Pregnant by the Prince of Lust(BL)

Chapter 152: Lost Visions and Unexpected Guests

Luceriel’s POV

"We agreed on two months before you could see the human, brother." Luceriel raised the corner of his mouth in a cold, mocking smirk toward Azriel, who wouldn’t stop asking about Seraphel and wanting to visit Verolona to see him.

Azriel let out a groan as he sat down right in front of Luceriel. He had taken to teleporting like this into Luceriel’s pavilion every day, just to ask how Seraphel was doing, and to watch over him every night, even though Luceriel forbade it.

"You have no idea how deeply I am affected by not having him right by my side," Azriel said, pacing around Luceriel’s pavilion. "I am losing my mind. He is my mate, and I am so desperate to see him again."

Luceriel rolled his eyes in irritation as he set down the book in his hand. "It has only been a week, so why the hell are you up in my face, Azriel? His training starts next week, now that he has been introduced to his masters, so you can start counting down."

"But the separation is messing with my head," Azriel groaned. "I miss him desperately."

Luceriel lowered his glasses, his eyes meeting his brother’s, and let out a dry chuckle. "You miss him, or perhaps you miss fucking him?"

"Both," Azriel answered, a knowing smirk playing on his face. "I miss both, and that’s why I just want to see him once, and—"

Luceriel slammed the book down on the table, already tired of hearing his brother speak. He had tolerated it all, had even gone out of his way to let Azriel teleport into Verolona every night, adjusting his kingdom’s barriers each evening just to make sure Azriel could sleep by Seraphel’s side, even though the idea irritated him. He simply wanted them to have their moments.

Luceriel didn’t care whether they loved each other; he had never believed in that trash. But given how persistent Azriel could be, he let him stay, especially once he learned that Mirevale’s curse had been destroyed. No one had been able to explain why it suddenly vanished, but Sariel believed it might be tied to Castiel’s light, and that theory alone had put everyone at ease, a sign that Seraphel’s power was growing, and that one day they might truly remove the curse that had tormented them all since birth.

"I granted you the grace to see him because I wanted to. But if you dare disturb me like this every day, I will make certain you never see him again until the two months are up."

Azriel ran a hand through his hair. "Just once, Luceriel. I am dying here, hoping he feels me the way I feel him every night."

"I don’t care about your strange fantasies, dear brother. This is Verolona, and we are the finest kingdom there is, unlike your kingdom of lust, so I will not allow such desires to be paraded about simply because you cannot keep it in your pants. If you are so desperate for someone to fuck, feel free to return to your former life."

"Hell no!" Azriel fired back.

Luceriel raised his brows, watching his brother reject the very thing he had once cherished so completely, how every day used to be spent entirely in lust, but now he claimed to be changed. Luceriel didn’t believe it.

After all, love had never existed to him.

"I will wait until the two months are over," Azriel muttered.

Luceriel picked up the book from the table once more and stared back at the same line he had been reading over and over. "How goes the search for Uriel?" he asked, lifting his head.

Azriel scratched the back of his neck. "I should get to that. I will be back tonight, so take care of my mate, dear brother, until then." He winked at Luceriel and disappeared, as if he had never been there at all.

The moment he left, Luceriel picked the book back up to read again. The same line he had been reading over and over concerned visions: What could stop a newly recovered vision?

He had regained his visions after Caelum’s death, but ever since, he had been unable to see anything, and the only brother powerful enough to figure out what was happening to him was missing.

Ever since the battle, Uriel had not been found, and there had been no news from his kingdom or from Elysium.

"Your Highness," a voice called from outside his door.

Luceriel lifted his head, closed the book, and slid it beneath his table. He removed his glasses and set them down gently in the spot where everything was arranged with precision, making sure every quill and parchment sat perfectly in place, as befitting his title as Prince.

"Come in," Luceriel said.

The door opened, and Rona, his second-in-command, entered with a stack of heavy books in her arms. She wore a dull white robe patterned with dark sigils, a monocle fastened over one eye by a fine silver string, and her short, wavy red hair framed a sharp, angular face.

"These are all the books on visions that I could find, Your Highness," Rona announced, dropping them onto Luceriel’s table.

Luceriel said nothing as he picked up the first one, titled Dark Magic and Visions, glanced through it, and closed it again almost at once. "There is nothing here to explain why I have suddenly lost my visions?"

Rona shook her head, then sniffed the air of his pavilion. "Lust was here?"

Luceriel nodded.

"He must be truly obsessed with his mate, to appear here like this," Rona murmured. "He never comes to Verolona."

Luceriel folded his arms and said nothing further. In his head, he had a great deal going on, asking himself the same question over and over. had someone tampered with him? He couldn’t figure it out.

"Any news on Elysium?" Luceriel asked after a pause.

Rona shook her head. "Not yet, Your Highness. The spy I planted there has not reported back in a week, and since time flows differently in Elysium, I cannot say how long that truly is. If I don’t have information by next week, I may enter Elysium myself."

"Be careful, Rona, and—" His words were cut off by a sharp knock at the door.

He lifted his head and looked toward the entrance, a deep frown forming. "And who might that be?" he demanded.

"Your Highness, Master Paziel is here to see you," the guard at the entrance announced.
