I Have a God Simulator

Chapter 211 205: What Happened?

After a series of battles, Apostle Zelkuku was covered in wounds.

Exhausted, he leaned against a rock in the cave, relying on the Earth Element to slowly repair his body.

As an Earth Golem, he possessed high resistance and Defense, and even had a chance to be immune to his opponent's attacks and Magic. However, his enemy's life-draining ability was a perfect counter. The opponent only grew stronger the longer they fought, unafraid of attrition, making it extremely difficult for Zelkuku to cope.

On the main battlefield, the Fifth Fearless Empire's army attacked like a relentless tide, winning every battle. This made Zelkuku, who was being held up, extremely anxious.

The enemy soldiers were equipped with fine spears, javelins, shields, and bows. They were experienced in combat and aided by an Extraordinary Creature with excellent Endurance, the [Sand Lizard].

Facing a regular army that far outnumbered their own, the hastily formed resistance of the Wuzi People could barely mount an effective Counterattack. Sometimes, Wuzi warriors even had to resort to Self-Destruction to slow the enemy's advance.

This was no solution at all.

If the Empire hadn't been trying to capture the Wuzi People alive and minimize casualties, the Kingdom's situation would be even more dire.

Zelkuku knew in his heart that the Wuzi Kingdom's chances of turning the tide and achieving victory were incredibly slim.

Even if the Wuzi People hid underground, the Empire's Sand Lizards could find them.

The enemy had already used a series of tactics, like flooding their tunnels with water, pouring in oil, and setting fires. Once ignited, the Black Mud was difficult to extinguish. Without this layer of protection, poisonous water would drive the Wuzi People to despair.

The Wuzi People had been fighting desperately against the enemy to protect their homes, Faith, and freedom.

But…

'How can we possibly win?'

Zelkuku silently pressed on his wounds, using Quicksand to mend them.

He suddenly rolled to the side.

CRASH! The spot where he had been was struck by a giant axe, sending shards of rock flying everywhere.

His enemy was like a shadow.

"Earth Golems certainly are tough."

The man grinned, pulling out a black giant axe as tall as a person. "A pity you ran into me. Let's see what triggers more: your High-Level Exemption, or my Bloodsucking Axe's drain."

Zelkuku regulated his breathing, trying to get himself into peak condition.

The man before him was one of Bos God's four Apostles, Shane.

Shane's Tier and Combat Power were both higher than his own.

Zelkuku's entry into the battle had finally stabilized the front line, but the arrival of Shane the Berserker shattered the balance. Most of the wounds on Zelkuku's body were from that great axe.

"I admire your loyalty and resilience. But since you refuse to submit to Lord Bos God, death is your only way out."

"Zelkuku, dying in your homeland is the last mercy I can show you."

Shane's eyes turned pitch-black. He swung his giant axe, forcing the Earth Golem into a steady retreat, its body covered in cracks.

Zelkuku's head, arms, and shoulders were hacked off again and again, but he continuously repaired himself.

His movements grew slower and slower. Eventually, only half his face remained, as his Mana was no longer sufficient to restore his entire body. The Earth Golem could barely even stand.

"It's over."

Shane grinned as his axe chopped down toward Zelkuku's face.

At that very moment, a white shadow flashed past him, and moonlight suddenly appeared in the broad daylight.

A line of blood appeared on Shane's neck, and black blood spurted out. He frantically clutched the wound on his throat, looking around in a daze.

'Who—who was it?'

'King Wuzi?'

'No, this isn't King Wuzi's fighting style.'

'King Wuzi's abilities are explosion and dissolution, not this kind of combat. Besides, He has little Divinity left and would never waste it on me. He'd be saving it for Lord Bos God.'

'Strength and warmth are rapidly fading from my body.'

'The feeling of death is so clear.'

'Drain! Drain! For god's sake, drain!!!'

His mind screamed the command, but his limbs were already completely unresponsive.

With just a single strike, an unseen enemy had snuffed out his life.

Shane felt the absurdity and cruelty of fate.

'Who was it? Who…'

He struggled to keep his eyes open, trying to get a clear look at his assassin. But his vision had grown extremely blurry. He could only make out a white steed, its eyes burning with a faint Ghost Fire. The beast didn't even spare him a glance.

'Huh?'

'Was I just bitten to death by a horse?'

'No, that was no horse.'

'It only looked like one.'

'What just happened? Where did this terrifying monster come from?'

In his final moments, a thought surfaced in Shane's mind.

'A bizarre cataclysm has descended upon this world. No one can escape. Everyone is going to die, not just me…'

With this comforting thought, Shane's consciousness faded completely, and his tall body collapsed backward, his giant axe falling with him.

The Earth Golem, having survived the ordeal, wore a look of utter astonishment on its remaining half-face.

