Chapter 112
Yaeko's hand, which had been stiff for a moment, slowly began to move. She did not resist, nor did she hold back, as if she were simply following the flow of what was happening without truly opposing it.
Her fingers touched my shoulder hesitantly at first, the contact light, almost imperceptible. Then, little by little, it grew firmer, as if searching for something to hold onto, something that could give her stability in the midst of this unexpected situation.
Her movements felt careful, yet not entirely uncertain—like someone still trying to understand her own feelings while continuing to move forward without truly stepping back.
Time seemed to slow, each second stretching longer than usual, as if every moment was being drawn out endlessly.
The world around us seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of us in that small space, filled with breaths that overlapped—warm and uneven.
There were no other sounds, no disturbances from outside—only the increasingly clear heartbeat and the growing heaviness of our breathing, creating an atmosphere that felt more enclosed and intense.
Several minutes passed unnoticed until I finally ended the kiss, pulling away slowly even though the urge to stay still lingered.
My breathing was heavy, my chest rising and falling unevenly, as if my body needed time to readjust.
Yaeko was the same. Her breath came in soft pants, clearly audible at such close distance. She tried to calm herself, still carried by the lingering atmosphere that had yet to fully fade, her chest moving up and down in a chaotic rhythm.
Her face was now flushed, a warm hue spreading from her cheeks down to her neck, giving her a far more vivid color compared to her usual calm expression.
Where she had once appeared composed, even somewhat cold, she now showed a far more open expression, as if the walls she had maintained were beginning to crumble, little by little.
"Haah… haah…" Yaeko's breathing came in broken intervals, her voice soft yet clear. Her gaze was fixed on me, slightly unfocused as if still affected by what had just happened, yet there was no hatred—no anger—only something gentle, warm, and difficult to put into words.
That gaze felt honest, without the usual layers that conceal a person's feelings, and for a moment, it made me lose my sense of direction in trying to understand what was truly happening.
Seeing that expression, for some reason, a playful impulse arose within me—something light, yet strong enough to push me into acting without much thought.
I lowered my head slightly, bringing my face closer to Yaeko's ear, feeling the warmth of her still-unsteady breath brush against my skin.
"Be my woman… Yaeko Nishimiya," I whispered softly, my tone low, more like a joke or a small response to her earlier boldness, as if trying to restore balance to the situation in a simple way.
But Yaeko's answer came without pause, without even the slightest hesitation. "Alright."
I froze instantly. The answer came too quickly, too firmly to be taken as a joke, leaving me momentarily at a loss for words.
Her voice was soft, gentle, even slightly teasing, yet there was no hesitation in it, no sign that it was merely a light response.
It wasn't a joke. It was a genuine answer. And that was exactly what made the situation feel far more complicated than it should have been.
For a few seconds, my mind went completely blank, as if all thought processes had suddenly stopped. I had only intended to respond to Yaeko—maybe tease her a little, especially after seeing her earlier reaction that seemed so different—more lively, more open, even a little endearing.
But the result was beyond expectations. The situation suddenly turned into something far more serious than I had anticipated, crossing a line I had thought I could still control.
Was this really serious? Or was Yaeko simply responding to me in the same way? Strange thoughts began to emerge in my mind, colliding with one another without any clear direction.
I even found myself wondering whether this world followed a different kind of logic—where helping someone could make them open their heart so easily, as if feelings could grow that quickly without any long process.
"I-I mean—" I tried to straighten things out, trying to pull the situation back from slipping out of control, searching for the right words to explain that everything might be happening too fast.
But my words stopped halfway, not even properly formed. Yaeko moved again, without hesitation, without giving me even the slightest chance to finish my sentence.
Yaeko leaned closer. Her lips touched mine again, this time softer, slower, yet it felt deeper and calmer, as if she truly understood what she was doing.
Yaeko's hand slowly rose, wrapping around my neck, pulling me a little closer, keeping me from pulling away, making sure the distance between us completely disappeared.
I wasn't given any chance to explain anything at all.
"I will serve you well, Sir…" Yaeko's voice was soft, almost like a gentle and careful whisper, yet still clear enough to reach my ears.
Her tone was kept low, as if deliberately restrained so it wouldn't break the intimate and personal atmosphere that had already formed. "However… for now, I cannot give you everything."
"I am still carrying my second child," Yaeko continued without looking away from me. Her gaze appeared calm on the surface, but there was a faint depth of emotion hidden within, something that couldn't be explained with simple words.
Her eyes did not waver, as if she wanted to make sure I understood the seriousness of her words. "After I give birth… I will make sure to repay everything properly, without leaving anything behind."
"But… simple things like this, I can still do," Yaeko added softly, her voice now slightly warmer, as if trying to ease the faint tension that had briefly appeared between us.
Her tone softened, giving the impression that she didn't want things to become awkward. "If you wish… you can call for me anytime. I will come."
"I'm not sure whether this is just gratitude… or something else," Yaeko continued again, this time with a subtle change in her tone, leaving behind a faint hint of uncertainty between each word.
A small pause appeared in parts of her sentence, as if she herself was trying to understand her feelings. "But… I feel comfortable being near you, more than I should."
Yaeko paused for a moment. Her breathing sounded softer, its rhythm slightly changed, before a faint smile appeared on her lips. The smile was simple, not excessive, yet it felt more sincere and honest, without the slightest trace of pretense. "And… maybe I'm starting to like you."
"From now on… please take care of me." Yaeko moved closer once again, the distance between us almost completely gone—I could even feel the warmth of her body from the nearly nonexistent space between us.
Without excessive hesitation, Yaeko gave a brief kiss on my lips—lighter than before, almost like a careful touch, yet leaving a far deeper and harder-to-ignore impression. The touch was brief, but enough to make my heart beat irregularly. "Dear."
I froze instantly. My body felt stiff, as if every nerve inside me had stopped responding for a few seconds.
My mind went blank, as if losing direction, unable to immediately process what had just happened. The sensation of that touch still lingered, faint yet clear, making it even harder for me to think straight.
Meanwhile, Yaeko had already gotten up from the bed with calm and natural movements, without the slightest sign of nervousness. Her actions flowed as if what had just happened was nothing more than a small matter not worth thinking too deeply about.
