He is no longer just a runaway; he is a student of the wild, mentored by Ashen, a man of few words and many scars who carries the legacy of the Rangers-a legendary group of protectors now hunted to near-extinction.​The Conflict​The journey is far from a simple flight to freedom. Arion and Ashen are pursued by "The Hunters," a relentless force that uses the Rangers' own secret codes and tactics against them. As they move north, Arion must transition from a frightened boy to a capable survivalist.
