Abyss Tree Evolution: A Mission to Conquer the World

Chapter 175: The Status of the City of Light

"But why are you asking these questions, My Liege?"

"Why don’t you go over our conversation in your mind again, starting from when you first suggested the invasion?" Vaelor smiled and did not answer immediately. From the side, Orion raised his eyebrow for a moment, but he soon realized what Vaelor meant and shook his head mockingly in pity!

Ayat furrowed her brows and went over the conversation from the beginning of her suggestion to invade several times. She was almost fed up with thinking when a sudden realization struck her. Her eyes widened, and she looked toward Vaelor!

"Do you mean, Your Majesty, that we don’t have the ability to invade on our own?!" Ayat asked doubtfully and did not want to believe this, but all the facts pointed toward it!

"And what else?" Vaelor smiled and did not answer immediately.

"We have less than a million of us left, and we give birth to one child every decade per family. Each family usually has two children before the woman’s fertility ends completely. At this rate, our numbers will never be enough for an invasion. No matter how strong we are, we will inevitably lose members of our people, and every individual we lose will reduce our already small numbers even further." Ayat’s eyes widened further with every word she said, and she finally muttered in horror, "We might even go extinct before we realize it!"

"Excellent!" Vaelor nodded with a smile. "And add to that the fact that there is no longer a tribulation for anyone who wants to reach Level Four, and don’t expect us to be the only ones who know this." Vaelor spoke mockingly and continued....

"How many kingdoms are there on this continent? Hundreds.

How many people will reach Level Four once they learn that the breakthrough has become accessible to everyone? Tens of thousands? Hundreds of thousands? Or perhaps even millions? There may even be people breaking through already while we are talking right now!

What about the rest of the Elf kingdoms? Do you think they will submit to us simply because we ask them to?

Now that the limitations on the Elves have been completely removed after the laws were erased from this continent, the Elf kingdoms have become like volcanoes waiting to erupt at any moment.

We are strong, yes, but there are others who are strong too!

I will survive, and perhaps you and some of those who possess Legendary bloodlines or higher will survive, but what about those who possess Basic bloodlines and Ordinary bloodlines, who make up most of our population?!"

Ayat’s eyes trembled even more upon hearing Vaelor’s words, then she saw him raise his finger upward....

"How can you guarantee that there won’t be any unforeseen variable or unexpected catastrophe like that Titan, Anar?!" Vaelor’s expression then turned serious....

"On top of all this, now that the Dragon Wall surrounding the continent has been removed, everything beyond this continent can invade us!

Don’t forget that the ancestors of the four ancient races left this continent a hundred thousand years ago. How can you guarantee that their descendants won’t want to reclaim it again?!

And besides all that, don’t forget the greatest danger!"

"The greatest danger! What is it?" Orion raised his eyebrow and asked in confusion.

"As a monster, I can sense this more than anyone else. The change that just occurred in the continent will not pass without consequences. The monsters across this continent have now become like time bombs that could explode at any moment! Don’t forget that monsters occupy nearly ninety percent of this continent’s total area, and their path of power growth is the easiest among all the paths. The number of monsters that will reach Level Four during these days will be estimated in the millions, and this number will continue increasing with every passing day! And the number of enraged monster waves that will hit the kingdoms every month will be estimated in the thousands. For us to launch an invasion right now would be an invitation to extinction!"

"But are we going to keep sitting like this after we take revenge on the five kingdoms? There are many Elf kingdoms that hate us and will certainly try to invade us. There are also several other kingdoms with which our relationship isn’t good. What are we going to do about all of them?" Ayat asked in confusion, still believing that eliminating a threat before it became a threat was the best solution.

"Why all this overthinking when you can subjugate and annex the rest of the Elf kingdoms and the other kingdoms using force, rewards, gifts, or anything else you deem appropriate? This way, you will solve the problem of numbers if you want to completely control this continent!" Orion made his suggestion from the side. He saw this as the most rational proposal, but to his surprise, he found Ayat looking at him with sharp eyes as if threatening him. On top of that, Vaelor was looking at him with the same expression!

"What is it?!" Orion asked in confusion and felt somewhat worried.

"The City of Light will remain the City of Light, and the people of the City of Light will remain the people of the City of Light. No one will share their glory or their city. They will be the ones who earn the honor of subjugating this continent and become the first sword I wield. Everyone will certainly join my kingdom or die if they refuse, but no one will have the honor of joining the City of Light!" Vaelor said in a sharp voice, making his position clear.

The people of the City of Light had accepted him from the very beginning and made him their king. They had rejoiced with him and suffered with him. They had followed his will and commands before anyone else did, and they had suffered like no other city on this continent.

For the sake of those sufferings and the kingship they had given him, Vaelor had sworn to grant them the honor of subjugating this continent, which no race had managed to unite in either the ancient era or the current era, and to make them the pinnacle of his kingdom and kings among his people, without allowing their blood to mix with the blood of any other people for the sake of benefit or circumstances.

"But if you don’t do this, how will you unite the continent with such a small number?" Orion asked in genuine confusion. He did not understand why Vaelor was being so prejudiced and believed that the greater good should come before fanaticism and bias.

"Don’t worry about this. I already have a plan!" Vaelor waved his hand with a cunning smile on his face, then looked toward Ayat....

"Now go and summon the best thousand Elves we have, give them the Formation Pearls, and tell them to break through to Level Four as soon as possible. Tell them that I want the armies to be fully prepared within three days." He then pointed toward the data card....

"And give this card to the High Council of Industry and Production, and tell them to manufacture as many Formation Pearls as possible as soon as possible. Assign several teams from among those you deem suitable and have them gather as many materials required to manufacture the Formation Pearls as possible from the nearby forests and mountains!"
