Chapter 272 : Thunder Prisoner Vs Final Puppet
Sasha looked at Riku, gritting her teeth as she asked, "Is Mukade your enemy?"
She had long harbored doubts about him, but Mukade’s power was overwhelming. As queen, she held the title but no real authority—she was powerless to act.
Riku met her gaze and calmly explained, "He’s an arrogant man who wants to conquer the world. Look around—your people are already gone. The streets are filled with puppets."
Sasha had never descended from her tower before, but she followed Riku’s words and looked outside.
Sure enough, the people wandering the streets were not real—they were puppets. But now, with all the chakra transferred to the final puppet, the others had collapsed to the ground.
Each one was made from wood.
Sasha clenched her fists and turned to Riku. "Why did Mukade do this?"
She couldn’t understand. Mukade clearly possessed immense power—why target her people?
Riku gave a bitter smile. "His war puppets need to be crafted manually. The people of Loulan were likely used to build them."
"Mukade is a traitor from Sunagakure. That’s all I can tell you. You need to get out of here."
Before Sasha could respond, lightning erupted from Riku’s body and surrounded her. In the next instant, with a flash of thunder—
She appeared several hundred meters away.
Sasha didn’t know how she had been moved, but she understood—Riku had done it.
As she looked toward the source of the massive blast of lightning in the distance, she clenched her fists and murmured, "My people..."
But she had also heard Riku’s warning. She knew she had no power. Joining the battle would only be a hindrance to him.
So she turned and began searching the city for any survivors.

Meanwhile, Riku stood facing the final puppet, a small smile forming on his lips. "Interesting."
Minato Namikaze and the others were far less composed.
The sheer volume of chakra within the puppet made it comparable to a Tailed Beast—possibly even stronger than most.
Even Minato found it daunting.
He turned to Riku, only to find him smiling faintly, as if the massive war puppet posed no real threat.
"Riku," Minato asked, "do you have a plan?"
Riku paused to think. "We just need to sever its chakra network—but now Mukade has fused with the puppet."
"If we want to cut off its chakra, we’ll have to destroy the puppet entirely. But it’s still drawing power from the Dragon Vein. Unless we seal it, even if we destroy the puppet, it’ll reassemble itself."
"That’s the basic idea."
Minato frowned. "Sealing the Dragon Vein won’t be easy. It’s directly beneath the puppet’s feet."
Riku nodded. "So the only real option is to smash the puppet and sever its connection to the Dragon Vein."
Minato was speechless. Just the thought of destroying the war puppet was overwhelming—he had hoped for another way.
But Riku seemed fully intent on brute-forcing a solution. It was insane.
Ignoring the shocked expressions around him, Riku looked at the puppet again and muttered, "I wonder how this compares to Sasori’s puppets... How much stronger is it?"
Then he pressed his hands together.
"Lightning Style: Thunder Prison."
As his hands formed the seal, a massive surge of chakra erupted from his body.
A spiraling vortex of space formed in front of him.
Minato’s eyes widened. "That’s a space-time vortex! How can Riku use that?"
In truth, Riku wasn’t tearing space with raw power. He had modified the Flying Thunder God Technique to open space through a clever application of it—creating access to another dimension.
Inside that dimension was something Riku had developed: the Thunder Prison.
The Thunder Prison was a creature of pure chakra, not unlike a Tailed Beast, created using Yin-Yang Release.
Unlike the Tailed Beasts, which were sentient living beings, the Thunder Prison was a sentient chakra construct.
It had no flesh or blood—it was energy given form.
In that Otherworldly dimension, three such Thunder Prisoners existed.
Each one required Riku to store up an entire year’s worth of excess chakra to create.
His chakra capacity was immense, constantly growing as his body evolved—unlike the chakra of the Ten Tails, which was distributed and fixed after the Divine Tree bore fruit.
While the Tailed Beasts absorbed nature energy to generate chakra, Riku’s chakra production was limitless, always expanding.
When infused with Yin-Yang Release, the Thunder Prisoners became fully conscious entities.
Unlike the beast-like Tailed Beasts, these Thunder Prisoners were humanoid—towering titans of living lightning.
Suddenly, massive lightning-forged hands reached through the space-time vortex.
Minato felt the incredible surge of chakra spill into their world.
"Roooaaaar!"
A towering Thunder Titan, over 100 meters tall, stepped through the portal.
Everyone froze in shock.
The war puppet was enormous—but this being was just as large.
Whether it was Minato, his companions, or even Mukade himself, all stared at the titan in disbelief.
"Is... is that your summoning beast?" someone asked.
Riku shook his head. "No. Just a ninjutsu."
As the vortex closed behind it, the Thunder Prisoner raised a massive sword of crackling lightning in both hands.
Its body was encased in an armor of violet-gold lightning, resembling the defensive layers of Susanoo.
Golden light gleamed in its eyes as it towered above the battlefield.
For a moment, Mukade was stunned. Then he sneered and shouted, "It doesn’t matter—let’s see how strong my final puppet really is!"
With that, Mukade drove the war puppet forward.
A long tail extended from its back, shooting toward the Thunder Prisoner like a scorpion’s stinger—similar to Sasori’s tail from the Hiruko puppet.
But just before it could strike, the Thunder Prisoner raised its left hand.
A shield of lightning formed instantly in its grasp.
Boom!
The tail slammed into the shield with explosive force.
The shockwave that followed was apocalyptic.
Within seconds, everything within several hundred meters was flattened to rubble.
The very earth cracked beneath the clash of titanic chakra-born weapons.
