Chapter 141: With Azriel
Seraphel
"Where are we going?" I asked softly as the glowing portal rippled open before us.
Azriel stepped out of the blinding light and into the cool, still air, his strong arms still cradling me securely against his chest. He gently lowered my feet to the ground, a warm, fond smile touching his lips as he gestured to the surroundings. "We are in one of my desire domains," he answered softly.
My eyes widened as I took in every single inch of the hidden sanctuary.
We were standing inside a massive, enchanted cavern, but it felt less like a dark cave and more like a secret paradise hidden beneath the heavens.
The jagged stone ceiling opened up directly above us, revealing a breathtaking view of a midnight sky dusted with millions of shimmering, eternal stars. Right beneath the open sky, at the very center of the chamber, lay a serene, crystal-clear pool filled with soft, glowing lotuses that floated gently on the water’s surface, casting a soft, ethereal light across the stone walls.
To the right, a low wooden table was draped in deep velvet, set with a lavish, covered dinner and illuminated by the flickering glow of tall candles. But what instantly drew my gaze to the left was a massive swing suspended from the high rock ceiling—crafted entirely from thick, flowering vines with a broad seat woven out of soft, glowing lotus petals.
"Wow! You really went all out for our last date together!" I exclaimed, my face lighting up with pure delight as I hurried over and climbed onto the lotus swing.
Azriel followed close behind, his footsteps silent against the smooth stone. He stepped up behind me, his large hands gently gripping the vine ropes before giving the seat a light, steady push. "Do you enjoy this?" he murmured, watching me as I swung forward into the cool air.
I nodded vigorously, gripping the vines tightly as the wind brushed through my hair. "Yes! Yes! This is amazing... the best date ever!"
"Date?" Azriel repeated, tilting his head slightly, a flicker of genuine confusion crossing his features as he looked down at me.
I knew deep down, he was wondering what the hell I meant by a Date. for a world as big as author nude’s story, I never imagined that it would be filled with words that they never heard of.
"Yes. We are having a wonderful date," I replied, turning my head to flash my lashes at him with a wide grin.
He continued to stare at me, his dark brows furrowed in complete bewilderment at the unfamiliar term.
"I mean... it means we are having an amazing time together like this,’’ I clarified, leaning closer toward him. Before he could question it further, I leaned up and pressed a soft, lingering kiss against his lips.
Instantly, the confusion melted from his face, replaced by a deep, radiant smile. I silently vowed to stop throwing my world’s slang at him if it meant getting that look every time.
Azriel kept up a steady rhythm, pushing the swing higher while I let out breathless gasps of excitement, soaring toward the open star-filled canopy. For those few precious moments, the lingering terror of my encounter with Lord Vaust vanished entirely.
The blinding lightning, the sheer shock of accidentally channeling sacred light to burn him all faded into distant noise.
Azriel’s calm, absolute reassurance that I had done nothing wrong was the only truth I needed to hold onto.
"Your turn!" I called out like a child taking their very first ride, turning around on the lotus seat.
I fully expected him to scoff or shake his head at such a mortal pastime, but to my absolute shock, Azriel merely chuckled. He caught my hands, pulling me gently down from the swing before taking a seat on the woven lotus bed himself.
"Now, I am going to push you!" I declared proudly.
Azriel rested his long hands on the vine ropes, a teasing glint in his crimson eyes. "Well, give it all you’ve got, little lotus."
Taking a deep breath, I planted my feet, leaned forward, and shoved his back with everything I had.
I let out a loud, strained groan—and the swing barely twitched an inch.
Determined, I threw my entire body weight into a second attempt, only for my feet to slip on the smooth stone. I staggered awkwardly, nearly tumbling headfirst onto the ground.
A deep, booming laugh erupted from Azriel, echoing through the cavern walls as he watched me struggle. He didn’t even try to hide his amusement at my utter lack of physical strength compared to his divine frame.
I snapped my head back, rolling my eyes in sheer frustration as I let go of the vines, my cheeks burning with irritation. ’’oh this is not working as expected!’’
Noticing the sharp shift in my mood, Azriel immediately turned around on the seat. "Did I do something wrong, little lotus?" he asked softly. ’’You seemed to have turned red from frustration.’’
I scowled, crossing my arms over my chest, and turned on my heel to walk away toward the lotus pool. I didn’t even make it two steps before a strong, unyielding arm wrapped tightly around my waist, pulling me straight back against his chest.
"Let go of me," I grumbled through gritted teeth, pushing uselessly against his forearm.
"Never," Azriel purred against my ear. He pressed a warm, lingering kiss to the side of my lips before lifting me effortlessly and settling me right onto his lap. "I want to ride this with you."
A sudden, violent flutter erupted in the pit of my stomach. Heat rushed straight from my neck up to the tips of my ears, turning my face a deep, betraying shade of red. I averted my eyes, staring fixedly down at his dark robes to hide my embarrassment.
"If we both put our weight on this, the vines are going to snap and we’ll fall," I muttered softly, though my hands were already shyly gripping the edge of his tunic, completely unwilling to get down.
Azriel let out a low, rumbling chuckle that vibrated straight through his chest into mine. He tightened his grip around my waist, pulling me so close there wasn’t a single breath of space left between us. "Have you forgotten who your man is? I am a Prince of the Sins, darling. A simple swing obeys my will."
He briefly loosened his hold around my waist, making my heart sink for a fraction of a second thinking he had changed his mind. But before I could react, he gently shifted my body, turning me around until I was straddling his lap, my legs wrapped securely around his waist.
"I want to see your face while we ride this," he said, his voice dropping into a thick, velvety hush. He brushed a few stray locks of hair behind my ear, his knuckles tracing the line of my burning cheek before he slowly leaned in and captured my lips.
At the exact same moment, the swing began to move, gliding smoothly into the air without either of us touching the ground.
Instinctively, I raised my arms and wound them tightly around his neck, deepening the kiss as if my very soul depended on it.
The kiss began slow and tender, a gentle exploration that sent shivers straight down my spine. But as the swing glided higher under the starlit sky, the rhythm shifted completely.
Azriel’s grip on my hips tightened, his fingers digging into my skin with a raw, possessive dominance. He tilted his head, nipping sharply at my bottom lip until a soft gasp escaped my throat, and the second my lips parted, his tongue surged forward to claim mine.
It became an intoxicating, breathless war for control.
Azriel tangled his tongue with mine, demanding every drop of my devotion, tasting me with a fierce hunger that made my mind go completely blank.
Every time I tried to meet his intensity, he overwhelmed me effortlessly, sweeping his tongue deeper, pulling me into an abyss of pure heat.
The sensation of flying high above the glowing lotuses while locked in his suffocating, possessive embrace was utterly magical.
My heart hammered wildly against my ribs, every nerve ending firing with electricity as he drank me in, refusing to give me room to breathe. The taste of him, the firm, unyielding press of his chest against mine, and the rhythmic sway of the swing made the rest of the world completely cease to exist because I was with Azriel.
