Chapter 328: It’s just a house tour
Andrew called Richard later that night, letting him know that things were coming together, they had moved in, and asked if he wanted a virtual tour of the new place. Richard had balked at the suggestion at first, but he eventually relented and Andrew grew excited. He made his way to the front door, turned on the video, and walked Richard through the house.
The contractors were just finishing up for the day, and Andrew made sure to let them know they were on video for the person who was going to be moving into the unit that they were working on. Most didn’t seem to care, but a few seemed interested. Several didn’t mind being recorded, and even waved. Andrew chuckled, staring at the screen.
Richard hadn’t turned on his camera, and Andrew didn’t mind. The man was an introvert by nature, and he probably was feeling all kinds of feelings at the moment.
When Andrew poked his head into the office and showed off the space that Maxwell was setting up, Maxwell turned and smiled, waving at the camera without a second thought. Andrew chuckled.
"Maxwell wants to change a lot of the rooms in the house, but we’re focusing on getting your space set up first. It’s a project house, and we’re okay with it." Andrew told him, and could feel the silence on the other end of the phone. "I mean it, Ricky, it’s not a big deal. After you’re done living in the house, we’ll have a little in-law suite. That’s cute, isn’t it?" Andrew said. "I’ve never lived in a house that had one of those." Andrew heard Richard sigh on the other side.
"I...just feel bad that you’re doing all of this for me." He told him and Andrew paused for a second.
"If...I didn’t know Max, and I manifested this way, who do you think I would have gone to?" Andrew asked quietly. They were still in the office, and Maxwell perked up, hearing his name. Richard remained quiet for a long time, before he sighed.
"It probably would have been us." Richard admitted, and Andrew nodded, aware that he couldn’t see him.
"Yeah. It would have been you guys. Probably you specifically, or May. So, please stop feeling guilty about this. There is no place for guilt here. We don’t mind. We aren’t upset, and you aren’t inconveniencing us. We’re happy to help, and Max is pretty excited about it, because he gets to help another person who’s manifested recently. So, only feel awkward if you do something weird, alright?" Andrew teased, smiling as he met Maxwell’s eyes.
