Rejected By Her Family, Claimed By The Masked CEO

Chapter 55: hiding under disguise

The next day, Abigail called Oliver and asked about Archie’s situation. Oliver told her that Archie did not go after Henry. Instead, he went to a bar and drank until he got drunk.

Abigail was very grateful. "At least he is now mature and knows how to handle situations without using violence," she said.

Oliver chuckled on the other end. "He is still upset, but he is not doing anything crazy. Give him some time. He will come around."

Abigail thanked him and ended the call. She sat in the living room, not knowing how to move further with her company. It was Miranda who used to give her suggestions. Maybe it was time to start doing things on her own.

She has decided not to bother her, not even now that she’s not herself about everything that happened. She never expect something like that from her....

In that moment, Luna, Draco’s personal assistant, called her. "I am already at Nik company and I did not see you," Luna said.

Abigail was surprised. "Oh, I am sorry. I will be there soon," she replied.

She got dressed quickly and went to the kitchen to bid Madam Perry goodbye. She paused and observed her more. Madam Perry was so beautiful and had the body of a thirty-year-old woman even though she was just forty.

She suddenly wished Madam Perry had a husband who would love her the way she deserved.

Whenever they asked about her past life, she would say it was complicated. She only told them she was afraid to love again, she said she couldn’t accept the fact that the person she loved most hated her.

They felt sorry for her, who on earth will hate this lovely woman? is either the man is a jerk or blind. It good reason for her doubt her love life, but she still needed someone to take care of her and protect her from snakes among her fellow women.

Abigail smiled the moment she remembered something.

She went to her and smiled. Madam Perry was happy she had finally gathered courage to go back to the company.

" I have a suggestion... I want you to come to the Jones party with me, I have no partner, Oliver will be going with Madeline". Maybe if Miranda dressed her well, she would catch the eyes of single men or men who wanted to remarry. She was even glad she had left the orphanage, or else Madam Perry would not have the time to go to any party.

After some hesitation, She agreed.

Abigail was very happy. "I will let you how it goes " she said.

Reaching the company, Abigail saw Luna waiting for her in her office. Luna greeted her well... she even stood up to greet her. "You will be having a meeting at our headquarter tomorrow morning," she said.

Abigail agreed but looked at her fingers sadly. She had no assistant or secretary. Wouldn’t they laugh at her?

Luna noticed her sadness and mistook it for maybe she was sad about the way Henry, her boss, was treating her.

She chuckled " Is better you patiently wait for the contract to end" She sighed and looked at the window in daze, she used to wonder why dragons always attract kittens and bunnies.

"Henry is more dangerous than he looks," Luna said and laughed in disbelief. " You are this calm because you didn’t go to the same high school together."

Abigail frowned. " I know nothing about him... I don’t even plan to marry him from the beginning. I just want his help"

Luna nodded. She knew her boss very well. Abigail must be tricked. " I don’t know if you want to know more about him?"

Abigail nodded. At least she need someone to talk to.

Luna smiled and started telling her. "Henry, Kim Min-ho, and Oliver Lancaster went to the same high school."

Abigail was surprised. " Oliver go to the same school with Minho and Henry???"

Oliver’s school is very dangerous. That’s why she went to another school with Madeline and Miranda. The school is the most expensive where money and power speak louder. If you can’t fight, you won’t survive.

Luna nodded in satisfaction and told her how Henry had many gangs, including Min-ho. "He was the most dangerous boy and like a second in command to Henry."

"Oliver on the other hand had his own people. In fact, Henry was like the villain in the school and Oliver is someone that they respect, especially when they found out his strength matched Min-ho."

"Oliver didn’t like Min-ho from the beginning because he thought he manipulated innocent people and treated them the way he wanted. Although later he found out Henry was the mastermind. People barely recognised him because he was good at disguise, confusing everyone. Overall, Henry was actually a good person and Min-ho. They are just ruthless. Oliver gained lots of connections in that school and it helps him a lot."

Luna told her a lot more about chilling and dangerous fights she did not even expect from Oliver and the others.

After listening to the terrifying things about the three of them, Abigail asked, "How do you know about it?"

Luna laughed and told her, "I also went to the school."

The two women talked for a long time. Luna shared more stories about their high school days, and Abigail listened carefully.

She learned many things she did not know about Henry, Min-ho, and Oliver.

The conversation made her understand them better. It also made her realize how complicated their world was.

Abigail felt a little more prepared for the meeting the next day. She was grateful to have someone like Luna to talk to.

Unknown to Luna. The day had started with worry, but it ended with new confusion for Abigail!

The problem is Henry himself, so confusing. in fact, It as if she had never heard the of him before.

She has even went to that school several times. but no sign of him, but she knew about Min hio. Turned out she has been hiding since childhood. why would he do something like that?

What was Henry Michelson hiding from?
