Chapter 851: Not Fit To be A Mother
Yang Wei was really angry. In her heart, she had already waited long enough for Bai Wenxuan; why was the man still not there to see her? He should have come to look for her by now. She was the mother of his child after all! How could he not care about her in the least?
"He is busy with something," Fox repeated what he had already told Yang Wei. He, of course, knew that Bai Wenxuan was with Xu Jinye, but the last thing he wanted was for Yang Wei to cause trouble for Bai Meiyue on the first day of her arrival at the safe base. Bai Meiyue was already quite upset with them because they asked her to take back her order and bring Yang Wei into the safe base.
If Yang Wei got into a fight with Xu Jinye, then he could kiss his own place in the safe base goodbye.
"How long?"
"What?" Fox tilted his head to one side and asked when he heard Yang Wei’s question.
"I asked how long, damn it." Yang Wei uncrossed her arms that were crossed on her bosom, and she flared her nostrils at Fox. "How long will it take for Brother Wenxuan to come and meet me? I came here for him; if not for the fact that he was not trapped in this damned place and could not leave, then I would have never come back here."
Of course, she was lying. The reason she came to this safe base again was that Old Madam Bai sent her. It had nothing to do with Bai Wenxuan. But she was not foolish enough to admit it out loud. Anyway, she did miss her Brother Wenxuan and wanted to see him as soon as possible.
"I will relay your feelings to Master Bai." Fox smiled and took his leave with a quick bow. He did not linger to listen to Yang Wei’s instructions and whining, which only made the woman even more sullen. When she saw that the man had left, she pursed her lips and turned around to walk back inside the mansion. Fine, she would wait for Bai Wenxuan to come looking for her. She did not believe that he would not come to see her!
However, even after waiting for the entire afternoon, there were no signs of Bai Wenxuan. It was as if he didn’t even know that Yang Wei was waiting for me. The sound of a child’s cry echoed on the porch, and Xiao Chenye turned to look at the source of the sound. When he saw that it was the two nannies who used to take care of their young master, he hurried forward to meet them.
"Why are you two here?" Xiao Chenye did not expect the two of them to come looking for them.
"Why else?" one of the nannies spoke with a frown. "Xiao Chenye, this little one is different from the rest of the babies in the hospital. He has a mother, and we aren’t your family’s personally hired nannies. We took care of this child because Miss Bai asked us to look after him. But now that the mother is back, the child will definitely be returned to the mother."
As she spoke, the woman handed Xiao Chenye the little prince of the Bai family. "Take care of him; we will be taking our leave now."
These women had maternal instincts, which was the only reason why they took care of the baby for so long, but they also had their own children, and they did not have endless energy. Though Xiao Bao was easy to take care of, he was quite fussy at times. And they had to take care of their own children as well.
