Dragon Ball: Summoning Whis at the Start

Chapter 477: Kuru And Quitela

Hearing Chronoa's words, everyone looked at one another before nodding.

After all, there wasn't much point in Chronoa staying here either.

Goku suddenly stood up as well, rubbing his hands together. His expression made it obvious that he wanted to say something but didn't know how to put it.

Vegeta also stood up, looking at Chronoa expectantly.

Pan and Trunks both covered their faces.

They didn't even need to think about it.

Their two elders obviously wanted to go over and participate in that so-called Universal Martial Arts Tournament as well.

Sure enough.

Goku finally couldn't hold himself back.

"Lady Chronoa, I want to go over there and participate in the Universal Martial Arts Tournament too."

Vegeta nodded vigorously.

"Me too!"

"You two?"

Chronoa rolled her eyes.

"There isn't currently any time-space crisis. If you travel to another timeline, especially one in the past, you'll be interfering with the flow of time. So forget about it."

Gran possessed a unique existence across time and space. Even if he traveled to another timeline and interfered with history, it wouldn't cause the timeline to split.

Goku and Vegeta were different.

Even though they had become Time Patrol members, they couldn't freely travel through time and space unless there were special circumstances.

"..."

Goku and Vegeta had been Time Patrollers for several years now, so they understood what Chronoa meant.

The two of them slowly sat back down in their chairs and sighed.

Chronoa didn't pay any attention to their disappointed expressions.

She turned around and left the GT timeline.

...

Meanwhile.

In the world behind the mysterious rift, Gran had originally been sitting on the ruined gate of the Destruction God's Palace.

But after sensing a divine aura, he immediately flew toward it at full speed!

"This aura feels somewhat familiar..."

Gran thought as he flew.

He was trying to remember where he had encountered this aura before.

Within the dim starfield, Gran's speed continued increasing.

Before long, he arrived at the source of the aura.

From Gran's vantage point, a short figure dressed in the attire of a Supreme Kai was fighting against the monsters.

The man was roughly 1.6 meters tall.

His skin was bright red, and his hairstyle was unmistakably that of a Supreme Kai.

"Is this the Supreme Kai of Universe 4?!"

Gran's eyes widened.

If he wasn't mistaken, the person before him was none other than Universe 4's Supreme Kai, Kuru.

However, there was something strange about this guy.

Normally, Supreme Kais weren't particularly powerful.

Yet Kuru's strength had actually reached the First Stage of the Divine Realm!

"That's really strange."

Although Gran had recognized Kuru's identity, he remained cautious and didn't immediately approach him.

This place was simply too mysterious.

Even Beerus and Whis had disappeared here, yet the Supreme Kai of Universe 4 was still alive!

No matter how he looked at it, something was wrong.

Gran continued hiding in the darkness, observing them from afar.

As time passed, Universe 4's Supreme Kai, Kuru, gradually began to struggle against the monsters.

The main reason was that his strength was only at the First Stage of the Divine Realm, while most of the monsters possessed power equivalent to the Second Stage of the Divine Realm.

If these monsters hadn't lacked both consciousness and reason, Kuru's strength would never have been enough to deal with them.

"ROAR!!!"

"ROAR!!!"

As Kuru's strength began to run dry, the monsters surrounding him swarmed forward all at once.

Black smoke filled the sky, dancing wildly like countless demons.

The sight alone was enough to make one's heart tremble.

Gran's eyes narrowed.

Although it was strange that this Supreme Kai was still alive, he was the first "familiar face" Gran had encountered since arriving here.

Gran still wanted to learn more from him.

He couldn't let anything happen to Kuru.

Gran was just about to step forward and rescue him.

Suddenly!

"Destruction!"

With Kuru at the center, countless spheres of Destruction Energy suddenly appeared overhead.

They scattered in every direction like flowers raining down from the heavens.

BOOM!

BOOM!

...

Like fireworks exploding across the sky, all the monsters charging toward Kuru were annihilated by the Destruction Energy.

"Eighth-Stage Destruction Rule!"

Gran, who was hiding in the darkness, narrowed his eyes.

The Destruction Energy that had suddenly appeared was operating at the level of a Rule.

And it had reached the peak of the Eighth Stage!

As for how Gran could determine the level of the Destruction Rule, that was because he had once fought Quitela, who possessed the Eighth-Stage Destruction Rule.

"Who could it be?"

Gran sensed another divine aura.

This aura also felt somewhat familiar, but he couldn't be certain.

Just like Kuru.

Gran had once met the Kuru from his own timeline before the great battle involving the Candidate Gods of Destruction.

However, the Kuru from his timeline wasn't nearly this powerful.

At most, he possessed a battle power of just over a billion.

Could the person who had just appeared be the one he was thinking of?

At that moment...

"Quitela, if you'd taken even a little longer to get here, I really would've died!"

Kuru looked upward and complained angrily.

"Hmph! Who told you to be so weak? All you ever do is hold me back!"

A yellow-green mouse descended from the sky.

He wore the distinctive attire of a God of Destruction, his entire body surrounded by purple light.

His expression was filled with impatience.

Seeing this, Gran thought to himself:

As expected.

He had sensed that aura earlier and thought it felt familiar.

It really was Quitela.

And since Kuru and Quitela were together, Gran had already guessed that the newcomer was Quitela.

Now his guess had been confirmed!

Gran hadn't expected the Quitela from this place to still be alive either.

But...

This Quitela was strange as well.

His Destruction Rule had only reached the peak of the Eighth Stage, while his pure physical strength was roughly at the middle stage of the Seventh Stage.

In Gran's timeline, if Quitela hadn't been punished by the Omni-King, his Destruction Rule would have reached the early stage of the Eighth Stage, while his pure physical strength would have been around the early stage of the Seventh Stage.

What a difference!

Kuru had clearly become so much stronger in this timeline.

So why hadn't this timeline's Quitela improved by much?

"Let's go back. Our mission this time is pretty much complete."

Quitela yawned.

"Okay."

Kuru nodded.

Seeing that the two of them were about to leave, Gran couldn't sit still any longer.

"Stop."

His voice echoed through the dark starfield.

Immediately afterward, Gran slowly revealed himself.

"Who?!"

Quitela and Kuru instantly tensed up.

It wasn't strange for them to react this way.

There shouldn't have been any other living beings left in this chaotic region.

So who wouldn't become nervous after suddenly hearing a voice emerge from the darkness?

When they finally saw Gran's appearance clearly, both of them widened their eyes.

The man before them was covered entirely in red fur and was wearing attire belonging to a God of Destruction.

"Lord Quitela, which universe's God of Destruction is this?"

Kuru thought he was seeing things.

He rubbed his eyes again.

The other man's clothes really did look exactly like those worn by a God of Destruction!

"..."

"Lord Quitela, why aren't you saying anything?"

"You're asking me? How would I know? You know all the other Gods of Destruction. I've never seen this guy before!"

"Huh?"

Kuru was instantly stunned.

Quitela stepped in front of Kuru and stared intently at Gran.

"Who are you? Why are you here? And why are you wearing the clothes of a God of Destruction?"

Quitela fired off three questions in succession.

It was obvious that he was extremely curious about Gran's identity.

Gran didn't answer immediately.

Instead, he carefully examined the two of them.

Unlike the monsters, these two clearly still possessed their consciousness and reason.

More importantly, it was obvious that they hadn't been corrupted by the cold, evil aura permeating this place.

"Lord Quitela..."

Seeing that Gran still wasn't answering, Kuru became somewhat angry.

Back when the Omni-King's Universe still existed intact, what kind of divine being would dare to show such disrespect toward a God of Destruction?
