The world had learned to breathe again. Green skylines, clear waters and cities reborn under clean light. But inside Parker Tower, chaos reigned.
Not just any kind of chaos, it was wedding chaos.
The penthouse had been transformed into a command center of ribbons, holographic flower arrangements and sound tests that alternated between jazz, orchestra and Tony's questionable playlist titled "Science & Love: Volume 3."
"Tony," Gwen said, holding her temples as she surveyed the mess, "why are there drones assembling floral patterns shaped like arc reactors?"
Tony, lounging on the couch with a tablet, didn't even look up. "Because hearts are overdone. Arc reactors say eternal power, renewable love."
Pepper leaned in behind him and snatched the tablet. "They say 'overcompensating engineer' Tony. Let the planner do her job."
Across the room, Shuri was calibrating Gwen's wedding bracelet. A fusion of Wakandan nanotech and subtle elegance. "Don't move your wrist." She said, concentrating. "If I get the phase tuning wrong, you'll end up with a holographic bouquet projecting from your arm."
Gwen exhaled. "That might actually still be prettier than Tony's drones." Then Gwen took off the bracelet. " Listen Shuri, I appreciate the effort but I'm not walking the isle with ghost flowers. I'm walking with fresh, real flowers that people can catch."
"Fine, it's your wedding." Said Shuri with mock surrender.
"Hey!" Tony protested. "You wound me."
Peter, meanwhile, stood beside a large 3D projection of the seating chart, trying to mediate between Aunt May and the Wakandan royal protocol officer.
"I'm just saying," May insisted, "if you're putting dignitaries that close to the dessert table, they'll never hear the vows."
T'Chaka's representative gave a polite smile. "The King's sister has a fondness for pastries, Mrs. Parker."
"Then move the dessert table closer to the front!" May declared as Peter buried his face in his hands.

Later that afternoon, Peter found himself alone in his study, adjusting his tie in front of the mirror. The city stretched beyond the window. Green, brilliant, alive. For a moment, he simply breathed it in.
The knock on the door was soft. Gwen entered, half-dressed in pre-wedding chaos, hair pinned up but with strands of blonde and pink rebelliously falling loose. She leaned against the doorframe, a small smile on her face.
"Caught you talking to your reflection again, Mr. Genius?"
Peter turned, smirking. "Guilty. It's a rare occasion when I'm allowed to be nervous."
"You?" She teased. "The man who told world leaders to fuck off, fought gods and rebuilt cities?"
He shrugged, crossing the room to meet her. "Yeah, but none of them ever asked me to pick a wedding song."
She grinned and took his hand, fingers intertwining. "You know, we've survived world-ending crises. You can handle a dance floor."
He looked at her for a long moment. At the woman who had once been chaos personified, now steady and radiant. "It's strange." He said softly. "I've rebuilt the world with my hands but somehow, this..." he gestured to her, to the air between them "...feels like the one thing I never had to fix. Just… find."
Gwen laughed, eyes shimmering. "Careful, Parker. Keep saying things like that and I might marry you."
He smiled. "That's the plan."

As evening fell, the rehearsal dinner became a blend of awkward coordination and affectionate chaos.
Rhodes gave an overly formal toast that ended with, "Please don't let Tony near the soundboard."
Frank, standing beside him, raised his glass. "Or the champagne."
"Hey!" Tony called from across the table. "I'm perfectly responsible!"
"Sure," Bruce murmured. "That's why there's a coffee mug labeled 'Do Not Mix With Nitro' on your bench."
Even Fury had shown up, wearing an expression that could almost, almost be mistaken for pride. "I've seen people build empires faster than you two planned this wedding." He grumbled. "But I suppose you earned it."
"Is that your way of saying congratulations?" Peter asked.
Fury smirked. "Don't push it."

When the night wound down, the tower lights dimmed to a warm gold. Gwen stood on the balcony, looking out over the city — her city now, the one she'd helped protect. Peter joined her quietly, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
"Nervous?" He asked.
She shook her head. "Not anymore. For once, I don't feel like I'm chasing something. I just feel like I'm where I'm supposed to be."
He leaned in close. "Then tomorrow," He said softly, "the world stops spinning just for a moment."
She smiled at him, eyes bright with affection and the faintest glimmer of tears. "And after that?"
He kissed her forehead. "Then it spins again. But this time, together."
---
The city below glittered like starlight. The night before the vows felt like the calm before a sunrise the promise of something beautiful waiting just beyond the horizon.
Tomorrow, the world would witness their union.
Tonight, they were just Peter and Gwen — two souls who had built peace from chaos, standing on the edge of forever.
