Rejected By Her Family, Claimed By The Masked CEO

Chapter 51: Goodbye kiss

Abigail rolled her eyes and looked at the pictures on her desk. "Not your business. What pictures..." But her face was suddenly held up by Michael.

His eyes narrowed. "Who made you cry, Abbie?" he even asked again.

Abigail sighed and slapped his hand away. "Don’t even ask me anything," she roared at him. "You don’t deserve to know anything about me, Michael! You started the hurricane in my life and you don’t even care." The tears she had been trying to hold back started falling.

"I crushed on you for a lot of years, but I was afraid to look obvious because I heard you were dating a girl at that time. I didn’t want to get rid of her. Then later you came to me yourself and..." She shook her head as she remembered the memories she had been trying to erase. "You explained she was not your girlfriend, but someone you just cared for. And yet, you didn’t allow me to see her and you made me fall for you. You stole my first kiss." Then she gritted her teeth. "Even my virginity on my nineteenth birthday. I knew you didn’t force me. I gave you anyway! Because I loved you!!" She rose in anger, but Michael didn’t flinch at all.

He only sighed. Which annoyed her more, especially when he was about to leave.

"Don’t you dare!!!" she yelled and quickly went to him.

"I demand an answer. Why did you suddenly disappear? Why did you come back? Why did you come to me?"

Michael’s calm expression didn’t change. He glanced at the table. "Those are the pictures of the person that secretly took your pictures. I told my boys to make it four in total. They were taken in different places. You can use that to blackmail her. Even if she later uploads your pictures, you will make it look like she is blackmailing you because you know her secret."

While Abigail looked at him in disbelief, he checked his wristwatch and sighed. "My job is done here, Abbie." He turned to leave, but Abigail quickly blocked his way and hugged him tight.

She didn’t know what she was thinking at that moment. She shouldn’t have hugged him. She should be happy he was finally done and had found the culprit.

But right now, the culprit wasn’t what mattered to her. She could guess the person already. She just wanted the answers and wanted to know what she did wrong.

It was that moment she knew how much she still loved the man. "Please... tell me where I went wrong and break up with me right now. If you tell me it’s over, I promise to let you go forever. I will stop bothering you even if you change your mind. I will stop loving you."

Michael was shocked. He didn’t see that coming. He sighed and tried to pull her away, but Abigail was too stubborn. "Listen, Abbie, I’m not pushing you away. I just want to talk to you."

Abigail blushed and pulled away. Michael bent to her level and wiped her face with his long, clean fingers. "You won’t want to know what’s in my mind. When did you become a crybaby, huh?"

Abigail frowned in confusion. "What’s in your mind?"

He chuckled and looked at her. "I want to eat you, Abbie. Taste you again..." Then he glanced at the table behind her. "Spread you wide on that table while you repeat my name continuously."

Abigail blinked and looked at his eyes in disbelief. There was something she just felt that she couldn’t explain, she suddenly regretted forcing him to speak.

But the fact that he finally talked to her after a lot of effort was satisfying. She tried hard not to let what he said fully download into her brain. She tried to focus and act dumb.

"So why would I break up with you?" he said.

"Don’t worry, it’s fine. We may have a lot of history together, but it’s okay. I’m ready to hear it." Abigail said bitterly.

Michael chuckled and looked at the window. "You are mine, Abbie." He moved closer to her as he looked down at her with tenderness Abigail didn’t expect.

"Then why did..."

"I will tell you about it when it’s time. I don’t want you involved in what’s going on."

For some reason, Abigail believed him and nodded. "So... are you leaving the country?"

Michael’s phone vibrated. When he checked it, he scoffed. He looked at Abigail and shook his head. "I just came back."

"Ohh..." Abigail nodded. But for some reason, she kept looking at him as he pressed his phone. The moment their eyes met, she blushed and looked away. Not long after, she looked back and their mouths met.

Abigail was surprised and tried to move away. But he suddenly put his hand at the back of her head. The kiss was wet and deep.

Michael kissed her like he had been waiting for this moment for a long time. His lips moved against hers with hunger and tenderness at the same time.

Abigail felt her knees go weak. She held onto his shirt, her heart beating fast. The kiss lasted longer than she expected. When he finally pulled back, he licked his lips slowly.

"See you soon," he said. Then he turned around and left.

Abigail watched the door in disbelief. What did she just do? Then she remembered Henry’s rule...

’I don’t share...’

Damn! She suddenly felt bad, but at least it helped her calm down. "You better have a good reason for leaving," she said, clenching her fists. She really wanted to know how much she would punish him and teach him good lessons. But at least, she wanted to hear his so-called side story.

The office felt strangely quiet after Michael left. Abigail sat down on her chair and touched her lips. The kiss still lingered there.

She had so many mixed feelings — anger, confusion, and guilt. Part of her was happy he had finally spoken to her, but another part felt bad for betraying the rules of her contract marriage. She wondered what Henry would say if he knew.
