Chapter 121: Inside or outside? (m)

Maxwell and Amir came back with a bang.

Maxwell had one of the servants? It felt very wrong to call them that. Workers? Maids?

He had one of the people his family employed warn everyone that they were coming back in. Ben tucked the curtains around himself again, hiding himself so that Amir could have free reign of the room and then Maxwell came in with a flourish. The door practically hit the wall when he pushed it open.

His cheeks were slightly pink, and Amir wasn’t much better. The photographers and their team trailed behind them and the others in the room besides Andrew chuckled.

"I see that it was successful." Mrs. Beckett muttered, and Andrew wondered what she’d planned. Maxwell scanned the room, and when his eyes landed on Andrew, his gaze narrowed. He raised a hand, curling his finger to beckon him, and Andrew chuckled.

Patting the hand of the man whose he held, he let him go and got to his feet. He took his time, dusting himself off and watched as Maxwell’s expression slightly soured. To those who didn’t know him, and couldn’t read him as well as Andrew could, it would look like his face hadn’t shifted in the slightest.

Andrew chuckled again, moving towards the two omegas. Amir seemed flustered, embarrassed, while Maxwell seemed like he needed something. When he finally got over to them, Maxwell grabbed the front of his sweater.

"You are coming with me. We need to go get ready." Maxwell declared, and Andrew stared at him in surprise. He looked over the smaller man, taking in the slight flush to his cheeks, the way his hand trembled slightly where he held him, and nodded.

"Alright." Andrew agreed readily, before smiling at Amir. "We’ll see you soon. Will someone come and get us?" Andrew asked, turning towards the older folks in the room and Mr. Beckett nodded.

"Of course. We know where Max’s rooms are. We’ll see you soon." There was a glint to his eyes that Andrew was distinctly ignoring, and with a nod, he took Maxwell’s hand in his own and let him lead him out of the room.

Maxwell didn’t say anything as he escorted Andrew through the giant home. He took turns like he was an expert, but to Andrew, everything looked the same. It just showed that this home did hold some memories for the Beckett’s. That, or Maxwell had a great memory. Both were possible.