Shane possessed the Bloodsucking Giant Axe, which allowed him to constantly draw vitality from his enemies' wounds to replenish himself. This made him extremely proficient in frontal meat-grinder battles, where he would only grow stronger as the fight wore on.

Zelkuku was completely countered by his Traits.

Yet, this seemingly invincible Apostle, so powerful as to be without weakness, was killed in a single strike by a sudden stranger, his Fire of Faith extinguished on the spot.

The newcomer glanced at him coldly.

But the Earth Golem felt a piercing sensation. A primitive, physical Fear made it nervously lower its head, as if being stared down by a high-level predator.

In his peripheral vision, he saw that the newcomer was a human female.

She wore a horned White Bone Helmet, and a red cape shrouded her slender, bandage-wrapped body. In both appearance and aura, she seemed less like a fierce warrior and more like a King inspecting the front lines.

And the White Bone Sword in her hand, like a work of Art, had just moments ago effortlessly slain a High-Level Apostle.

Shane's body was still warm.

"Who... who are you?"

Zelkuku asked cautiously.

The Female Swordsman said nothing. She picked up the giant axe from the ground, and in the blink of an eye, the weapon vanished without a trace.

Suddenly, another figure descended from the air.

The newcomer said, "The perimeter is secure. No other Apostles detected."

The Female Swordsman didn't respond to her ally, instead hacking Shane's corpse to pieces with a few strikes of her sword.

The new arrival was a young Black Robed Witch. She wore a Magic Hat and held a Magic Staff, but her eyes were bound with a black cloth, suggesting an injury.

"Zelkuku, you'd best use this time to heal."

She had spoken his name.

The Earth Golem was inwardly shocked.

This newcomer exuded the oppressive aura of a High Tier being. Though it wasn't as sharp or piercing as the Female Swordsman's, it was still far superior to his own.

'How could experts of this Tier exist within the Kingdom's borders? How do I know nothing about them?'

'They're definitely not the Lord God's Apostles.'

'I'm the only Apostle of the Wuzi Kingdom left.'

Zelkuku asked warily, "Who are you? What are you doing here?"

"My name is Isabel."

The Witch's voice was gentle. "We have come at the command of our God. As Bos God is invading this world, we came to assess the situation and ask if you need help."

Zelkuku thought to himself.

'They're probably not with Bos God, or they wouldn't have killed Apostle Shane on sight. Any Apostle is an important arm for a God.'

'But their identities are mysterious, their strength is terrifying, and their purpose is hard to discern.'

Thinking was not Zelkuku's strong suit.

He decided to take them to see his God.

With the Lord God's Wisdom, He could surely determine their true intentions.

If they had malicious intent, the God's Divine Power would be enough to cow them.

"Please, follow me."

The Earth Golem twisted and turned, diving into an underground passage. He piloted an Earth Traveling Boat through a complex network of caves, and after a roundabout journey, brought his visitors to a safe area dotted with mountains.

"Please wait a moment."

The two visitors from the Otherworld waited quietly.

The Earth Golem's body stiffened. A white light emanated from its eyes, and its entire being took on a solemn air, completely different from before.

"Esteemed guests, I am the God of this world. You may call me King Wuzi."

King Wuzi was communicating with them through his Apostle's body.

...

Overlooking all of this, Luh Yao held a warm glass cup in his hands, sipping on a honey pomelo tea prepared by Xiaohuo.

The whole process went more smoothly than he had imagined.

Because the world was anchored, the portal opened by the Golden Field didn't cause any cross-world weakening. Both Isabel and Selena entered the Wuzi Kingdom in peak condition.

Selena was immediately equipped with the [Ghost White Horse], maxing out her mobility and burst damage.

Under the buff of Isabel's [Forest Sword], the Female Tyrant launched a thunderous assault on the LV 36 Apostle Shane.

Relying on the horse's innate [High-Level Disguise], the first of Selena's four Moonlight Blade attacks dealt double damage, instantly creating a 2.5x attack. The burst damage shot straight to 767 points, triggering Execution Declaration and instantly killing Shane.

He checked the new Artifact he had just obtained.

...

[Bloodsucking Giant Axe LV 4]: Damage +4, Defense -1. When used as the sole weapon, [Desperate Battle] can be activated.

...

[Desperate Battle]: When the user's Life Value is below half, each attack can drain a certain amount of the opponent's Life Value. The lower the user's Life Value, the stronger the life-draining effect.

...

Luh Yao's eyes lit up.

Shane himself might not have been much, but this piece of equipment was a minor godsend for drawn-out battles.

Selena used a sword, making it unsuitable for her, but the Bloodsucking Axe was a perfect match for a Blood Knight.

It made sense for a Blood Knight to have a life-draining ability.
