Chapter 107: Gravity of War
The sky above the Sun-Forge did not burn; it collapsed.
Elara’s Entropic Gravity Cannons fired not with a deafening boom, but with a localized, agonizing silence that conceptually muted the roaring rivers of plasma. Six hyper-condensed spheres of necrotic violet gravity violently violently tore upward from the dreadnought’s jagged hull, seeking the pristine golden galleons of the Second Solar Fleet.
When the spheres made impact, they didn’t detonate outward. They mathematically inverted.
"Hull integrity failing!" a celestial admiral screamed as a violet sphere struck the center of his galleon.
The Exalted-tier celestial bronze didn’t shatter—it crumpled inward. The localized gravity within a hundred-yard radius was instantly multiplied by ten thousand. The massive galleons shrieked as they were aggressively crushed into hyper-dense balls of mangled metal and dying light. Stripped of their buoyancy, the ruined ships plummeted from the sky like solid meteors, crashing catastrophically into the superheated star-metal trenches below.
[Hostile Vessels Destroyed: Solar Galleon x 6.]
[Ambient Heat Devoured. Engine output optimized.]
"Reloading! Oh, they are so brittle!" Elara shrieked from the bridge, dancing across the corrupted logic console.
Down in the trenches, the impact of the falling galleons actively shattered the celestial defensive lines. It was the opening Ariel needed.
"Push!" the Supreme Commander’s voice boomed telepathically, her six void-metal wings raining heavy shadows over the battlefield. "Legion’s Authority: Unyielding Advance!"
The ten thousand Void-iron Brutes surged forward. The heavy, claustrophobic trench warfare was entirely in their favor. The Forge-Angels, bred to cast elegant solar magic from a distance, were brutally outmatched in close-quarters mud and blood. The Brutes drove their heavy tower shields forward, actively crushing the angels against the burning walls of the trench, before bringing down jagged meat cleavers to sever their golden wings.
It was an industrialized slaughter.
Seraphina was a localized hurricane of black fire. The Demigoddess of Entropic War leaped from the severed shoulder of the golem she had just destroyed, landing heavily on the molten back of another.
The fifty-foot construct of liquid gold roared, trying to conceptually incinerate the anomaly on its back.
"Burn me?!" Seraphina laughed, driving her void-diamond gauntlets directly into the golem’s molten neck. "I am already on fire!"
She forcefully injected her Eclipse Aura directly into the construct’s internal leylines. The necrotic violet rot aggressively aggressively spread through the liquid gold, mathematically unmaking the heat. The golem hardened, turning into brittle, dead slag, before Seraphina swung her greatsword and effortlessly decapitated it.
On the boarding ramp of the Eater of Dawn, he drew a slow, deeply satiated breath. The heavy, intoxicating gravity of his Level 110 core resonated with the sheer volume of kinetic trauma being inflicted.
"Hold the bridge, Lyriel," he commanded smoothly.
He didn’t wait for a response. He stepped off the ramp and plummeted into the trench.
He landed with a seismic, localized impact that actively cracked the indestructible star-metal beneath his Void-Steel boots. A squad of elite Forge-Seraphs, clad in heavy, glowing plasma armor, turned their spears toward the Abyssal Emperor.
"The Anomaly is on the ground!" their captain roared. "Focus fire! Atomize him!"
Six hyper-condensed beams of solar plasma violently erupted from their spears, converging directly on Kaelen’s chest.
He didn’t raise a shield. He didn’t even break his stride. The moment the blinding holy light struck his body, the Original Sin anchored in his core violently flared. The God-Eater authority aggressively devoured the kinetic intent, instantly converting the lethal thermal energy into a faint, warm breeze that merely ruffled his dark hair.
The Forge-Seraphs froze, their perfect mathematical logic completely stalling.
"You are trying to warm a black hole," he whispered, the multi-tonal resonance of his voice cutting through the deafening roar of the forge.
He swung his Void-Steel longsword.
He didn’t aim for their bodies. He aimed at the conceptual space they occupied. A catastrophic wave of heavy black fire erupted from the blade, forcefully bypassing their physical armor and directly striking their silver logic cores. The six elite Seraphs instantly collapsed, their golden armor entirely intact, but their souls conceptually erased.
[Hostile Entities Eliminated: Forge-Seraph (Level 110) x 6.]
He stepped over their bodies, walking deeper into the hyper-volcanic dimension.
Ahead of them, at the very center of the realm, stood the true objective: The Grand Anvil. It was a colossal, floating fortress built directly over the primary dimensional artery that siphoned the liquid plasma of dying stars.
But the celestial defenders were not entirely broken.
High above the Grand Anvil, a towering Forge-Archon with eight burning wings raised a staff of solid, blinding white logic. He saw the Abyssal dreadnought sinking his fleet. He saw the Void-iron Brutes butchering his infantry. He realized the mathematical certainty of their defeat.
"If the Sun-Forge falls, the Pantheon loses its sword," the Archon broadcasted, his voice filled with desperate, unadulterated zealotry. "We will not let the rot take the Anvil! Overload the leylines! Flood the trenches!"
"Axiom of the Dying Star!"
The massive floodgates holding back the primary river of liquid solar plasma were violently, aggressively shattered.
A localized tsunami of pure, superheated gold—a wave fifty feet high and carrying the thermal weight of a collapsing sun—roared down the central trench, heading directly for the Ascendant Legions. It was a scorched-earth tactic designed to conceptually incinerate everything, friend and foe alike.
"Master!" Ariel warned over the telepathic link, her wings flaring as she desperately tried to cast a shadow-barrier wide enough to protect the infantry.
"Hold your position, Commander," he rumbled calmly.
The Abyssal Emperor stepped to the very front of the Vanguard line. He sheathed his longsword. He stood alone in the path of the towering, apocalyptic wave of liquid sun.
He raised his right hand, his palm facing the approaching tsunami. His pitch-black eyes burned with absolute, undeniable sovereignty. He didn’t tap into a fraction of his power. He unleashed the absolute foundation of the Original Sin.
"Black Genesis: Abyssal Maw."
The localized space in front of him violently violently tore open. A hyper-dense singularity of pure, freezing void manifested in his palm.
When the fifty-foot wave of liquid plasma struck him, it didn’t crash over him. It was forcefully, aggressively inhaled. The bottomless hunger of the Abyssal core mathematically defied the volume of the plasma, actively devouring millions of tons of superheated gold in a matter of seconds.
The deafening roar of the tsunami was replaced by a harrowing, rushing silence as the river of fire was entirely swallowed by Kaelen’s localized event horizon.
He slowly lowered his hand. The trench before him was entirely empty, reduced to dry, smoking star-metal.
On the Grand Anvil, the Forge-Archon dropped his staff in pure, uncalculated horror.
"He... he ate the river," the Archon whispered.
He exhaled a breath of superheated, violet steam. He looked up at the floating fortress, a deeply terrifying, predatory smirk spreading across his face.
"The path is clear," he broadcasted to his legions. "Take the Anvil."
