Marvel: Sign-In System – Starting with the Glint-Glint Fruit

Chapter 236: The Emperor Enters the Hell Dimension Alone

Carrie's problem had been resolved. Now all that remained was for Matthew to deal with the mastermind behind it.

Hell was a dimension inhabited by countless demons and undead.

But "Hell" was only a general term. There were countless Hell dimensions, and together they were collectively known as Hell.

Many powerful demons occupied their own dimensions, and each of those places was also called Hell.

Those who held authority over a dimension were known as Hell Lords.

Mephisto could be said to be one of the most powerful Hell Lords in all of Hell, even a strong contender for the title of Satan.

In the eyes of many demons, Mephisto was basically Satan.

Whether or not there was exaggeration in that, it was enough to show how powerful Mephisto was.

But on this day, in Mephisto's Hell, within his own kingdom, an uninvited guest who did not belong to Hell arrived.

Rumble!!!

In Hell, where the sky was forever crimson, thunder suddenly rolled across the heavens. Terrifying lightning covered the sky like an ocean.

Endless thunder raged. Countless bolts of lightning kept exploding and streaking across the air, mixed with black-red arcs.

Blue-white and black-red lightning wove together, and the terrifying pressure shook the entire realm.

Countless demons in Hell felt their hearts tremble.

Many weaker demons could not bear the vast will and aura released from above. They were shaken until they fainted on the spot—or even died.

"What is that?"

"Damn it, what a powerful mental shock. I can't control my body."

"Is the end coming?"

"Has the great Hell Lord grown angry?"

"No, that's not our master. I've never sensed this presence before—it doesn't belong to Hell."

"Who the hell is it? Who dares run wild in our master's domain? Is this a provocation?"

"Run! If we don't run now, it'll be too late!"

Countless demons had different thoughts, but cunning by nature, they immediately realized something was wrong and tried to flee.

Yet many of them suddenly found that their bodies refused to obey them.

The reason was that the terrifying will filling the air had suppressed them in place, leaving them unable to move.

And the demons who had already fainted were enough to show just how terrifying that will was.

Even the high-level demons could still move, but the pressure made the once-familiar space feel thick and heavy. It was as if something had filled their spiritual worlds, throwing even their thoughts into chaos.

It was simply unbelievable.

Who could possibly possess such a strange power?

The demons of Hell had many kinds of abilities, countless and varied, but in the end, they all belonged to one system. Even if those abilities were strange, they could still be understood.

But this almost brutal suppression of will was truly rare, because it meant the difference in life level was far too great.

And it was not simple suppression by the level of a god. It was suppression on the level of will.

All the demons within Mephisto's kingdom of Hell turned their attention to this terrifying arrival.

Of course, the smarter ones kept their distance.

After all, such an obviously hostile entrance was without doubt an insult to a ruler of Mephisto's level.

There had once been demons who challenged Mephisto, after all. Hell was a place where the weak were prey to the strong.

With enough power, no demon could resist the temptation of becoming a ruler of Hell.

It was just that Mephisto was too powerful.

Powerful enough that every demon who challenged him would be crushed without mercy, then reduced to Mephisto's slave, toy, or even part of his collection.

Whether this challenger would succeed this time was unknown.

And sure enough—

Mephisto could no longer sit still.

Boom!

A familiar and terrifying aura erupted like a volcano, shaking all of Hell.

The raging force stirred endless hellfire into a storm that swept across the sky.

It crashed into the ocean of thunder above.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Two completely different powers collided and fought, causing dense sparks of hellfire to fall from the sky, along with bolts of lightning striking down one after another.

Quite a few unlucky demons within the area were hit by this disaster. Some were burned to ash by hellfire, while others were struck into charcoal by lightning.

Even the Hell Dimension began to tremble faintly.

The sky of Hell was split in two by two colors.

One side was a crimson sea of hellfire.

The other was a sea of lightning where blue-white and black-red light wove together.

That dazzling scene became a brutal spectacle, crashing into the eyes of every demon present with overwhelming force—a display of sheer power that left them stunned.

Just as the demons thought an unprecedented war was about to begin, high in the sky, Mephisto appeared no longer in his human form. His body was tall and thin, his skin crimson, and he wore only torn brown shorts and a red cape. Behind him, a long spiked tail swayed.

He stared fixedly at the figure floating in the sea of thunder.

That figure wore a simple black coat over a white T-shirt. The outfit was plain, yet it carried overwhelming dominance.

Especially with black-red lightning constantly striking down around him, exploding again and again, it added an even deeper sense of mystery and majesty.

"Matthew, are you trying to start a war with Hell?"

Mephisto's tone carried an emotion that was hard to describe, but overall, he remained calm.

His attitude toward Matthew had gradually changed.

At first, there had been curiosity. Then came interest. Eventually, he came to recognize Matthew's strength and even showed a hint of goodwill. Their positions had quietly shifted without either of them realizing it.

Even though Matthew was still a level below Mephisto in strength,

Mephisto understood his potential better than anyone.

From beginning to end, Mephisto had met Matthew face-to-face three or four times, and each time, he could see Matthew's strength grow by leaps and bounds.

Most importantly, the time between each meeting was only a few short months.

For demons, and even for ordinary humans, a few months was almost nothing in the span of a life.

That alone showed how absurd Matthew's growth speed was.

There were many naturally divine races. Mephisto knew this and had seen plenty. The universe was too vast, and some races were born like they had cheated, standing at a height other races could never reach in their entire lives.

But what race was Matthew?

To put it harshly, humans were among the lowest in the entire universe.

Their genes were backward, their era was backward, everything was backward. The upper limit of their genes alone was enough to lock away 99.99999% of humans, from ancient times to the modern day.

Even if some accident allowed someone to break through that genetic limit, how many could truly grow?

Matthew was absolutely the most unreasonable one Mephisto had ever seen.

It was not simply that Matthew progressed quickly, but that there was a veil around him—a veil Mephisto could not see through or understand at all.

That was the real reason Mephisto had developed a desire to show goodwill.

At Mephisto's level, as long as someone was a person, as long as their life level was below his, there was no one he could not see through.

He was one of the strongest Hell Lords, roughly on par with the top tier of Skyfather-level beings.

It was fine if he could not see through the Ancient One. That woman was stronger than him—there was no question about that.

But if he could not see through Matthew, then that meant something.
