Chapter 117: Weight of Silence
For three days, the Void Sea was a graveyard of heavy, industrial stillness.
The gray static of the deep dimension clung to the jagged hulls of the four Abyssal Dreadnoughts like thick fog. Outside, the tens of thousands of Void-iron Brutes moved with terrifying, silent efficiency. Suspended in the anti-gravity tethers, they stripped the remaining celestial bronze from the pulverized solar galleons, violently welding the stolen Exalted-tier metal directly over the scarred armor plating of Kaelen’s fleet.
Deep within the cavernous master sanctum of The Tartarus Leviathan, the Abyssal Emperor sat entirely motionless upon a meditative slab of pure obsidian.
Kaelen was bare-chested, his heavily muscled torso slick with a sheen of dark sweat. The deep violet runes carved into his flesh were pulsing erratically, aggressively flaring as they fought a localized war within his own leylines.
Hovering a few inches above Kaelen’s calloused palms was the prize of the crusade: the shattered, Exalted-tier logic core of Grand Purifier Malachai.
Even fractured, the Level 140 core radiated a blinding, suffocating white light. It was a hyper-condensed singularity of fanatical zealotry and unyielding holy law. The math within it was actively screaming, desperately trying to reject the heavy, chaotic gravity of the Original Sin that Kaelen was forcing into it.
"You are dead, zealot," Kaelen whispered, the multi-tonal resonance of his voice violently vibrating the obsidian slab. "Stop calculating."
Kaelen flared his Primordial Sovereign core to its absolute limit. He didn’t just siphon the energy; he conceptually crushed it. He physically closed his hands over the blinding silver core.
The resulting shockwave was completely internalized. Kaelen’s back violently arched, the heavy tendons in his neck pulling taut as ten thousand years of pure, Exalted-tier holy law was aggressively melted down by the bottomless hunger of his God-Eater authority. The blinding white light leaked through his closed fingers for a fraction of a second before violently flashing to a necrotic, permanent violet.
Kaelen exhaled a heavy cloud of dark, burning ash.
[System Notification: Mythic-Tier Core successfully digested.] [Host has absorbed the absolute law of the Grand Purifier.] [New Passive Unlocked: ’Heretic’s Zenith’ (Host is now conceptually immune to all forms of celestial judgment, binding, or holy erasure. Holy damage taken is reduced by 80%).] [Level Up! Host is now Level 117.]
Kaelen opened his pitch-black eyes. The ambient gravity in the massive chamber instantly, flawlessly stabilized. He felt impossibly dense. The frantic, fanatical math of the Purifier caste had been entirely rewritten into fuel for his physical and magical baseline.
The heavy iron doors of the sanctum hissed open.
Ariel and Elyssia stepped into the room in flawless, synchronized unison. The contrast between the two fallen entities was breathtaking. Ariel, the Supreme Commander, possessed the cold, militaristic beauty of a Valkyrie, her six void-metal wings folded sharply behind her. Elyssia, the Demigoddess of Abyssal Law, radiated a heavy, uncompromising elegance, her ten obsidian-silver wings actively suppressing the ambient light of the room.
Both women dropped to one knee before the obsidian slab.
"The fleet is fully repaired and restocked, Master," Ariel reported, her corrupted blue eyes shining with tactical precision. "The Brutes have digested the EXP from the crusade. The infantry line has mathematically leveled up. We are no longer just an army; we are an Exalted-tier force."
"And the blockade?" Kaelen rumbled, slowly stepping down from the slab.
"Non-existent," Elyssia answered smoothly, her golden eyes tracking his heavy movements with deep, unadulterated devotion. "With Malachai dead and the Purifiers erased, the Goddess Aurelia has recalled every surviving angel to the Sphere of Radiance. She has completely abandoned the outer and middle Spheres. Heaven is currently hiding."
Kaelen walked over to a heavy iron table and picked up his dark mantle, draping it over his broad shoulders. "Hiding behind what?"
Elyssia stood up, projecting a localized, hyper-condensed map of the inner heavens using her dark leylines.
"The Zenith Gates," the former Justiciar explained, pointing to a massive, spherical barrier of solid, blinding light surrounding the capital dimension. "It is a mathematical firewall forged by the Goddess herself. It does not deflect physical attacks; it conceptually rejects unauthorized existence. If a ship touches that barrier without the proper holy frequency, it will not explode. It will simply cease to exist."
"A perfect mathematical shield," Ariel noted, her brow furrowing. "Can your Absolute Verdict bypass it, Elyssia?"
"No," Elyssia admitted, shaking her head. "My law can overwrite the logic of angels, but the Zenith Gates are woven from the Goddess’s personal foundation. It would be like trying to talk a mountain into moving."
Suddenly, the comms on the wall crackled with violent, joyful static.
"You don’t talk to a mountain, Justiciar!" Elara’s manic, exhausted shriek echoed through the sanctum. "You blow it to mathematically unrecognizable pieces!"
Kaelen smirked, looking at the comm unit. "Report, Grand Architect."
"The integration is complete, my Demigod!" Elara giggled, the sound of heavy machinery aggressively churning in the background. "I have wired the three Mythic-tier logic cores of the Exalted Behemoths directly into the primary dimensional artery on the prow. We are no longer firing just raw Abyssal rot!"
"What are we firing, Elara?" Kaelen asked, the dark anticipation in his voice physically vibrating the room.
"A localized paradox, Master!" Elara practically swooned over the comms. "By forcefully injecting the absolute, unyielding logic of the Behemoths with the chaotic, reality-breaking weight of the Original Sin... the Artery Cannon will fire a beam of conceptual contradiction. When it hits the Zenith Gates, the Goddess’s perfect math is going to try to process it, and her entire firewall is going to crash!"
Kaelen’s dark smile widened into a promise of absolute, undeniable apocalypse.
He looked at his Demigoddesses. The three days of rest were over. The meat grinder had been fully reloaded, and the final lock on heaven’s door was about to be blown wide open.
"Ariel. Sound the advance," Kaelen commanded, drawing his Void-Steel longsword. The catastrophic black fire violently erupted along the blade, eager for the blood of the inner Choirs.
"Take us out of the Void Sea. We are marching on the Sphere of Radiance."
