Chapter 32: Cleaning Up Killgrave’s Body Before Going Home
In one smooth motion, I fired a web toward another building. The web tightened instantly, pulling my body forward as I began to swing through the air. My movements were fast and steady, following a rhythm I was already used to, leaving that building behind in a matter of seconds.

After swinging for quite a while across the city buildings, passing the flickering lights below, I finally spotted a truck moving toward Queens.
I adjusted my direction and landed lightly on top of the truck. The surface vibrated slightly beneath my feet. I used that moment to take a short rest, while still staying alert to my surroundings.
Once I arrived in Queens, I jumped off again and continued traveling by swinging. My movements remained fast and efficient, shifting from one point to another until I finally arrived not far from my home in the Forest Hills area.
I landed in a fairly dark spot, making sure no one was watching. My eyes quickly scanned the surroundings. Without wasting time, I immediately searched for a quiet alley with no surveillance cameras. After finding one, I stepped inside carefully.
Inside the alley, I quickly changed my clothes. The Spider-Man suit shifted at my command, changing from white into a black hoodie sweater, Levi’s jeans, and simple sandals. In an instant, my appearance became ordinary and unremarkable.
But before going home, I stopped by a few stores to buy what I needed. I moved like a normal person, not drawing any attention. After gathering everything, I headed to a quiet place far from the crowds.
When I got there, I paused for a moment and observed my surroundings carefully. After making sure no one was nearby, I searched for a sufficiently concealed spot.
Without hesitation, I took out Killgrave’s body from the Spider-Man System storage feature. The body appeared in front of me, Killgrave’s face looking pale under the dim light.
I immediately began dissolving the body using the chemicals I had just bought. My movements were quick but precise, pouring the liquid carefully. The reaction started, accompanied by a sharp, pungent smell that slowly filled the air.
I stayed focused, ignoring the discomfort. Little by little, the body began to disappear, dissolving without leaving any clear form behind.
After everything was done, I quickly cleaned up the area. Every trace and possible evidence was carefully removed. Once I was sure everything was clean, I stood there for a moment, making sure nothing was left behind.
Without looking back, I finally walked away from the place, then headed home with calm steps, as if nothing had happened tonight.

When I arrived home, I went straight to the bathroom without wasting a second.
My steps felt slightly faster than usual, even sounding heavier and more rushed against the floor, as if there was an invisible urge pushing me to clean myself immediately and get away from everything that had just happened.
As soon as the bathroom door closed, I turned on the water without hesitation. When the cold water touched my skin, my body reflexively tensed slightly.
The cold sensation slowly spread from my head down to my feet, washing away the sweat and dust clinging to me. The water kept flowing endlessly, carrying away the sticky discomfort, little by little bringing a simple yet real sense of relief.
However, the exhaustion I felt today clearly did not come only from my body. There was something heavier, deeper, like pressure building up inside my head.
My mind felt full, suffocating, as if it was being forced to keep working without ever being given a chance to truly stop. This kind of mental exhaustion would not disappear just by showering, no matter how long I stood still under the running water.
Today was truly chaotic… or maybe just overwhelmingly full.
Too many things happened in far too short a time. Too many surprises came one after another, without pause, without giving me even a moment to fully process one thing before something else appeared again.
Either way, I had just met Killgrave, or better known as the Purple Man. Even just recalling him was enough to make my expression harden slightly. That man was far more disgusting than I had imagined before, surpassing every worst impression I had formed in my head.
It wasn’t just because of his irritating, arrogant attitude, but also because of the aura he emitted. That aura… was strange. Invisible, yet clearly perceptible. Oppressive, slow but certain, like something crawling beneath the skin and making the entire body feel uneasy.
The air around Killgrave felt heavier, as if every breath required more effort. Even without doing anything, his mere presence was enough to make me want to stay as far away as possible.
Or… punch that bastard’s face until it was completely battered.
I let out a slow breath, allowing the water to continue flowing over my face.
There was something wrong with Killgrave. Something that couldn’t be explained by normal logic. Something that made my instincts keep screaming that he was dangerous, even if he was just standing still without saying anything.
However, Killgrave wasn’t the only one who appeared today.
Jessica Jones showed up as well.
And that was exactly what made my mind even more unsettled.
Jessica Jones… Luke Cage’s lover.
The thought surfaced just like that, followed by various possibilities that began to emerge, ones I couldn’t stop.
Wait… if that’s the case… will their relationship in this world remain the same as it was in the comics?
Or has everything already changed from the very beginning, without me realizing it?
I fell silent, letting the water continue to run over my head.
“Hm… an interesting question,” I murmured softly.
I leaned my back against the cold bathroom wall, feeling the chill seep into my skin, contrasting with the water that continued to flow. The sensation helped calm my thoughts, if only for a moment.
My eyes slowly closed.
My mind began digging through old memories, trying to piece together fragments of information I had once only skimmed through without truly caring. Now, every small detail felt far more important.
Thinking about it again… who exactly had been close to Jessica?
Luke Cage, obviously.
That was the most iconic one. Their relationship wasn’t just well-known, it had almost become a part of their identities. It was hard to imagine Jessica without associating her with Luke.
But… that wasn’t the only one.
Scott Lang. Ant-Man.
I frowned slightly, trying to confirm that memory. Their relationship wasn’t very prominent, and was rarely discussed. Still, there was a connection there. Something not major, but enough to be taken into account.
And… Peter Parker.
I opened my eyes slightly, staring blankly at the wall.
This part felt more vague.
They had never truly become a couple. There was no official relationship, no major moment that truly bound them together.
But… I was quite sure.
Jessica liked Peter back when they were still in high school.
That feeling wasn’t something grand or dramatic on the surface. It was more like something that grew quietly, hidden behind ordinary conversations, behind interactions that seemed normal.
Yet precisely because of that, it felt more real.
More human.
And most importantly… it lasted long enough.
That feeling didn’t just disappear. It didn’t fade away with time. Instead, it remained, hidden, waiting for the right moment—or perhaps the wrong one.
Until, in the end, Jessica confessed it.
When they had already become part of the New Avengers.
