It has been a week since I and redhead came to the Capital of Galvaland, Crystal City with the invitation from Priestess-Princess Armina Archilles Galvaland. According to the Princess, as she is the one who had summoned the Hero, it was her duty to oversee our deeds and growth as heroes. We had stayed in the palace and received all VIP access and treatment.

However, we were not going to get stronger by staying inside the castle, so the princess had given us a tour to the most prestigious Knight School of Galvaland. At first redhead and I wanted to become members of the Hunters, but…

“A great Hero such as you two should not associate yourselves with lowly Hunters.” The Great King of Galvaland had clearly pointed that we are of higher ranking status and should associate with the same league. “Armina, give these two great heroes a tour to the School of Knights –Galahad.”

“As you wish my king...” Armina then politely curtsied and ushered us out to the audience room.

The Knight School, Galahad was a carriage ride about 2 hour and 45 minutes away from the castle and it had a magnificent structure that would not lose to the castle’s design. According to Princess Armina, the Knights School Galahad was created 10 centuries ago by the first Hero and had been training knights since.

The school is completely meritocratic in both achievements and STATS. A century ago, women were not allowed to be knighted but that soon changed when many prominent women started rising to power, right now women can be knighted as long as they stand above the meritocracy of Galahad School of Knights.

While in school, we can gain battle experience by becoming Knight Apprentice. But, this prestigious Knight School is one of the schools which have a low passing rate as the system and policies here are supposedly strict. However, once you pass and graduate you are then knighted by the king and given the right to create your own Knights Orden and form a Squad of your own.

In respect to ones abilities, Knights are ranked as such: there is a regular Knight, then a Master Knight and above them is the Grand Knight. Only a Grand Knight is able to create a Knights Orden, which composes mainly of Knights or Master Knights, while the Knights and Master Knights can only have regular soldiers as subordinates.

During wars whether it is against another kingdom or the Demonic Armies, Knights are ranked according to how many soldiers they command:

• Knight Squad Leader : commands 10 soldiers, known as 1 Squad
• Knight Lieutenant : commands 2-3 Squads, known as 1 Platoon
• Knight Captain : Commands 4 to 5 Platoon, known as 1 Company
• Knight Major : commands 5-10 Companies, known as 1 Battalion
• Knight Commander : commands 5-8 Battalions, known as 1 Brigade
• Knight General : commands 5-6 brigades known as Legion

As a Knight one must convey the Seven Knightly Virtues showed by all true knights throughout RESMERE:

• A knight must always show Courage in all adversity
• A Knight must always promote Justice
• A Knight must always show Mercy
• A knight must always show Generosity
• A Knight must show his Faith
• A knight must be always show Nobility
• A Knight must always never give up Hopeand give Hope to others

As a Knight one must adhere to the 10 Precepts of Knighthood

1. Thou shalt believe all that the Church teaches, and shalt observe all its directions.
2. Thou shalt defend the Church and the kingdom it hails its liege.
3. Thou shalt respect all weaknesses, and shalt constitute thyself the defender of them.
4. Thou shalt love the country in that which thou wast born.
5. Thou shalt not recoil before the enemy.
6. Thou shalt make war against the Infidel without cessation.
7. Thou shalt perform scrupulously thy feudal duties, if they be not contrary to the laws of the gods and goddesses.
8. Thou shalt never lie, and shalt remain faithful to thy pledged word.
9. Thou shalt be generous, and give largesse to everyone.
10. Thou shalt be everywhere and always champion the Right and the Good against Injustice and Evil.

After the tour at the School for Knights, the princess had also guided us to one of the Hunter Guild Outpost in Crystal City.

“Most of the heroes in the past had joined the Hunter Guilds and became Adamantine and Mythril Rank Hunters.” Princess Armina clearly pointed out this fact for us and showed us the Guild’s System. I for one was quite allured by the amount of freedom the Guild give its members and redhead shared my eagerness to join.

However, the King was adamant for both me and redhead to enroll in the knight school and become a knight instead of becoming Hunters. Princess Armina even got scolded by the king for even allowing us to enter Hunter’s Guild Outpost.

“Your Highness if I may be so bold to say a few words. It was due to our earnest request that Princess Armina had to guide us to the Guild. Please don’t be so hard on the Princess who just answered our request, right” redhead was fast with charms, he had save the princess face by saying that it was our fault, to make it more worse he even gestured for me to follow up.

“That is right Great King of Galvaland, in fact both us heroes are most eager to join the Rank of Knights.” I chided in.

“ohhhh!” a clamor seems to have erupted from the gallery of nobles. I could also see Princess Armina’s face in shock.

I wonder if it was something I said, but because of that the king looked pleased and stopped the harassing the Princess and started to praise us. There were even applauses from the gallery of nobles. The princess wanted to say something but the king had stopped her before she could say anything.

So it has been decided that both me and redhead will be attending Galahad School for Knights, and join the Ranks of Knights after our graduation.

The Knight’s Curriculum was for three years and another year for an elective class totaling four years. During the first year we will be educated with the Knighthood Ranks and files, the Moral Code of Chivalry, and other requirements to become a proper knight. Since we are also introduced to the nobles who might become the knights’ employer we are also trained etiquette and poise consistent to the noble society.

During the second year we will be trained in the ways of Sword Arts, Shield Arts, Lance Arts and other Specialized Martial Arts, Equestrian training, Archery, and other Combat related training. And on the third year we will be allowed to partake in Apprenticeship and become a squire to a regular knight or master knight.

The fourth year is designed for a knight to become versatile. We will undergo supplementary lessons and add something that will augment our knightly skills. We can choose from learning offensive, defensive or support magic or other skills that will make us stronger as knights.

So tomorrow will be the start of my official first year as a student of Galahad School for Knights hopefully redhead and I will not be in the same class.

