Chapter 90: Alchemical Stroke
The Vault of the First Sin was no longer a silent tomb. It was vibrating with the catastrophic, heavy thrum of Elara’s entropic magic.
She did not hesitate. She practically scaled the massive, petrified flesh of the chained Abyssal Heart, her soot-stained boots finding purchase on the ancient, pulsating veins. She reached the apex of the colossal organ, where thousands of razor-thin silver needles were siphoning the primordial dark mana up into the glowing golden leylines.
"The filtration engine is so mathematically rigid, Master!" she shrieked down to him, her emerald eyes whited out as her alchemical brands flared with radioactive, blinding violet fire. "It only knows how to process raw, chaotic energy into orderly light. It has absolutely no conceptual defense against a targeted, localized rot!"
"Then rot it to the core, Forge-Master," he commanded, crossing his arms, the heavy gravity of his Level 105 core anchoring the very space around him.
She slammed both of her small, pale hands directly onto the cluster of silver needles.
"Entropic Matrix: Primordial Inversion!"
The reaction was instantaneous and violently explosive. The hyper-dense black fire of Elara’s alchemy forcefully injected itself directly into the celestial filtration engine. The pristine, glowing golden chains violently violently shuddered, letting out a harrowing, metallic scream that sounded like a million dying bells.
The flow of mana reversed its polarity. Instead of filtering the dark, the engine began to aggressively pump Elara’s catastrophic rot directly up the leylines, aiming straight for the central blue star of the dimension.
[System Notification: Conceptual Contamination Initiated.]
[Leyline Corruption: 10%... 15%... 22%...]
High above them, beyond the thick obsidian ceiling of the vault, the Sphere of Knowledge realized it was dying.
The ambient temperature in the cavern skyrocketed. The absolute silence of the Archive was shattered by a deafening, localized hum of pure, concentrated holy wrath. The Goddess’s automated immune system had detected the lethal infection and was initiating a localized purge to amputate the basement from the rest of reality.
"Master!" she gasped, her teeth gritted as the golden chains began to burn with a blinding, desperate white heat, trying to incinerate her hands. "The central star is focusing its entire conceptual weight on this room! It’s trying to mathematically delete the vault before the rot reaches the upper tiers!"
"Let it try," Seraphina laughed, her bloodlust entirely unhinged.
The Vanguard stepped forward as the obsidian walls of the vault began to violently crack. Pouring out of the fissures were not Seraphs, but raw, localized manifestations of the Archive’s panic. They were jagged, shifting hounds made entirely of razor-sharp white text and burning blue mana.
They were equations of pure erasure.
Seraphina swung the Eclipse Breaker. The catastrophic black fire roaring along the blade met the rushing hounds in a devastating horizontal arc. The kinetic shockwave actively shattered the white text into harmless, sparkling dust.
"They don’t bleed!" she complained, effortlessly backhanding a second hound into the cavern wall, shattering its geometry. "But they shatter beautifully!"
He ignored the hounds. He kept his pitch-black eyes locked on the ceiling.
The obsidian stone above them was turning translucent, melting under the sheer, staggering pressure of a localized holy orbital strike. The central star of the dimension was pooling millions of tons of pure, celestial logic to crush the vault out of existence.
He didn’t draw a weapon. He simply walked toward the colossal Abyssal Heart.
"You have been bleeding for ten thousand years," he whispered to the massive, petrified organ. He reached out and placed his bare, calloused hand flat against the hyper-dense black flesh.
The moment his skin touched the Heart, the God-Eater authority flared with an intensity that eclipsed everything else in the room. He wasn’t just pulling mana; he was resonating. The Abyssal Heart recognized its true sovereign.
[System Warning: Primordial Resonance Achieved.]
[Host is absorbing ’The Original Sin’.]
A localized pulse of pure, unfiltered darkness violently erupted from the Heart, aggressively flooding up Kaelen’s arm. It was an ocean of agonizing, world-ending power, completely untamed by any celestial filter. His muscles bulged, the faint violet runes of his body flashing to a blinding, abyssal pitch-black as his Primordial Sovereign core desperately expanded to contain the sheer weight of the primordial root.
The ceiling finally gave way.
A pillar of absolute, blinding white logic crashed downward—a beam of holy erasure so dense it actively silenced the sound of its own destruction. It was meant to atomize the Heart, the Emperor, and the rot all at once.
He looked up. He didn’t dodge. He didn’t cast a shield.
He simply raised his free hand and unleashed the borrowed weight of the First Sin.
"Black Genesis: Absolute Eclipse."
A singularity of pure, hyper-condensed darkness violently violently erupted from his palm. It expanded into a colossal umbrella of localized void that met the falling pillar of holy logic head-on.
The collision defied physics. The holy light didn’t explode; it was aggressively, violently eaten. The bottomless hunger of the Abyssal Heart, channeled through his authority, actively swallowed the Goddess’s ultimate purge. The white light shrieked, flickering and dying against the impenetrable canopy of Kaelen’s ambition.
[Holy Purge Nullified. +45,000,000 EXP.]
[Primordial Sovereign Core upgraded to Level 108.]
"The leylines are breached!" she screamed in pure, unadulterated ecstasy, ripping her burned, smoking hands away from the silver needles.
The golden chains holding the Heart instantly turned a sickly, necrotic violet. The corruption shot upward through the shattered ceiling, traveling at the speed of thought directly into the pristine, mathematical nervous system of heaven’s library.
[Leyline Corruption: 100%.]
[System Notification: The ’Archive of Fate’ has been catastrophically infected.]
The localized physics of the room violently violently shuddered. The gravity briefly failed. The glowing white text of the eradication hounds glitched and dissolved into gray static.
From far above them, echoing down the massive, shattered shaft that led to the upper tiers, came a sound that had never been heard in the Sphere of Knowledge.
It was the sound of a million Seraphs screaming.
The pristine, sterile blue mana of the central star abruptly flickered, and then violently violently flashed to a deep, radioactive Abyssal violet.
"The mathematical engine just stroked out," she giggled, dropping gracefully from the top of the Heart, landing on the dark stone with a soot-stained grin. "The Seraphs are currently drowning in ten thousand years of unfiltered, chaotic emotion. Their logic cores are literally melting, Master."
He lowered his hand, his chest heaving slightly as he digested the residual primordial mana. His pitch-black eyes burned with an intoxicating, deeply terrifying satisfaction.
"The stealth phase of this operation is officially over," he rumbled, the heavy resonance of his voice echoing up into the dying library.
He turned toward the shattered doorway, stepping over the ashes of the Goddess’s truth.
"Vanguard. Forge-Master," the Emperor commanded, a dark, bloodthirsty smirk spreading across his face. "Let us go upstairs. I want to watch the scholars burn."
