Abigail felt like the whole world had stopped spinning. Her mouth fell open in complete shock as she stared at Henry’s face. "Micheal?" she whispered. She could not believe what she was seeing. Without thinking, she reached out and touched his smooth cheek, holding it gently as if she needed to make sure he was real.

"Why?" she asked softly.

Henry raised an eyebrow. "Why what?"

Abigail glared at him and tried to stand up from the table, but he grabbed her chin and made her sit back down. "Look, don’t you dare tell anyone about this."

"Oliver knew, right?" she said. She had felt for a while that he was hiding something important. "No wonder." She sighed, still trying to wrap her head around everything.

In her mind, she wondered if Henry had covered his face all this time because of her. Even with the light beard he has in his Michael’s form.... he looked so different from what she had imagined.

Henry watched her with amusement in his eyes. "Things are more complicated than you think," he told her. "Didn’t you notice that from your company?"

Abigail still felt confused. She had so many questions, but his good looks kept distracting her. Those pink lips looked far too tempting. How would this dangerous man has innocent face and soft voice?

Unable to handle it anymore, she pushed against his chest. Her hands accidentally brushed against the inner part of his suit. She quickly pulled them back and sighed awkwardly. She could not believe the man she had loved her whole life had been right in front of her all along.

"Just stay here for a while," Henry said. He glanced at his phone and let out a long sigh.

Abigail felt disappointed. It turned out they were hiding in this room to avoid something. She sneaked a look at his phone and saw the messages. ’Tell me when they are gone.’ and ’Ok boss.’

"Who’s that?" she asked.

Henry looked at her, and she quickly turned her eyes away, feeling nervous. She was not used to seeing him like this at all. Before she could do something she might regret forever, she grabbed the mask and carefully put it back on his face.

Henry stood up straight when his phone vibrated. "You can go now," he said.

Abigail scoffed. "You don’t even explain anything."

"I don’t owe you any explanation, Abbie," he replied. He paused for a second. "I’m just keeping my word."

"What?" Abigail frowned in confusion. "That you will protect me?" The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. "You suddenly left and came back out of nowhere and claimed me? What do you take me for, Micheal?"

Henry adjusted his tie and moved toward the door. "Wait here until Joshua comes to get you. Be careful. From tomorrow, it is election time." He opened the door to leave.

Abigail scoffed loudly. "How does that even concern me? Then why did you come back, you fool!" she screamed.

Henry paused and looked over his shoulder. "Be careful, Abigail." Then he walked out.

"Yen yen yen, Abigail!" she mimicked him dramatically. She wiggled her body and spread her arms wide to make the impression even funnier.

Joshua walked in at that exact moment and choked on his own saliva. He started coughing hard while watching Henry’s back disappear down the hall. He was sure his boss had heard everything.

Joshua forced a smile at Abigail and sighed. Judging from how bold and nervous she looked, he nodded. "You must be shocked after seeing his face."

Abigail glared at him, picked up her bag, and started walking away.

Joshua’s life flashed before his eyes. "Hey! Where are you going, ma’am? I was asked to take you home."

"I’m not going back to that house!" she yelled and kept walking.

...

Back up on the quiet balcony, Madam Perry still felt shaken, she was about to speak when she heard...

"I’m not going back to that house! How dare he deceive me like that!"

Paul looked down from where he stood and saw Abigail rushing off with Joshua chasing after her. "He let her see his face," Paul said. He raised an eyebrow. "She has learned a lot from you."

Madam Perry looked at Abigail in confusion. She did not understand what was happening at all.

"I bet she did not tell you he is married to my son," Paul said with a smile.

Madam Perry’s eyes widened. "What?"

"Forget it. History always repeats itself," Paul continued. "I knew you tried to stop him from coming to her then, but too bad...he has many identities."

Madam Perry almost choked. "Henry is Michael?"

Paul rolled his eyes and checked his wristwatch. "What do you think?"

Madam Perry tried to leave, but Paul grabbed her neck harshly and pinned her back against the wall. " Did you tell you to leave? you will stay here till my parents enter their car"

She was stunned and quickly held onto his hand. "Who cares! I’m just worried about Abigail..."

Paul let her go in disgust. Madam Perry smiled bitterly. He kept hating her more and more each day. "Just let me go. I promise to avoid your parents no matter what."

Paul gave her a cold look. "You better keep your word. If you do something stupid, you will be punished." He turned around, wiped the hand he had used to touch her with a cloth, and threw it away angrily. He even removed his coat and tossed it to one of his bodyguards.

Tears filled Madam Perry’s eyes. She could not believe that the more she tried to stay away from him, the harder she fell for him.

Then someone stepped out from a corner. "I knew something was not right the moment I saw you running alone, Pearl." The woman sighed and looked in the direction Paul had gone, frowning. "That crazy man! I hope there will be a day when his love for you will finally catch him."

Madam Perry looked at her and frowned. "What are you doing here, Mrs Kim?"

Mrs Kim rolled her eyes and grabbed her arm, hooking it with her own. "Did Paul hit your head or what? Hey... call me Kim So-hee"

Madam Perry sighed and tried to shove her away gently. "This is why I don’t like coming to these elite parties."
