Pregnant by the Prince of Lust(BL)

Chapter 121: Taking Back What Is Mine

Eiren’s POV

The deed was done.

Eiren stared down at his own trembling hands, his mind struggling to process the reality of what had just transpired in the dimly lit chamber.

In the absolute blink of an eye, he had brought down the formidable Prince of Lust.

His heart hammered wildly against his ribcage, a frantic drumbeat of terror and disbelief echoing in his ears as the gravity of his treason finally settled heavily upon his shoulders.

Eiren had fully anticipated his own demise tonight. He had walked into this secluded room completely prepared to have his neck snapped before his fingers could even brush the hilt of the hidden blade.

Azriel was a monster of unmatched power, a being who could slaughter hundreds with a mere flick of his wrist. Yet, the strike had landed perfectly, slipping past the Sin’s legendary defenses with terrifying ease.

A twisted, bitter realization washed over the former concubine as he stared at the motionless figure on the cold marble floor.

Azriel had trusted him. The Prince of Lust must have trusted him far more than he had ever let on, because why else would the paranoid Sin have agreed to grant him a private audience?

The room grew suffocatingly silent.

While Eiren’s thoughts spiraled dangerously out of control, the empty space near the far wall suddenly rippled and tore open, revealing a glowing purple portal. The unnatural light cast long, eerie shadows across the stone as Caelum stepped confidently out from the dimensional rift.

The celestial being unfurled his brilliant white wings wide behind his back.

"Ah, I got the signal," Caelum noted, his cold gaze falling directly onto the paralyzed form of Azriel.

A cruel smirk played on his lips. "I must admit, I never expected that you would take down the Prince of Lust so easily and fast."

Eiren barely registered the praise. His eyes were glued to Azriel, who lay deathly still.

The innate warmth and vibrant energy were draining rapidly from Azriel’s pale skin, leaving him looking hollow and drained of all color, exactly like a lifeless corpse.

Panic flared sharply in Eiren’s chest. He dropped roughly to his knees, his silk robes pooling around him on the floor.

"He... he is not dead, is he?" Eiren asked, his voice cracking with sudden dread. He leaned down, ignoring the blood on the floor, and pressed his ear directly over Azriel’s chest. He held his breath, closing his eyes as he desperately strained to hear a pulse, a shallow breath, or the frantic racing of a heartbeat, but he caught absolutely nothing.

Caelum let out a low, deeply amused chuckle, clearly enjoying the mortal’s frantic display of affection. "He is a Sin," the celestial stated smoothly. "I am honestly surprised you were able to take him down that fast. But rest assured, if he dies, he would become a demon—a devastatingly powerful one, a force far crazier than what you could ever think of so he won’t die.’’

A spark of possessive relief lit up Eiren’s tear-stained eyes. Leaning down further, he pressed a soft, lingering kiss onto Azriel’s icy forehead, brushing a stray lock of silver hair away from the Sin’s closed eyes before standing back up beside the celestial.

"Where are you taking him now?" Eiren demanded, folding his arms tightly across his chest to stop his hands from shaking.

"To another dimension," Caelum replied casually. He bent down and hoisted Azriel’s heavy, limp body over his shoulder without a hint of struggle. "At least until the siege is over. Before he wakes up, his mate will be long gone. And don’t worry, he won’t die like promised."

Caelum adjusted his grip on the fallen prince and leveled a knowing look at Eiren. "His Grace, Lord Zephyrus, promised to get you a powerful love potion that would make Azriel love you. So it will actually benefit you this time. once the deed is done, you shall get it.’’

Eiren nodded slowly, the prospect of having Azriel look at him with genuine devotion calmed the dread building up inside of him.

"Good luck to you, and stay out of trouble," Caelum warned, his tone turning serious. "Because by now, I am sure the princes and the human would have felt the loss of Azriel."

Without waiting for a response, the celestial turned and carried Azriel straight into the glowing purple portal, disappearing from sight as the spatial tear sealed shut behind him.

Left alone in the cold, quiet chamber, Eiren stumbled backward until his shoulders hit the heavy wooden door. He leaned against the solid wood, pressing a shaking hand flat over his rapidly rising and falling chest.

His heart started pounding again, beating even louder and faster than before as the magnitude of the impending siege washed over him.

Closing his eyes, his mind dragged him backward, forcefully recalling the exact plan they had finalized the night Zephyrus had secretly visited the palace grounds.

It had been a suffocatingly dark night. Eiren and Kaevian had stood in the shadows of the outer courtyard.

As high-ranking concubines within Azriel’s palace, their presence in the restricted zones never raised any alarms among the guard patrols. They had used this precise advantage to sneak Zephyrus, Jalem, and Caelum past the impenetrable magical barrier through Kaevian’s portal.

No breach alarms sounded, and absolutely no one suspected them.

Once safely inside the Concubine hall, they had immediately targeted three lower-ranking concubines returning to their quarters. The kills were silent and brutally efficient.

Jalem snapped their necks in the dark corridor, dragging their bodies out of sight and the three had taken the forms of the Concubines.

"I am doing this for myself," Eiren reminded himself out loud, snapping his eyes open and running a hand through his hair.

"I will become the consort," he hissed, his voice trembling with a potent mixture of envy and long-harbored resentment. "This title... this grand wedding... it should have never been for Seraphel! It was supposed to be mine! Why the hell does he get to have everything when it should have been mine?!"

A low groan tore from his throat. He clenched his hands into tight, white-knuckled fists. "It was supposed to be mine. I had been by his side for so long. Everything was supposed to fall into my hands, not that crazy human!"

Consumed by his bitter jealousy, Eiren dug his fingernails violently into his own flesh. He scratched and clawed at his palms, the physical pain grounding him, until his palms started pooling out with blood, dripping steadily onto the cold floor.

He stared at the red drops hitting the stone. He was not doing anything wrong. He aggressively pushed down the rising tide of guilt, refusing to entertain the notion that he had committed a vile betrayal. He had absolutely no reason to feel like he had done anything wrong because he was merely taking back what the universe had unfairly stolen from him.

While Eiren was deep in his spiraling, obsessive thoughts, the stone wall to his left suddenly rippled like water.

Kaevian stepped seamlessly into the room, passing straight through the solid barrier using his dark magic.

"You succeeded," Kaevian muttered under his breath, his boots making no sound as he walked slowly toward his Eiren, smiling. "Well done."
