Chapter 11: Demon Lord
She walked forward. Her footsteps echoed out, do that all could hear. She stepped out into the center of the area that had been cornered off from the rest of the city. The fires at the edges of section still burned bright, her sight was locked onto something different though.
There he was, with a group of maids. They were battle maids. Calvaria had explained the reason for them being here, at least the cover story, to the people here. Her followers, along with Evil Eye, walked into the open area and looked to them.
Yaldabaoth stood amongst them, slightly taller than Yuri Alpha, his arms were spread out in a welcoming gesture. It made Evil Eye’s skin crawl to look at him. Since he was the one to slay her friends before.
There were four others, other than the demon lord and the undead maid. There seemed to be a girl with an expressionless face. A girl with a strange looking ranged weapon. Then there was a rather curvy woman who she couldn’t tell the race of. Finally, there was a maid who looked like she was bathed in chocolate.
Calvaria simply stood there, in front of them all. One blade and the other swept to her sides, she stood there imposingly. Evil Eye couldn’t help but feel her heart flutter as she looked at her.
Anna, the warrior of the group, looked at the little vampire and frowned. She was still after her beloved, yet she had yet to do anything yet. It was annoying, but she would only have to deal with it for a bit longer.
Nabe was simply happy to be here. After all, she felt privileged to simply be in her lady’s presence. Calvaria, meanwhile, was panicking in her mind.
‘What do I do?’ she asked herself, having forgotten the lines that she had practiced in the mirror.
“Greetings, knight of the Goddess of Death, it seems that you have chosen to meet your patron this day,” he said, and bowed.
She bowed her head and spoke. Her voice was deep, and slightly shaky. Yet, no one seemed to have noticed it. She patted herself on the back in her mind for that one.
“Retreat to your duty, foul traitor!” she called out.
Calvaria simply charged forth. Her feet took her to Yaldabaoth’s spot in a second. She brought her swords to the front in a twin stabbing motion. It was scary for the battle maids, at least slightly. To see their true leader so hyped up sent potent shivers through their minds.
He blocked the blows, and let himself be blown back after she slashed witrh her sole longsword. The two of them deeper into the town itself. This hid their fight from view. Yet the sounds of battle reached their ears all the same.
Evil Eye steadied herself for battle. She was fairly confident in the woman who she had started to crush on would win. Yet, she was fairly certain that she couldn’t win against these women.
There had barely been any words passed between them, the maids, that was. While she didn’t know why this was, she did guess that this was because of their synergy. Little did she know that dialogue simply tired out the Author’s already tired mind.
...
“I believe you already know my name, yet I must introduce myself once again,” Yuri introduced herself, her tone professional, “I am Yuri, these are my sisters the Battle Maids. I was told that I was to fight you once again. If you would be so kind as to follow my sisters Beta, Epsilon, Delta, and Eta.”
As she said this, three of the maids split off from the main group. The one with tan skin and red hair, the one with the curviest body that one had ever seen, the one with an expressionless mask-like face, and the one with the strange weapon walked to the side of the battlefield. Evil Eye looked on at her companions as they followed.
Now, it was just her and the undead maid. She looked good. Good as new some would say. That meant that she was probably all healed from their last battle. Not that she would, or had any right to complain. After all, she herself was all healed up.
She looked on at the maid. Her brow was now risen. She was intrigued as to why she would want to face off against her in a one versus one. In fact, she asked that very question.
“May I ask, why do you want to fight me in a 1v1? I won’t hold back like in our last fight,” she asked, her tone flat.
Yuri tilted her head in response, and placed a finger on her chin. She was rather intrigued by this line of questioning. Surely the girl could guess the story here, right?
“I was sent here to fight you one on one. I failed the last time, so now Yaldabaoth wishes for me to prove myself in battle. I will indulge him in this. He hasn’t had us for long, so he wouldn’t know how to plan with us correctly,” she said with fake exasperation.
“So,” Evil Eye started, “shall we continue from where we left off?” she asked, activating her crystal shield spell.
The other woman simply struck a fighting posture. Her hands were facing her, palms out. Evil Eye fired off a crystal buckshot at her foe. The woman simply let it pelt her, and ran at her full force.
Evil Eye cast the fly spell upon herself. As the maid came upon her, and punched the shell she was enshrouded in. Evil Eye flew a backward, her shell bouncing slightly on the ground.
She zoomed away, firing another round of magic at her foe. Yuri decided to dodge it this time. Her reason wasn’t known of course, she simply wanted to dodge. The fight continued on like this, watched by the rest of the fighters.
Well, they weren’t even fighting. In fact, they were having a rather pleasant conversation. Anna was sitting with crossed legs, as she drank tea prepped by the battle maids, including Nabe.
The others, like her, were sat or stood behind a rather large chunk of wall. She decided to start a conversation to pass the time as the two others fought. It was a simple question.
“So,” she prodded, “how do you all think another woman can get another lady pregnant?” she asked, her question not simple or normal at all in the slightest.
