I Have a God Simulator

Chapter 232 - 224: God Loves the World

When the war broke out, Uluu was repairing an Earth Traveling Boat.

He was very young for a Wuzi person.

In the Wuzi Kingdom, the young usually stayed in safe zones.

They had many things to learn: how to identify complex subterranean changes, pilot Earth Traveling Boats with skill and dexterity, construct towering earth arches, and even switch between living in solid and liquid states...

In Uda City, no one was faster than Uluu.

He could pilot a small Earth Traveling Boat, accelerating through the earth and leaving his peers far behind. He could also handle a large Earth Traveling Boat with such stability that the Wuzi People aboard felt no turbulence.

Uluu often navigated around underground magma, piloting his Earth Traveling Boat to leap over scorching, yellow-red streams of lava and repeatedly taking sharp turns on the edge of danger.

He felt there was still much more to explore in the hot zones deep underground.

For a normal, solid-state Wuzi person, Uluu’s style was radical. The elders would regularly examine his body, suspecting he was partially melted, which they believed made him so active and obsessed with speed.

Eventually, the elders simply put him in charge of repairing Earth Traveling Boats and forbade him from piloting one without permission, to prevent him from endangering himself or others of his race.

After the war began, the world became a completely different place.

One by one, the Wuzi elders rushed to the battlefield. They bravely piloted their Earth Traveling Boats, creating traps and sinkholes at the front lines to hinder and kill the enemy.

Uluu found that more and more Earth Traveling Boats needed repairs, yet fewer and fewer Earth Walkers returned.

He knew the war was not going well for the Kingdom.

Most Wuzi People were naturally sluggish. This sluggishness stemmed from the inherent Traits of Wuzi; as long as they had a safe space, they could remain fixed in place for a very, very long time.

To make the Wuzi People active, they needed to be heated until they approached a liquid state.

Once their solid bodies began to melt, the Wuzi People would become irritable and aggressive. They would envelop and dissolve various surrounding materials, incorporating useful metals into their own bodies.

The closer their bodies came to a liquid state, the harder it was to resist Devouring one another—a form of cannibalism among the Wuzi People.

Agitated Wuzi People were extremely expansionistic and very dangerous.

Therefore, most Wuzi People stayed in relatively cold regions, maintaining their solid-state composure rather than succumbing to a fluid Madness.

Uluu was always thinking, ’Is there a way for the Wuzi People to remain active without being filled with aggression and the instinct to annex...’

But the war made all of that unimportant.

Uluu resolved to go to the front lines and fight to defend the freedom and dignity of the Wuzi People!

He wanted to pilot an Earth Traveling Boat, speeding through the earth to appear and disappear unpredictably on the battlefield, wreaking havoc on the enemy’s formations.

However, his request was denied.

The reason was simple.

Apostle Zelkuku told him, "Your movements underground can help more Wuzi People. You can transport the wounded and the stragglers, and allow our warriors to appear behind enemy lines."

So, Uluu piloted his Earth Traveling Boat, shuttling beneath the battlefield to support the Wuzi warriors, serving as logistics personnel.

He saw with his own eyes his kinsmen fighting bravely against the enemy.

The Wuzi warriors threw stones and used the Wuzi from their own bodies to create Wurei.

The neatly arranged enemy phalanxes raised their shields. The Wurei could not break through their Armor and shields, creating only a few sparks and flashes of light. The stones, however, caused them some trouble.

The Imperial Army’s attacks were far more ferocious.

A rain of flaming arrows descended from the sky, igniting the Black Mud of the Wuzi People and blowing the Wuzi warriors to pieces one by one.

To retaliate, the Wuzi warriors hid underground. When the enemy passed by, they would rush out, ignite themselves, and become a human Wurei of immense power, taking numerous enemy soldiers with them in a final blaze.

Watching his once-familiar kinsmen turn into blinding flames and thunderous explosions, one after another, Uluu realized that no matter how fast he drove his Earth Traveling Boat, he could not help them escape death.

A slow, solidified life had become a luxury.

「A short time later.」

The Sand People Apostle, Yate’er, died in battle.

Apostle Zelkuku, who had been in the rear, personally joined the fray.

But the defensive line kept retreating, falling back again and again, all the way to the outskirts of Uda City.

Uluu prepared to turn himself into a Wurei.

He had already planned to pilot a small Earth Traveling Boat up from below and into the Earth Array, igniting his entire body where the enemy numbers were greatest and where the Sand Lizards were, in order to kill as many of them as possible.

Apostle Zelkuku issued an order to all Wuzi People: Hold Firmly to the defensive line. Do not attack.

He said something that no one could make sense of.

"The counterattack will begin here."

Just as the defensive line was crumbling under the assault of the Imperial Army, a group of blue-skinned warriors suddenly appeared. There were only a hundred of them, but they withstood the repeated charges and volleys from numerous legions.

Every one of the blue warriors charged fearlessly into the enemy ranks. They braved the Empire’s rain of arrows and ballista bolts, swinging their axes and great hammers, engaging the Imperial Army in a brutal meat grinder of a battle.

The battle of attrition steadily reduced the number of blue warriors, but the Imperial side also left behind a field of corpses and remains.

Uluu heard that among these blue-skinned warriors was a painter, a Recorder of the battlefield who drew a portrait of every Wuzi person. Unfortunately, Uluu never got to see him.

Zelkuku offered no explanation for these reinforcements, only taking the lead to Hold Firmly.

The battlefield remained at a stalemate.

