Chapter 234 - 226: Ring Realm Group
While navigating the World-Dimension Space, the viewing angle could be adjusted by holding and dragging the mouse.
Zooming in revealed the Yao Race World, shaped like a brick. The newly integrated Wuzi Kingdom was a small cone, and at its end, the Bos God Realm was a thick horseshoe.
The three worlds, now joined together, looked like a broken machine part drifting alone in the Void.
To get a better view of the distance, Luh Yao zoomed out as far as possible.
The Yao Race World shrank to the size of a pea, drifting slowly.
Patches of light and vortices occasionally appeared in the background, but they were so distant that they were just blurry pixels.
A world self-destructing so nearby, like the Starfish World, was something he had only witnessed once.
This time, however, Luh Yao saw something completely different.
In the upper right corner, in the extreme distance, was a vast chain of small worlds.
They came in various shapes: one looked like a lightbulb, another like a pair of scissors missing its handles, another like a duck’s foot, and yet another like a fish ball broken in half... Each one was fragmented in some way.
These fragmented worlds revolved slowly around a central point, forming a three-dimensional ring.
As the Yao Race World drew closer, the structure’s features became clearer.
The ring’s total volume was roughly one hundred times that of the Yao Race World. The floating worlds orbiting it were smaller than the Yao Race World, but not by much. The white-misted world at its core was enormous, taking up about half the volume of the entire structure.
Luh Yao used [True Sight Curse] and learned the name of the central world.
...
[Yunzhong Temple]
[Divine Format]: None.
[Divinity]: Lowly as an Ant (229,306).
[Divine Body]: None (0).
...
’Judging by the name, is it a world named after a temple?’
’It’s enormous, yet there are no Gods or Believers inside. Still, it has a considerable amount of Fire of Faith.’
Luh Yao was filled with questions.
He tried clicking on Yunzhong Temple, but he couldn’t zoom in or gather any more useful information.
So Luh Yao shifted his focus back to the exterior.
Thanks to Yunzhong Temple’s presence, many small worlds orbited it, forming a massive, ring-shaped cluster of worlds.
Luh Yao thought of the Dark Star.
The Dark Star had also absorbed numerous Fragment Worlds, growing ever larger until its Rule Power began to distort the surrounding World Dimension and its influence radiated farther and farther.
Clearly, Yunzhong Temple was nowhere near that stage. It had only absorbed a few surrounding Fragment Worlds and had not distorted space.
It seemed more like a natural phenomenon caused by its own immense mass and powerful Rule Power.
After careful observation, Luh Yao made a new discovery.
Yunzhong Temple stabilized the movement of the surrounding Fragment Worlds. The worlds in the ring were orbiting Yunzhong Temple rather than being pulled into it, maintaining a near-perfect orbital path.
Anything that got close would be tugged in its direction by Yunzhong Temple’s Rule Power. Smaller Fragment Worlds had no way of resisting this pull.
A thought struck Luh Yao.
’This is a natural sanctuary.’
’The Divine Kingdoms controlled by the Gods are even smaller than ordinary Fragment Worlds. If one got too close to Yunzhong Temple, it would be pulled into the ring and become a part of the cluster.’
’From the perspective of the Gods, this quagmire is dangerous.’
’First, a Divine Kingdom locked in place would lose its mobility, which is extremely detrimental to its development.’
’Second, if caught in Yunzhong Temple’s vortex, a God would need to expend a massive amount of Fire of Faith to accelerate their Divine Kingdom and escape, resulting in a huge drain.’
Luh Yao, however, thought it was an excellent place.
The environment was stable, there was a ring of small worlds to slowly explore and mine, and Yunzhong Temple was at the center. It was also an area the Gods would naturally avoid, making another collision like the one with the Bos God unlikely.
Just to be safe, Luh Yao asked the former God, Selena.
"My Lord, that is a Realm Group."
"A Realm Group is a type of environment in the World Dimension. It forms around a core of one or more large worlds with powerful rules, and other worlds are affected and bound by its influence."
"The core that creates a Realm Group maintains a Rule Power far stronger than its peers for various reasons. This Rule Power continuously affects its surroundings... Of course, this runaway phenomenon also occurs because the Realm Group’s core is, itself, on a path to destruction."
"The Gods call it a [Vortex World]."
Selena explained in detail, "Just as the name implies, a Vortex World creates a massive vortex in the World Dimension that constantly captures and binds nearby worlds and Divine Kingdoms. Over time, this vortex slowly expands."
"A Vortex World is a calamity for the Gods. If a Divine Kingdom is unlucky enough to enter a World Dimension vortex while traveling, it will likely be ensnared. This forces the God to consume a vast amount of Fire of Faith to escape the binding."
Luh Yao had a general idea now.
To the Gods, a Vortex World was a universally despised obstacle that everyone made a point to avoid.
There was one last question.
’Would Titled Deities, or even Main Gods, take notice of a Vortex World?’
’It does contain Fire of Faith, after all.’
"Titled Deities can enter a Vortex World if they have special Artifacts or by using deployed species."
Selena said, "However, as far as I know, They never do."
"A Vortex World may be large, but it contains only the ruins and remains of various civilizations. Its value is incomparable to that of an Unowned World or even most Divine Kingdoms."
"Considering the unpredictable dangers, investing Fire of Faith or sacrificing Apostles and Believers is simply not worth the risk."
The Tyrant concluded, "As for Main Gods, They cannot enter the Crawling Area. A Main God would need to undergo Demotion to enter this region of the World Dimension, and it holds no appeal for Them whatsoever."
"Titled Deities spend most of their time in the Flying District. That’s where they find the resources and opportunities to advance further..."
Selena had explained the situation with Vortex Worlds in exhaustive detail.
Luh Yao completely understood.
Because of their low returns and extremely high risks, the Divine Group generally viewed Vortex Worlds with disdain. If a God was unlucky enough to get caught, they’d have to burn Fire of Faith just to speed up and get away.
To use a crude analogy, it was like a giant, floating pile of dog shit. Because it was so big, there might be a coin or something else hidden inside.
Of course, most of the time, what’s inside a pile of dog shit is just more dog shit, and it’s only good for grossing you out.
Luh Yao maneuvered his Fragment World, inching it closer and closer to the Vortex World.
Once it was close enough to Yunzhong Temple, he discovered he no longer needed to control it. The Yao Race World, just like the other worlds in the Realm Group, began to slowly orbit Yunzhong Temple.
This gave him a massive, reliable shelter. No more Gods would be passing by looking for trouble. He could enjoy the leisurely life of a God for a while, and the Yao Race World also needed time to digest the fruits of the recent Divine War.
Now that the external environment was stable, Luh Yao finally turned his attention back to the world itself.
A prompt popped up in the simulator.
[Due to a serial murder case, public order in Yao City and Yan City has slightly declined.]
—Great God, one of your Believers has committed a crime far surpassing those of his peers. Do you wish to convert him into a Sinner?
[Yes] [No]
Luh Yao froze.
’A Sinner?’
’What’s this now?’
’A God-appointed ultimate villain?’
