"This..." Tamiko began as he looked at his father who was staring at the white door. He could see the way that his father hesitated and how the big bad king was suddenly not so sure about whether to push open the door.
It was something that Tamiko truly understood because honestly, if he were in the same position as his father, he wouldn’t have done it with ease too. Life was dealing them a harsh card and they were trying their very best to live through the mess.
Perhaps it would be easier along the way or it would just be as hectic too. No one knew what this meant for the father and son, save for the father and son; oh, how the fates were sly with them. But perhaps there was a good enough reason for that right?
"Yeah... We used to share this room, before everything went to shit," King Zaffuto said in a strained tone.
Tamiko felt the breath hitch in his throat. He had been so open to having discussions with his father but he hadn’t quite realized that even in that mess, his father was still the man who had lost a mate.
Pain did have different ways of hitting him and his father and right now Tamiko was watching the big bad king almost falter. It was a painful sight for the young Lycan but he had to see it through too.
This was about his family, a people that he cared about. This was about the history that never came to pass and it was also about the revelation of the endless cycles that had been eating at him.
Perhaps there was an answer somewhere in between because, despite all that was happening, he had dared to keep hoping. That was the only thing he could afford right now anyway.
