Chapter 155: Pros & Cons Of Subverting Soul Contracts? by Harem-Fan

I couldn't even focus properly on the teacher's lecture...

After the crazy proposal that Frigg gave me, I am conflicted and not sure this is the right thing to even do.

Flip~! I turned the page of the book talking about the risks involved to the three parties attempting to swap any creature's Soul Contract, not just a Summons' and Summoner's contract... Like the one I have with The Shadow Fairy Queen residing in Pandora.

The person stealing the contract must be stronger in soulpower, which I have in spades.

The Summoner or contract holder needs to be willing, or at least tricked into opening their soul to have it removed without any harm to themselves, otherwise stealing a Summons will kill the Summoner before the Summons can be stolen, in effect killing them both.

With both Lana and Frigg complying and them having weaker souls, the process is friendly instead of violent, but...

Lana is in no danger of dying, however she still can't summon a replacement summons for a year, regardless of success or failure just like Frigg had died.

Now with Frigg willing to join me, it makes stealing her contract easy, but her life and soul are in danger.

Should I make the slightest flaw in casting or creating my magic circle with my 7th Circle Call Summons spell, Frigg dies.

If Frigg's soul isn't sure about becoming my Summons, she dies.

And if I am not sure about Frigg, she can still die.

Frigg stood behind me, over where other Summons and servants waited for their masters, as I felt complicated.

Owen is sure that this Frigg was the one that was Odin's wife from Norse mythology, but she has no feelings towards any of us, other than her dislike for me before my Death element awakened.

Owen even tried wooing Frigg like he did with Gondul and Skogul, with Frigg refusing his advances.

I ruffled my grey hair that is disguised as red, and let my forehead rest in my palms in frustration.

I don't know why the Norse God Loki killed the Goddess Frigg's son Baldr, and this makes me wonder why my Death element made Frigg's soul accept me?

I mumbled to myself in frustration.

"Sigh, What do I do?"

I felt Frigg's hand gently rubbing my shoulder as her telepathic voice came to me.

]Don't let my request bother you, Loki. The worst thing to happen is to loyally serve Lana and help both of you in our long lives. I just think being with you is the key for me to breakthrough to becoming the first 9th Circle Valkyrie...[

]My gut tells me this. Serving a Ghost King didn't help me grow, but a former Archfey might be what I need to grow stronger. And Loki, only you on Myst is known to break common sense. I believe in you, just as Lana does.[

I looked up to Frigg's grey eyes, and saw her motherly smile, like a woman who has seen too much death, and I asked seriously.

]Frigg, what if you were once a woman named Frigga, and my past self was responsible for the murder of your son named Baldr... Could your soul truly want to be with me? I don't want our contract to fail because I hid something that might be true?[

Her hand paused, trembled for an instant, then rubbed my shoulder again.

]Hmm, That is a tough one? If I had a son now, would you kill him, Loki?[

]No, never! I am only telling you about stories I heard, and don't have any knowledge or proof of it. I just feel guilty for something I didn't personally do. I feel guilty towards you for that though.[

Frigg's fingers went up and ruffled my hair like a big sister would, and she joked.

]So if you feel guilty towards me, then you will try hard to make it up to me in this life, right?[

I feel like I am being emotionally blackmailed, but if she is the real woman I made a mess of, I would try.

I just spoke to her directly, as class just ended.

"Um, I would try. But what are you planning, Frigg?"

She said with her deep voice.

"Then make me your Summons and make it up to me for the rest of our lives in this life. If I fail to become your Summons, due to my last life still holding a grudge, then my death will end our grudge with your attempt to help me."

Frigg then took me home to ponder about it...

That night, I was holding Lana in my arms, while Angelica was laying on my other side, reading...

I was talking to them about the whole thing regarding frigg, and pointing out what can still go wrong with both Frigg and Lana.

Lana said seriously to me.

"As for waiting a year for a new Summons, it is fine as I have our son on the way. I am not going to jump into a Secret Realm til around a year anyway. Plus Frigg is more than a Healer, as she is a Full Knight in battle, so having her and Baihu side-by-side is balancing."

Angelica poked my leg with her toe just under the sheet and said calmly.

"The reason Owen was so successful fighting the Emperor wasn't his brains, but the fact Fenrir was a good Vanguard, with twin Healers Knights flanking him. A Summoner isn't as strong as a single Summons, but how they overlap..."

