ENERGI: THE PRIMORDIAL CONDUIT[OP MC, APOCALYPSE, SURVIVAL, AND LITRPG]

CHAPTER 92: LAW OF THE JUNGLE

Logan's eyes hardened when he saw Claire and the others survive his attack. His gaze fell on the small shield floating before Claire, the object acting as an anchor for the massive image of the bulwark that covered an entire side of the room.

'Is that her soul artifact?'

He ignored the screams of the survivors behind the barrier, his eyes falling on the young teacher.

'Tch... I doubt I will be able to break through her defense. Level 26 or not, she is still an Elite Rank after all.'

Luckily, he wouldn't need to.

A grin flashed on his face when he saw a purple light flash into the room. He didn't hesitate and quickly lunged forward.

Principal Martin appeared before them, the anxiousness on his face visible for all to see.

He tried to survey the room, his gaze falling on Claire first.

"No!"

A confused look surfaced on his face when he saw the young teacher shout. That was until a shadow fell over him.

He tried to turn, his mind already gearing up to activate his skill once more. Alas, he wouldn't get the chance.

- WHAM!

The impact sent spittle flying out of his mouth. He felt as if his spine was on the verge of collapsing. Yet he had barely felt the pain when something hit him hard on the head.

'Just... what is going on...' That was the last thought he had before he lost consciousness.

Everything happened so fast no one could react.

"Are you out of your fucking mind?! Just what the hell are you doing?"

Claire screamed from behind the barrier, her usual gentle eyes red from anger. She didn't even realize when she cursed for the first time in a long while, but seeing the old man manhandled in such a way almost sent her spiraling.

"Hahaha!" Logan laughed as he caught Martin by the neck like he was holding a cat by the scruff, his large hand effortlessly wrapping around the old man's neck.

Logan didn't even bother to hide his leering gaze. He ignored Claire as she wasn't his type, his eyes moving past the young teacher to fall on a woman behind her. This was the only other female survivor in the room.

Despite being middle-aged, the way the skirt hugged her waist and ass, and how her chest seemed ready to burst free from her dirty shirt, almost made Logan hard right then and there.

The woman shivered under his gaze as she hugged herself, not daring to look any longer.

Logan shook his head and turned back toward Claire.

"You guys are yet to realize your situation. The world is no longer the same. Now more than ever, the law of the jungle rules supreme. The strong shall reign, and if the weak want to survive, they will have to crawl and scrape for what they need."

A flicker of disgust flashed through Claire's eyes. Weren't these the same words Daniel had said before forming his group?

"You have all lost your way!" she couldn't help but cry as she said this. Seeing the principal who gave his all to ensure their survival now repaid in such a manner broke her heart.

Logan didn't seem to care for her words as he spoke.

"Remove the barrier!"

"Never!" Claire practically growled the word out.

Logan frowned before raising the old man in his hand.

"If you don't, I will..." He didn't complete his words, but he didn't need to. The message was more than clear.

"No." Claire shook her head, droplets of tears flying from her movement. She knew this was what the old man would have wanted too. She could tell Logan and the others had planned this. And she didn't even want to imagine what would happen to them before those who went into their trials came back.

It was then she remembered they still had one person they could depend on.

'Kael... please, help us.'

"Hehehe... Mr. Daniel really is the best. To think he could see so far."

A look of confusion surfaced on Claire's face once more. She didn't know what the other meant by his words.

It was then it happened.

- BANG!

A bullet ripped into Claire's shoulder from behind, a hole blasting through her collarbone.

"ARRRRGH!"

A cry of pain tore from her mouth, her body falling to the ground as it spasmed violently.

"Ms. Claire!"

Many of the survivors behind her shouted in fear and surprise, but at the same time they quickly turned toward the one who had fired.

Logan didn't miss this opportunity and ripped through the barrier with all his strength.

"Tch... why didn't you kill her?"

His eyes fell on Claire, who was still grunting on the ground, before shifting to a young girl.

Two hazel eyes filled with weariness looked back at him.

"I can't."

Rachel's hands trembled as she clutched her gun.

"Tch."

Logan didn't speak on the matter again. After all, he was also supposed to kill the principal. But he couldn't bring himself to do it. Even as a bully, there was a line that killing a fellow human crossed, and his mind wasn't ready for that.

Many threw angry glares at Rachel, the feeling of betrayal palpable in the air. This girl had returned to their group two days ago, and Ms. Claire and the old man had practically welcomed her back with open arms. To think she would turn on them like this?

"You take care of them. I will be right back."

Logan suddenly spoke before rushing out of the room.

Rachel nodded once before raising her gun at the others.

"All of you, get down!"

If the others could betray her father, then she would do the same as long as she could survive.

---

Logan rushed into the corridor with the principal in hand.

Seeing Kael fall from the skies, he couldn't stop the grin from flashing on his face when he saw everything moving according to their plan.

"What the hell are you waiting for, Fire!"

He couldn't help but shout when he saw those idiots simply watching.

'Tch... they are already so pale just from using the guns for such a short time? Fucking weaklings!'

He really couldn't understand why the other faction was defending these useless baggages. Weren't they scared for their own lives? It was only a matter of time before they would have to cut them loose.

He was soon pulled out of his thoughts by the massive explosion rocking the area.

'So he really was that strong?'

In the last night event, Kael had not shown any great might. If anything, his little sister was the one who had carried the battle with her Ruinsteed summon. The only thing to look out for was that small chick of his.

But now he understood why Daniel and Ben didn't want to risk facing him directly.

He grinned.

Throwing the principal down like discarded trash, he suddenly jumped onto the railing before falling.

The four male survivors in the corridor screamed when they saw this, but he didn't pay them any heed.

He had barely fallen a foot when a hand made of earth sprang out from the wall behind him.

Just like that, he was carried to the ground.

"KAEL!"

He shouted, a rush of excitement filling his body.

He could remember the smug look he had always wanted to wipe away. The way Kael subtly raised his head as if looking down on him despite being the shorter one between them had always pissed him off.

He had always dreamed of crushing him, of putting him in his place.

Now, he had gotten his chance.

"THERE IS NO WAY YOU WOULD DIE FROM THAT, RIGHT, YOU FUCKING BASTARD?"

He walked forward, his eyes searching the cloud of dust still rising before him.

It was then it happened.

His eyes narrowed slightly as he saw a light flash within the plume of dust. When he made out what he saw, his grin couldn't help but widen once more.

"Now, that is what I am talking about!"

He had barely finished speaking when he broke into a sprint, a massive war hammer appearing in his hands.

"LOOK ALIVE! THERE ARE FRESH GIRLS FOR THE PICKING!"

His roar seemed to energize the survivors on the second floor, their eyes flashing with lustful lights. They quickly took out a mana potion and quickly chugged them down their throats.

Logan didn't spare their action, a glance, his eyes fixed ahead, and within the now-settling dust and debris, where two floating orbs of blue continued to lock onto him.