The Fearless Empire suddenly lost its Patience. Dozens of legions launched an all-out assault, their soldiers charging forward like madmen, turning to ash and charcoal alongside the self-destructing Wuzi People.

At that moment, Uluu saw a mountain moving slowly.

It looked somewhat like an earth arch, but it possessed a solemn, Holy God-like majesty.

The Divine Body of King Wuzi had appeared.

A God had entered the war.

A seemingly ordinary soldier suddenly flew over and engaged the mountain-sized King Wuzi in battle.

Then another giant, exuding a terrifying aura, joined the fight. It seemed to be on the Wuzi Kingdom’s side, fighting alongside King Wuzi against the soldier.

The space around them twisted as if it were burning. The God’s Miracle tore the ground asunder. Huge swathes of land were charred and crystallized, while stone spikes grew from the earth, piercing the Skyline...

Just by witnessing this scene, Uluu felt himself rapidly melting, his body and consciousness spiraling out of control.

He quickly hid underground and stopped watching.

The battle of Gods was a domain that only other Gods could gaze upon directly.

A short time later, Uluu saw the Empire’s soldiers turn into transparent crystal one by one, shattering into glittering fragments that covered the hills and plains. Their God let out a roar of rage and indignation, but Uluu could not understand the language of Gods.

The fallen Bos God transformed into a ball of white light, blasting a mountain-sized crater into the ground. All the earth and rock within the crater was burned into a smooth, flowing, crystalline substance.

Just like that, the war ended without any warning.

The Wuzi Kingdom, which had been suffering one defeat after another, had reversed its fate in a single battle and emerged the victor.

Only after the war did Uluu learn that this was all due to the appearance of the Yao God.

The Yao God had taken pity on the Wuzi People’s suffering and extended a helping hand to the Wuzi Kingdom, bringing the war to an end.

As for the Bos God, unable to withstand the Yao God’s Divine Power, yet unwilling to accept defeat, he had ultimately chosen to destroy the Empire he had built with his own hands...

As the Wuzi Kingdom was integrated into the Yao God’s Divine Kingdom, King Wuzi also became a Subordinate God to the Yao God, but He would continue to protect the Wuzi Race.

At first, the Wuzi People were very apprehensive about the strange and powerful Yao God.

His mere existence had driven the mighty Bos God to self-destruct in despair... such power was beyond the limits of their imagination.

Soon, the Wuzi People discovered that the Yao God, who was like a Divine King, was surprisingly magnanimous and benevolent.

Within His Divine Kingdom lived many remnants of the Old Gods, and they all lived well. Whether they chose to become part of the Yao Race or maintain their independence, the God did not interfere in the slightest.

Tales of the Yao God’s many Divine Miracles spread among the Yao Race: He defeated the Gods, gave people food and tools, tamed the evil black Sun, had the Dragon King guard the north and raise Extraordinary Creatures, made the Twin Cities shine with the light of humanity, and turned Saniluo into a paradise for Ghosts...

Uluu decided to go and see for himself.

He prayed in the devout Yao City and strolled through the bustling Yan City. In the north, he saw the majestic and imposing Dragon Nest, and in the south, he was surrounded by chirping, playful Little Elves.

In different cities, among different races, all kinds of life forms chanted the Yao God’s name, proud to be His followers.

In the process, Uluu also became one of the Yao God’s Believers.

He also found his purpose.

To become an Archaeologist.

It was a job that required constant travel, aiming to solve the mysteries of the past from underground—a life of coexisting danger and discovery.

His teacher, Fabiani, was happy to see him. He showed no discrimination toward this pitch-black, non-verbal apprentice, and even learned the Wuzi People’s sign language to communicate with him precisely.

Fabiani would seriously consider all of Uluu’s proposals—just as he did with the suggestions of his other apprentices.

Although the Archaeologist community was poor, everyone was very happy and didn’t feel their work was difficult or tiring at all.

"We are the decoders who wipe the dust from the past."

Fabiani said proudly, "Only by understanding the past can we find the future we want for the present."

"We are followers of the Yao God. He shows the same tolerance and offers the same Blessings to all people and professions."

"This is what sets the Yao God apart from other Gods."

"God loves all people."

Neither the Wuzi Kingdom nor the Fearless Empire had such a profession, nor had they ever had such a God.

...

Uluu returned from his thoughts.

The Earth Traveling Boat had docked at the exit of an earth arch inside Crystal City.

Even relying on muscle memory, he could pilot the vehicle at high speed underground.

Time was short. His teacher had to go to the Divine Valley on the Eastern Continent. He had excavated seeds from the former Rose Kingdom and needed to hand them over to Apostle Pinkman to better cultivate these miraculous ancient species.

The other apprentices had to return to the museum, partly to report to the Yan City council and partly to display the newly unearthed ancient artifacts.

Therefore, the mission in Crystal City was entrusted to Uluu for the time being.

He needed to investigate, excavate, and reconstruct the ancient History of the Fifth Fearless Empire and its state before its fall.

Uluu found it a bit absurd.

The Imperial Army had invaded the territory of the Wuzi Kingdom, but the one who buried the Empire was the very God they worshipped.

And here he was, a member of the Wuzi Race—a Deadly Enemy of the Empire—coming as an Archaeologist to protect the Empire’s ruins and artifacts, to bring their History back to light.

’May the Yao God protect me.’

’I hope everything goes smoothly, and the Ghosts of the Empire don’t decide to attack me.’

Uluu prayed in his heart.