"Owen and both Valkyries can Breath of Life in battle, making them hard to kill, and stacked with Summons Rebirth he is frightening to battle without a small army. Shehuang isn't as strong as Fenrir, but she blesses you, while both Baihu and Frigg can support the front line and heal."

I was actually wishing to not break my eastern theme I had going on, but it seems I did that already with Camila in my other identity.

Then Angelica finished my doubts with...

"And if you're holding out for that Guardian Beast White Tiger to join you, I recommend Frigg over him, as he is a stubborn beast and may not join you for one. Second, Frigg is willing. If she shares a past life with you, it is only fate for you to make her happy... I'm going to sleep now dear, you should rest as well."

So I took a night off from hanky panky and held both pregnant wives to sleep...

The next three weeks went by peacefully while I trained, grew, and dated my wives while spoiling my new baby...

My unofficial first wife in my life, Shade Winter, came to visit for a week on vacation.

Sylvia had brought her father back to the Sky Duchy to take over for the next period of time, for her giving birth and the first few months of the child's development, and Marquee Steven Sky had no issue stepping up, but...

After Sylvia got him to agree, she promptly took over his mansion in the capital and was having Shade oversee the renovations for the larger home for our family.

Part of her justification for the land seizure of her pitiful father was the fact my orchard and brewery was already there, to make it easier for me to work for the family business.

More news came back from the Inner Sea Atlantis, with the birth of Queen Ariel's daughter, the little Mermaid, jokes aside, and of course my Opal's pregnancy confirmation to the world, to make my life more complicated.

In a letter to Opal, I had told her that I would be visiting in the next month or two as Owen in disguise, with frigg pretending to be Gondul.

Princess Opal Blue found it funny, but was thrilled I would be coming to her again, so she kept the secret of my impersonating Owen to herself.

She even told me she will bring Bubbles to pick me up like normal, as traveling to the depths of the Inner Sea is tough for non-water Mages.

Now the problem I am facing is going back as Hao Hun, as a few important individuals have plans for me, both good and bad.

Thankfully a few of the schemes are avoidable, thanks to overhearing their plans in advance.

The person scheming against me the most on this trip is the Holy Maiden of the Heavenly Sect, who is surprisingly the daughter of both the leader of the Bloodshed Sect, and the daughter of the Emperor.

This woman seems to be pure, innocent, righteous, and beloved on the outside, but keeps up with my Angelica for scheming.

I've never met this Holy Maiden woman, so it is interesting why she has plans for me?

Also the fact I found out the Sect Master of Bloodshed is the Emperor's concubine, makes me look at her with unkind intentions.

This doesn't mean stealing her loyalty from him, but the fact she is from the murderous sect makes me not pity her, for they are even more vicious in battle and friendships than the scummy Corpse Refining Sect in the eyes of everyday people and other cultivators.

But what concerns me the most is Xue Wuxia, because even when others are talking to her about me, as both Loki Sky and Hao Hun, she never mentions my names in her words, like she knows I listen? (She worries about mentioning it, due to her Heavenly Vow taken, not because she is scheming.)

Gu Xia was smart and made her mother talk about me a lot, so that I got to hear a bit about the behind the scenes activities, like how the Emperor has had many of his wives and subordinate Sect Masters make Heavenly Vows to serve, and the reason Xia Sha couldn't retaliate directly over the death of Xia Bing.

Now I understand that Xia Sha wants to groom me to be her revenge, avoiding her Tribulation for betrayal to the Emperor directly.

Another cool thing I learned was the Emperor's true name, because no one knows it, as to avoid some magical items from affecting people based on names, so he adopted the fake name, Emperor.

How did I learn the name of the Emperor?

His inner Daemon that controls his body talks to the original using mirrors, and he happened to mention my name while talking to the original former kind Emperor and called him by his true name.

As for that damn Heavenly Tribulation, I have made it my life's goal to destroy that system, or find a way to break Heavenly vows for others.

I don't want my women bound by those kinds of laws if they are affected, so I will break the Mount Olympus system somehow.

"And if I ever find that reincarnation of Zeus, I will literally kick him in his stupid balls!"

A kind Electricity Swift Knight, named George Lion, on the other side of Myst shivered for no apparent reason to Loki's decree...