Eternal Rest and the World’s Beginnings

Billions of Eons ago, when this world surrounded by nothing but vast ocean breathes its first sigh, a Magnificent World Dragon came and breathes its last.

‘It was fun while it lasted.’ the Dragon’s last words left ripples in this water bound world. The World Dragon came looking for a place to earn his eternal rest and bury the treasure he had amassed throughout his lifetime.

No longer than a billion years passed, its colossal body had eventually given to rot but could not completely disappear, the remains then became land mass where eons of years later all walks of life would tread.

The World Dragon’s blood took on different forms and gave birth to the monsters that would be its first inhabitants. The treasures that the World Dragon had amassed and had kept inside his body had all but been buried waiting to be excavated. His bones will then become the eternal fuels that would keep this world living for almost an eternity. His heart which continues to eternally pulsate became this world’s source of power.

Thus this is how this water bound world was blessed by the death of a World Dragon and thus the tranquility of this world that would last almost an eternity.

The Gods and Goddesses Descent upon this World

Another billion of eons later the world became infested with monsters, and thus this world could only know of violence. One day when the monsters continued to pillage the resources of this world through violence and evil deeds, the Gods and Goddesses descended from the heavens and decided to punish the monsters and gave birth to beings which would stop their violent actions and violent deeds.

These Gods and Goddesses gave birth to two ORIGINS (Race): the long lived superior in many ways ELVENs and the short lived yet given the most potential to grow the HUMAs who became torment and bane for the monsters.

The two ORIGINs however who for the same reason for their conception could not get along were like water and oil and always resist each other eventually leading to a war between the two. The ELVEN could only see an inferior race in the HUMAs and the HUMAs could only see arrogance in the ELVENs who the HUMAs believe to have stolen from the Gods and Goddesses to achieve longevity and immense power.

The Story of the Progenitors and the Birth of the First Hero

This story dates back 117 years after the creation and 1,800 years ago today during the appearance of the First Demon Lord. A human King great ancestor to the Kingdom of Galvaland consumed by great hunger of lust and power, betrayed humanity by worshipping the Evil God JASHIN. His faithful reverence to the Evil God had garnered him the power and title of First Demon Lord.

The First Demon Lord filled with his insatiable lust had captured women around his kingdom may it be Huma maids, Huma villagers, Elven Villagers, Elven princesses, Elven Priestess-Princess, Huma princess, and even his own daughter a Huma Priestess-Princess.

The normal Huma and Elven girls who did not have enough MANA could not succumb to First Demon Lord’s power died soon after giving birth to the ABOMINATIONS, ORIGINS who has no ability to think and could only violate the eco-system, said to be the one who gave birth to the DEMI-HUMANs.

The Elvin Priestess-Princess gave birth to the PROGENITOR VAMPIRE, first of the Vampire ORIGINs, due to her strong magical affinity she did not die after giving birth to her child. Fortunately she found a way to escape her captivity and took her son to an uncharted region and lived the rest of her life taking care of her only son.

The Demon Lord’s daughter who also had strong magical affinity survived the humiliation and gave birth to twins the PROGENITOR SACCUBUS and the PROGENITOR INCUBUS, unlike the Elven Priestess-Princess she had called forth her servants to kill of the unwanted children, but the two progenitors survived and were separated now they continue to elude their pursuers.

Later the princess called for a rebellion to oust the First Demon Lord, her father. She was the first to have succeeded in summoning the First Hero with the aide from the Supreme Goddess of Life and Fate, Lifaria rallied her allies and killed the Demon Lord and saved the World of Resmere. The Priestess-Princess and First Hero wed and restored the Kingdom of Galvaland into its former glory.

A month had passed since we had enrolled at Galahad School for Knights and as usual we’re reading text books and the likes to supplement our understanding about this world.

Well, when I was still on the previous world, I have always loved to read fantasy novels and the references written in text this book is fantasy itself. It detailed the accounts of the world’s beginnings, the descent of the gods and even the different ORIGINS of this world.

Just to be clear, ORIGIN is actually a term depicting the races of this world. From the monsters and to the humans, while there are countless ORIGINs for monsters there are only a few for humans.

HUMANs is a collective term for the higher order of sentient beings that made the civilizations in this world of Resmere, in account there are only two, they are the following:

• HUMA
• ELVEN

However, there are ORIGINs who are considered Demons yet retain human qualities and therefore are still considered as a HUMAN ORIGIN, they are known also known as TABOOs, existence that are considered an unholy offspring between a Demon and a HUMAN, the first of their kind who are the offspring of the First Demon Lord and the women he had violated are also known as the progenitor they count to four:

• VAMPIRES offspring from a DEMON and an spiritually strong ELVEN
• SCCUBUS offspring from a DEMON and an spiritually strong HUMA
• INCUBUS offspring from a DEMON and an spiritually strong HUMA
• ABOMINATIONS offspring from a DEMON and an inferior ELVEN or HUMA

While abominations are more close to monsters or demons they are considered as ORIGIN of HUMANs since they have human blood when they were born. According to some studies, they are supposedly the progenitor of most of the DEMI-HUMANS after they violate monsters.

The lowest order of VAMPIRES, SUCCUBUS and INCUBUS are also considered LESSER DEMONS while retaining their HUMAN ORIGIN status, why it is so is still a hot debate for many scholars. One side say that they should just be considered LESSER DEMONS, while there are scholars who believe that in order to protect the dignity of the violated women their offspring should always be considered HUMANS. There have been no clear winner for this debate and continue to this day.

While the lore of this world did fascinate me, being stuck inside this classroom with bunch of neophytes for a month now is a little bit painful. While I was thinking along this line, I heard a haughty voice coming from the rear.

Although it spelled trouble, I am edging to dive into it.
