Chapter 249: Magneto Bows His Head to the Emperor
The Emperor's will.
If it had been before, leaving ordinary people aside, Magneto would definitely have scoffed at it. He might even have looked at them as if they were idiots and casually killed them.

Professor X breathed a sigh of relief. He knew Magneto had finally reconciled with his past self.
Just as Professor X was about to say something, Skye's and Jessica's expressions suddenly changed.
Their figures blurred and vanished from where they stood.
When they appeared again, they were already in front of Magneto—especially Skye.
She had already reached out her right hand. Under Magneto's confused gaze, her hand passed beside his head and grabbed behind him.
It turned out that at some unknown moment, a hand had silently reached toward the back of Magneto's neck.
Skye grabbed that hand.
Her palm was already glowing with a pure white ball of light, but inside that white light, a dazzling crimson ring swirled.
Two powers fought madly within the light.
As for Jessica, she appeared behind that person. With terrifying killing intent, her right fist was covered in a dark sheen, and she raised her hand before smashing it down heavily.
But that person also stretched out another hand and actually blocked Jessica's punch, which contained more than a hundred tons of force, from a distance.
Boom!
A wave of air exploded. Sabretooth and Mystique were sent flying with innocent looks on their faces. Only the thick, simple-looking Juggernaut stood there in place, as if the raging blast was no different from a breeze to him.
"Jean!"
This sudden change happened so fast that no one present reacted in time. Not far away, the X-Men had to raise both hands in front of them against the incoming gale.
Fortunately, the shockwave burst out in an instant and then stopped just as suddenly.
When Logan and the others saw the individual confronting Skye and Jessica, their eyes widened in sheer disbelief as they cried out in shock.
Indeed, the person was none other than Jean Grey. However, she was completely different from the Jean they knew.
She stood behind Magneto, one hand held tightly by Skye, while her other hand was raised to the side. With vast telekinetic power, she had blocked Jessica's terrifying punch from across the air.
Her wine-red shoulder-length hair danced in the wind. Her face no longer carried gentleness, but a frightening gloom. Her pupils were dyed crimson.
She was filled with an unimaginable madness.
"Jean, how can this be?"
Professor X almost instantly saw what had happened to his student. His brows locked tightly, filled with confusion and pain.
Magneto reacted very quickly. He immediately stepped sideways and retreated, making space, while rapidly strengthening the defensive magnetic field protecting him.
At the same time, he used his ability to pull back Mystique and Sabretooth, who had been blown away.
"Juggernaut, get over here!"
Magneto gave Juggernaut a low shout. The latter scratched the metal helmet on his head, his bull-like eyes rolling around. Without saying anything, he took large strides and walked over to Magneto's side.
To him, Magneto was his employer.
And one who was very willing to pay.
So he had to listen.
Besides, this employer was very strong.
"Charles, what madness has gotten into your student?" Magneto ran to the side and questioned his old friend, who was less than ten meters away.
That moment just now had almost scared him into having a heart attack.
That woman had somehow, without him noticing, quietly pierced through his defensive magnetic field. He did not know what Jean's hand would have done to him.
But no matter how he looked at it, it did not seem like anything good.
Magneto was proud, but he was not stupid.
