When Maria spoke about Miss Yonder, her admiration was palpable.
"Miss Yonder is incredibly mysterious. All we know is that she burst onto the scene five or six years ago as a young woman from our country. Beyond that, not much is known."
"She first showcased her designs for bags and dresses on social media. A popular actress spotted them and immediately sent an assistant to contact her, requesting custom bags, gowns, and shoes," Maria continued. "Later, that actress wore an ensemble made up entirely of Miss Yonder’s work to a film awards ceremony, creating a sensation and launching Miss Yonder into the spotlight," she finally added.
"Many celebrities rushed to have her design for them, but at the height of her fame, she wiped her social media clean and disappeared. Now, anyone wanting to contact her has to go through intermediaries."
Arthur was intrigued. "In this age of information overload, how does she manage to stay so hidden?"
"Exactly," Maria said, lifting her chin with pride. "Over the years, many have tried to find her, but she never makes public appearances. Even when she does appear, she uses makeup to disguise her true identity."
"And her makeup skills are extraordinary; she’s even called a makeup master from another dimension," she gushed.
Arthur felt as if he were listening to a fairy tale. "Can one person really accomplish so many incredible things? Could Miss Yonder be a moniker for several different people?"
Avery quietly enjoyed her snack, a gentle smile on her lips, choosing to remain silent.
