ENERGI: THE PRIMORDIAL CONDUIT[OP MC, APOCALYPSE, SURVIVAL, AND LITRPG]

CHAPTER 136: HIGHER RACES I

Since the apocalypse descended, Kael and the others had noticed the disappearance of other animals in general. Which was why Natalie's class was so handicapped.

Only during night events would these creatures be randomly summoned by the system.

The reason for that was because if the truly powerful animals had been allowed to grow with them, the humans and zombies alike wouldn't have stood a chance, and would have been annihilated swiftly.

This was the reason why the zombie anomaly in the academy was regarded so highly by the mysterious beings that had descended into the Blue Planet.

As by-products of human awakening, the zombies were meant to also be unranked beings, and should normally have no business climbing the race grades, unless they were able to break through their natural constraint, which was very, very difficult. So difficult, in fact, that the system offers to make a worldwide announcement whenever such an achievement occurred.

Yet, the zombie anomaly had been able to break past this natural law, which made it all the more terrifying. Only its natural aura dissuaded other high-class undead from entering into its territory, thus allowing Kael and the other survivors to live a few weeks of relative peace.

Kael had always wondered why the zombie anomaly had never directly acted, even during night events. The only time it had made a move was when he and his group had been placed in a macabre illusion. And even back then, he had noticed a few discrepancies.

The undead roaming the school had suddenly vanished, retreating back into the shadows of the academy. It was clear that before its appearance, there was something more at hand.

What Kael and the others did not know was that how could the system allow a higher race to directly interfere in its plans? Then there would be no point in transporting the truly powerful races.

Back to the animals, the advent of mana only widened the natural advantages these other species had over humans. Thus, they had been transported by the system to another space.

Only those who had not had enough time to rise up the racial ladder or were simply unable to, had been summoned by the system to fight against the weak humans and undead.

But the system was fair. While the humans and zombies had been given enough time to grow, the system had also granted these powerful creatures the opportunity to raise their strength. The only difference was that they had been thrown against true monsters...

Monsters of the deep ocean.

________

The surface of the Blue Planet was dominated by water, the land comprising only about 15%.

What did this mean for the advent of the apocalypse? It meant the truly powerful horrors were located deep in the waters, far away from the humans.

For now.

Within the embrace of these endless blue waters, several globes floated. Except they weren't globes at all.

Instead, each of these spheres contained a race of animals. It was just that these animals were far different from their previous selves.

In one of the globes, the land took the outlook of a massive jungle. The massive chunk of land, half the size of an island, was surrounded by a massive spherical barrier, which gave it the appearance of a globe.

In the jungle, signs of destruction and devastation littered the area. Yet this sight did nothing to reduce the majestic sight of the creatures inhabiting the land.

Lions and lionesses, the size of a two-story building rested in groups. Each of these creatures was majestic. Their eyes burned like the sun, and their golden fur had barely visible tattoos etched on them.

Yet among the group, one of them stood out.

Humanoid in figure, the creature stood only about 2 meters tall. Yet the aura around it subdued the others, making them bow their heads in submission. Compact muscles lined its body, and its golden mane flowed down its back, while intricate markings covered its broad shoulders and chest.

On one of its hands, the creature shuffled beads of various colors, its eyes fixed on the barrier, as if its vision could pierce far deep into the surrounding waters.

Its jaws parted, and a low yet deep roar filled the area.

It is time.

A spiritual message spread into the surroundings, and the other members rose one by one, their eyes fixed on their king.

Looking at each of its pride, the humanoid lion exuded a palpable aura of Pride, another spiritual fluctuation spreading out.

This is the last fight. Then we shall rule the world.

Its message had barely fallen when a blinding silver light filled the globe. Yet, while the other lions and lionesses shut their eyes due to the intense light, the humanoid lion easily pierced through it, its gaze falling on the new members that had appeared in the area.

Monkeys over six meters tall, with golden fur that matched the other party, stood on the other side. Each of these creatures released a shocking aura of power, and even the weakest among them was a level 91 First Order.

They held wooden clubs clearly shown to have been crudely ripped from trees. But that wasn't all.

The humanoid lion instantly sensed that each of the monkeys was of the D-grade. Yet, it didn't even take a moment for the creature to ignore the weaklings that had dared to appear before his sight, his eyes falling on one creature and one creature alone.

A humanoid-looking monkey was lost among the gigantic sizes of the other members. Barely 1.8m tall, the monkey sat on the top of a massively long staff resting slanted on the ground, and yet, defying the laws of physics, to remain in its position.

Intricate runes crossed the staff, and just from the aura it emanated, one could tell this was a godly item.

On the top end of the staff, the humanoid monkey sat with a bored look on its face, its head resting on a hand, supported by its right lap. Golden bands with intricate runes rested on it's wrists and ankles. The creature's long tail, which resembled that of a scorpion, swirled behind it in slow motion, and the creature's golden eyes, which also burned furiously like a golden sun, gazed back at the humanoid lion in boredom.

The mouth of the Lion King suddenly parted to the side to form a mad grin, its eyes burning brighter and brighter.

While all these sounded long to describe, the truth was that the silver light of teleportation was just winking out when a roar filled the globe, a spiritual fluctuation spreading out from the lion, who took one step forward.

This is interesting!

Yet, oblivious to both races that were about to clash together, hundreds of eyes suddenly flashed open deep in the ocean. All the eyes glowed with crimson light, an intelligent glint flashing within their depths.

The eyes faced left and right before they all instantly snapped in the direction of the globe kilometers above.

Several tentacles hundreds of meters long rose before a massive current of water was displaced, catapulting the titanic creature toward its destination.
