Pregnant by the Prince of Lust(BL)

Chapter 153: The Reclusive Master’s Proposal

Luceriel’s POV

Rona glanced at Luceriel and offered a cheeky wink.

Luceriel gave her an unamused, questioning look in return.

"He is so beautiful, I really can’t help it," Rona whispered. "No wonder no one has seen his face until now, and no wonder he’s been secluded on that mountain since birth. His beauty is exceptional."

"Get out!" Luceriel commanded, pointing his finger toward the door. The last thing he wanted was for his second-in-command to fall for a master known for his seclusion, a master no one had seen until now, a master in whom he had zero interest.

"Don’t say I didn’t tell you," Rona said, winking at him again before walking out.

Luceriel could hear her exchanging pleasantries with Master Paziel in the hall, and for no reason at all, he shifted restlessly in his seat.

Why the hell was this master here to see him unannounced? Luceriel despised those who appeared without a summons, and he hated having his order disrupted.

"Master Paziel is coming in now, Your Highness," the guard announced.

The doors glided open, and he walked in.

Luceriel kept his eyes fixed on one of the books, pretending to read the titles, but he could not block out the overwhelming presence that flooded the pavilion the moment the master stepped inside.

The rich, intoxicating scent of wild violet orchids filled his lungs, the strong, heavy scent of a supreme alpha, just like him. Heat rushed through Luceriel almost immediately, something he had not felt even when they had stood together in the throne room.

Why the hell was he feeling this way, especially toward a master he had never even properly looked at?

Fated mate.

The words echoed in his head, but Luceriel knew better. There was no way in hell this man was his mate. He would have felt it sooner, and besides, he didn’t believe in fated mates. He never had, and this wasn’t real.

"Your Highness," Master Paziel greeted, lowering his head.

Goodness, his deep voice made Luceriel, who had been pretending to read, lift his head to look properly at the man who was making his heart race.

And goodness, he truly was as beautiful as Rona had described. He had dark violet hair, glowing amethyst eyes that held a dangerous light, a perfectly sculpted jawline, and a single purple earring dangling from his ear, lending him an almost ethereal quality.

Luceriel found himself staring at him in sheer awe.

"You must be mesmerized by me, Your Highness, seeing as you couldn’t help but stare for so long," Paziel’s deep voice sounded through the room again.

Luceriel frowned at him, his pride flaring at how confident the man was. "Do not get ahead of yourself," he said, in the most disdainful tone he could summon. "I am simply wondering what business an uninvited master has, barging into my pavilion. State your purpose, Master Paziel, and do not waste my time."

Paziel lowered his head in mock apology, a faint smirk touching his lips. "Forgive me, Your Highness." Yet his deep voice still sent an unwanted shiver down Luceriel’s body.

"What do I owe this visit to, Master Paziel?" Luceriel asked coldly. "Is the room you were allocated not to your taste? Do you require something else, or do you have some issue with the disciples you were brought here to teach?"

Paziel shook his head slowly. "None of those. I simply came to see you, to look upon the beauty everyone in the realm speaks of."

Luceriel scoffed, his eyes narrowing. "I don’t find your words interesting. You came into my private space merely to speak of my beauty? That has nothing to do with what you were called here to do."

Paziel chuckled darkly, to Luceriel’s disbelief. Before Luceriel could even blink, Paziel had vanished and reappeared directly behind his chair, leaning down until his breath brushed against Luceriel’s ear.

"What do you think I was called here for, Your Highness?" Paziel whispered smoothly.

"Have you lost your senses!" Luceriel shouted, whipping around to face him.

Their faces stopped mere inches apart, lips almost touching. Caught completely off guard, Luceriel reflexively cast his Time Stop across the pavilion.

The entire room froze instantly. He expected Paziel to be paused along with everything else, but he was shocked to find Paziel still there, right in his face, grinning down at him, entirely unaffected.

"Who the hell are you!" Luceriel demanded at once. The only ones who could withstand his time were his brothers, Seraphel, and a handful of high-ranking demon lords and gods. "Are you... a demon?" He stood immediately, trying to shove Paziel away, but his hands were caught effortlessly and pinned behind his back, his body pulled tight against Paziel’s own. "You are... Pazuzu!"

"That was quick," Paziel chuckled. "No wonder you are the first brother. You are just as sharp as they say. And also," he leaned in and breathed him in deeply, "you smell incredible. Your scent drove me so mad I had to spend an entire week on that mountain pretending to be some master, all because I wanted to meet you."

Luceriel struggled fiercely against Paziel, trying to wrench free, but then he felt Paziel’s hand cup his broad chest through his robes.

"What a perfect chest," Pazuzu purred, his voice dripping with amusement. "I never knew the proud ruler of Verolona would be this attractive up close."

Pazuzu. The last person Luceriel expected was right here, holding him.

"Let go of me, you pervert, and how the hell did you even get in here?" Luceriel demanded, slamming his elbow back into Pazuzu’s stomach with all his strength and shoving him against the wooden bookshelf. He wrapped his hand tightly around Pazuzu’s neck. "What is a demon prince doing here, and how did you get in?"

Pazuzu raised his hands in mock surrender, chuckling. "What are you going to do about it, once you find out?" he asked, laughing softly. "Are you going to kill me?"

"Shut up!" Luceriel shouted, pressing his hand harder against his throat. "What do you want? Why are you here?"

Pazuzu smiled, placing his hand gently over Luceriel’s wrist. With shocking, effortless strength, he forced Luceriel’s hand down, then wrapped his own hand around Luceriel’s throat, reversing their positions in a single motion and slamming Luceriel hard against the shelf.

Leaning in close, Pazuzu whispered, "I came here to marry you, Luceriel."
