As the White Spider-Man in Earth-76 with the Spider-Man System

Chapter 38: Continuing Training to Complete the Spiderman System’s Daily Mission

Without rushing, I walked toward the exit, my steps feeling light, as if my body naturally adjusted to the calm, unhurried atmosphere of the morning.

May followed behind me, her steps steady and unhurried, keeping a comfortable distance. There was no further conversation between us, yet the silence didn’t feel awkward—instead, it was comfortable, like a silence that was already understood without needing to be explained.

As I opened the door, the fresh morning air immediately greeted me, carrying a light coolness along with the clean scent of the surroundings, mixed with a faint hint of damp soil and dew-covered leaves.

The light from outside felt slightly brighter, making my eyes adjust for a moment. My eyelids blinked slowly before eventually getting used to the difference in brightness.

I stepped out of May’s house, while she stopped right at the doorway, not going any further, as if maintaining a boundary that didn’t need to be crossed.

She simply stood there, watching me with the same expression as before—calm and warm, without any noticeable change.

Without saying anything, I began walking toward my house, which was located right next to May’s, my steps remaining steady and relaxed.

The distance was very close—only a few steps—yet for some reason, it felt like moving from one atmosphere to another, from the warmth of companionship into a quieter kind of solitude.

From behind, I could still feel May’s gaze on me, faint yet clear enough to be noticed.

It wasn’t pressing or intrusive, but its presence was unmistakable, like a form of care that didn’t need to be expressed in words.

When I arrived right in front of my door, I paused for a moment, my hand hanging briefly in the air before moving.

Then I turned around, raised my right hand, and gave a casual wave toward May. The gesture was simple, yet carried the meaning of a brief farewell.

May immediately returned the wave, her smile still clearly visible, unchanged from before. Her movement was simple, yet it felt sincere and consistent.

After that, I opened my door and stepped inside. The sound of the door opening was soft before it closed again behind me.

The moment it shut, the atmosphere shifted instantly, as if an invisible line separated two different worlds.

There were no more voices, no more warmth from another person—only silence, calm, but this time it felt deeper.

The sound of my footsteps became clearer inside the room, their faint echoes bouncing off the walls, emphasizing that I was truly alone now.

I walked toward the living room without hesitation, my thoughts already returning to what I needed to do, with no more distractions from outside.

There was still training that needed to be completed, something that couldn’t be delayed any longer.

The mission from the Spiderman System wasn’t over yet, and time kept moving forward without giving me the chance to relax for too long.

What I had done earlier was only a small part, just the beginning of something bigger waiting ahead.

My body might have already started to feel tired, my muscles slightly heavy, but that wasn’t a reason to stop or loosen my resolve.

The reward from this mission was far too valuable to ignore, something that could change many things in the long run.

An increase in physical stats wasn’t just meaningless numbers—it was an improvement in strength, speed, and endurance that could determine the outcome in dangerous situations, especially in a world that was never truly safe.

I took a slow breath, trying to feel the condition of my body right now, paying attention to every small sensation that appeared.

In this Marvel world, everything could change in an instant, without any clear warning.

Threats can come at any time, from unexpected directions, even in the calmest moments.

Because of that, becoming stronger is no longer a choice.

It is a necessity, something that cannot be avoided if one wants to keep surviving.

I spent the entire day completing the missions from the daily tasks given by the System.

There were no long breaks, no excuses to be lazy—everything I did with a level of focus that almost felt obsessive, as if every second wasted was a loss that could not be tolerated.

The training I went through was not something that could be considered light—one thousand push-ups, one thousand sit-ups, and one thousand squat jumps, all done in the living room of my not-so-spacious house, with some furniture pushed aside just to make room to move.

The floor felt cold at first, a chill that made my body shiver slightly, but as time passed, the heat building within my body gradually erased that sensation, replacing it with warmth spreading from the inside.

Each movement felt heavier, every count seemed slower, my muscles began to tremble under the strain, yet I forced myself not to stop midway, even when my body had already started to protest.

Sweat poured endlessly, dripping from my forehead, running down past my cheeks, until it soaked my clothes, making them cling uncomfortably to my skin.

My breathing became ragged again and again, uneven, my chest rising and falling rapidly. Several times, I had to grit my teeth, enduring the burning pain in my muscles just to complete one more set that felt like an endless burden.

Even so, I continued, forcing my body beyond its limits, pushing little by little further than before, until every single target from the Spiderman System mission was completely finished, without anything left, not a single one missed.

When I finally stopped, my body felt incredibly heavy, as if every muscle refused to move anymore. Even standing up felt like a tremendous effort.

Yet behind that exhaustion, there was a satisfaction that was difficult to explain—a warm feeling rising from within, a sign that all this effort was not in vain, that there was progress, no matter how small.

I slowly lifted my head, then glanced at the wall clock. The hands had already passed eleven in the morning. Time had moved so quickly without me realizing it, as if it had slipped away between counts and sweat.

Without wasting time, I immediately got up, slightly unsteady and needing a moment to regain my balance, then walked toward the bathroom to clean myself.

The cold water washing over my body brought a refreshing sensation that seeped deep within, making me let out a long breath the moment it touched my skin.

Gradually, the accumulated fatigue began to fade, my previously tense muscles felt more relaxed, and my mind, which had been clouded by exhaustion, became clearer and calmer.

I let the water run longer than usual, standing still under the shower, as if wanting to make sure all the weariness, stickiness, and remaining fatigue were completely washed away without a trace.

After finishing my shower, I quickly put on clean clothes. The dry, soft fabric felt far more comfortable against my skin compared to the previous clothes that had been soaked with sweat and felt heavy.

I then left the room and returned to the living area. My steps were lighter now, although a faint trace of fatigue still lingered in my body.

My eyes instinctively glanced at the wall clock once more, confirming the time that kept moving forward without waiting for anyone.

That was when I remembered—earlier this morning, I had already had breakfast at May’s house. The brief memory surfaced just like that, which meant now it was time to look for lunch before hunger truly came attacking.
