Chapter 186 : The Limits of the Tenseigan
At this moment, everyone's hearts leaped into their throats. The colossal giant in the distance stood tall, capable of destroying everything in the town with a single strike.
But just then, at the spot where Uchiha Madara's Reanimation body had been pulverized, the ashes began to gather. They accumulated faster and faster, forming a blurry silhouette. Then, inch by inch, a person regrew from head to toe.
It was Uchiha Madara!
Finally, Madara descended from the sky. His figure flickered continuously through the air, moving from the center of the battlefield to the edge, and then quickly to the outskirts of the town. With a few leaps, he crossed the devastated wasteland and landed beside Senju Hashirama.
He stood at Hashirama's side with his arms crossed over his chest. His body had completely restored itself, as if that sword strike had never hit him.
However, his expression was grim. His lips were pressed tightly together as he stared intently at the distant Fudo Myoo statue, the crimson gleam in his eyes flickering unsteadily.
Seeing Madara land nearby, Senju Tobirama clicked his tongue.
Meanwhile, the other Kage all wore tense expressions. It was obvious they had no desire to make an enemy out of Uchiha Taiga.
Rasa stood behind an earth wall, looking the most anxious of them all. Beads of sweat rolled down his forehead. He took a deep breath, his chest puffing out, and shouted into the distance with all his might.
"Taiga, we are not enemies!"
His voice boomed, echoing clearly for everyone present to hear.
After shouting, Rasa's chest continued to heave, his breathing slightly ragged.
Beside him, Maki looked at him, his mouth twitching as if he wanted to say something, but no words came out.
Although the other Kage didn't say it aloud, none of them wanted to face Taiga right now. They wanted to avoid any direct conflict with him.
It wasn't just fear; they simply didn't want to.
The Five Kage Summit hadn't even begun. They had come here to negotiate and solve the ninja world's problems, not to wage war against a youth capable of fighting both Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara simultaneously.
If they did, there was no telling how many people would die here today.
As the leader of the samurai in the Land of Iron, Mifune also needed to step forward.
He took a step forward on the town wall, standing at the very edge. With one hand resting on the hilt of his sword, he stood tall with his back straight and his chin slightly raised. His gaze swept over the devastated battlefield and landed on the distant Fudo Myoo statue.
"Uchiha Taiga, this is the Land of Iron, a neutral country in the ninja world."
He paused, as if giving the other party time to process his words, or perhaps to bolster his own courage.
"We have no intention of interfering in your dispute. If you must fight, please leave the Land of Iron."
His words sounded tough, but everyone present could hear the lack of confidence beneath them.
Hearing Mifune's words, Hashirama blinked in surprise before letting out an "Ah." He scratched his head, an embarrassed smile appearing on his face.
"Looks like we've worn out our welcome. I'm truly sorry about that."
Tobirama, however, couldn't care less. His gaze remained fixed on the distant Fudo Myoo statue, never wavering.
He heard Mifune's words, and he heard Hashirama's, but he showed no reaction, as if their conversation had nothing to do with him.
At that moment, Madara turned his head and looked at Tobirama.
"Give me the item."
Hearing this, Tobirama scoffed coldly. He turned his head slightly to face Madara, his red eyes filled with obvious reluctance.
"Now is not the time."
His voice remained icy.
Madara furrowed his brows.
"That wasn't our agreement."
Hashirama scratched his head and turned around. His expression was calm, and his tone was gentle, as if discussing a trivial matter with his younger brother.
"Give it to Madara."
Tobirama's frown deepened. He opened his mouth, a clear sense of urgency in his voice.
"Brother!"
Hashirama looked at him, his expression unchanging.
"Give it to him, Tobirama."
His voice was still calm and gentle, but beneath that serenity lay an undeniable authority.
Tobirama took a deep breath, his chest rising high. He stared at Hashirama's face for two seconds before slowly exhaling.
Reaching into his robes, he pulled out the small jar.
Inside the transparent jar was a small, black humanoid figure. It was curled up at the bottom, motionless, as if it were sleeping or playing dead.
Tobirama handed the jar over, his eyes locked onto Madara's face with undisguised disgust.
Madara took the jar without even glancing at Tobirama. The feeling was mutual; he despised Tobirama just as much.
His long fingers made the jar look like a tiny toy. He raised it to eye level, looking at the little black figure inside, and the corners of his mouth curled up slightly.
With that, Madara wasted no more words. He simply tucked the jar into his robes and locked his gaze back onto the distant Fudo Myoo statue.
Right at that moment, the distant Fudo Myoo statue suddenly began to crumble.
Rocks and dirt peeled off the statue's body, falling piece by piece, like a person shedding a layer of skin.
Fissures spread from its head to its feet, and from its chest to its back. The entire colossal construct was soon covered in a dense web of cracks.
Debris plummeted from the sky, hitting the ground with heavy thuds. Clouds of dust rose from the statue's feet, obscuring its lower half.
Even the Majestic Attire Wooden Golem atop the Fudo Myoo statue began to disintegrate.
The wooden material flaked off the golem's body, falling away piece by piece like shedding scales.
The golem's body shrank, going from towering to short, from massive to small, transforming from a complete giant statue into a scattered pile of wood.
Standing atop the Majestic Attire Wooden Golem, Uchiha Taiga's expression remained largely unchanged, as if he had anticipated this all along.
He only frowned slightly, raising a hand to lightly press his temples.
"Are my eyes already reaching their limit?" he muttered, his voice so soft that only he could hear it.
Lowering his hand, Taiga closed his eyes and then opened them again.
The moment he reopened them, his pale golden eyes reverted to white. That magnificent, god-like pale gold vanished, replaced by the distinct white pupils of the Hyuga clan, though perhaps even more pristine.
The Tenseigan Chakra Mode was deactivated.
The pale golden chakra flames cloaking his body slowly extinguished, and the five pale golden chakra orbs behind him vanished. The radiant light faded from him bit by bit, like a receding tide.
At this moment, Taiga's eyes were still bleeding. Two trails of crimson liquid seeped from the corners of his eyes and trickled down his cheeks.
He wiped them with the back of his hand. Some of the blood came off, but some remained, leaving two dark red streaks on his face.
The previous battle, especially fighting two opponents at once, had placed a heavy burden on his eyes.
It wasn't that he couldn't keep pushing himself; it was simply unnecessary.
Continuing to drain his visual prowess would only damage his eyes, something he naturally had no desire to do.
In the center of the battlefield, the Fudo Myoo statue had almost completely crumbled.
The massive four-armed deity had been reduced to a pile of rubble, forming a towering mountain of broken stone upon the earth.
The Majestic Attire Wooden Golem had also disintegrated. Its wooden components lay scattered across the rubble, piled up like dismantled building blocks.
On the distant town wall, Tobirama's eyes lit up sharply at the sight.
Hashirama saw it too, but his expression remained unchanged.
At that moment, Madara suddenly spoke.
"Hashirama, hold him off for now. I'll be right back."
As soon as the words left his mouth, his figure vanished from the wall, as if blown away by a gust of wind.
He disappeared toward the mountains behind the battlefield, heading away from the town.
Seeing Madara vanish, Tobirama's pupils shrank slightly.
He turned to Hashirama, his voice carrying a clear sense of urgency.
"Brother!"
Hashirama remained completely composed. He merely cast a casual glance in the direction Madara had disappeared, the corners of his mouth twitching slightly.
"Don't worry."
His voice was calm and collected, as if everything was going exactly as he expected.
"He's likely gone to prepare his backup plan."
As he spoke, he withdrew his gaze from that direction and refocused on the distant mountain of rubble, where the youth stood at the very peak.
