Chapter 67: My Bunny Boy
Chapter 67
.
.
It was six-thirty in the evening when Shen Yu drove Jiang Li back to his apartment. After parking in the lot, Shen Yu let out a quiet sigh and rested his head against the steering wheel, his fingers still loosely gripping it. The day had been long, heavier than he expected, and for a brief moment, he simply stayed still.
He could feel the omega’s gaze on him.
Slowly, Shen Yu lifted his head and turned, his dark eyes meeting Jiang Li’s. The moment their eyes met, Jiang Li quickly looked away, as if he had been caught doing something he shouldn’t. That small reaction made the corner of Shen Yu’s lips lift slightly in amusement.
His gaze then shifted, falling onto the sonogram resting nearby, right beside the pregnancy test that had been sitting there for weeks. Ever since Jiang Li had shown it to him, Shen Yu had kept it—first in his old car, and then, when they cleaned it after Jiang Li had gotten sick, he had quietly moved it into this one.
Without saying anything, Shen Yu reached over and picked up the pregnancy test, staring at it for a moment before placing it aside. Then, more carefully, he picked up the sonogram, his eyes lingering on the small, blurry image.
Noticing this, Jiang Li leaned slightly closer, peeking at what Shen Yu was holding. The moment he recognized it, his eyes widened, filled with quiet wonder.
"Beanie..." he muttered softly.
Shen Yu let out a low chuckle and nodded. "It’s... Beanie," he replied.
Jiang Li hesitated for a second before asking if he could hold it. Shen Yu simply nodded and handed it over.
As soon as the sonogram was in his hands, Jiang Li’s fingers tightened slightly. His hands trembled just a little as he stared at it. Even now, it still didn’t feel completely real—that there was a tiny life growing inside him.
A small smile formed on his lips, even as his eyes began to sting with unshed tears.
I’m going to be an amazing parent... I don’t need to worry, he thought, holding the sonogram a little tighter, as if grounding himself in that belief.
"Yes... you are."
Jiang Li froze.
His eyes widened as he turned quickly to Shen Yu, his vision already blurring slightly. Had he said that out loud? The sudden embarrassment rushed in, coloring his cheeks pink as he lowered his gaze.
They sat in silence after that.
The quiet between them wasn’t uncomfortable, but it carried something deeper now—something neither of them fully understood yet.
After a while, Shen Yu reached out and gently tried to hand the sonogram back, but Jiang Li shook his head without looking at him, his gaze fixed on the window.
"You keep it, Shen Yu..." he said softly.
Shen Yu frowned slightly, confusion flickering across his face. "Why...?"
Jiang Li hesitated before answering, his voice quieter this time. "I think you need it more. I always have Beanie’s presence... he’s always with me."
As he spoke, Jiang Li’s hand slowly moved, resting against his lower stomach. That simple gesture made Shen Yu’s heart begin to beat faster.
"That’s why... I think you should have the ultrasound photo," Jiang Li continued. "For when it feels like this is all just a distant dream."
Shen Yu’s eyes widened slightly.
He could hear his own heartbeat now—loud, uneven, almost chaotic. As he looked at Jiang Li, something shifted inside him. The omega looked so small, so soft... and yet so strong in a way Shen Yu couldn’t quite explain.
The way he smiled, the way his cold scent somehow made Shen Yu feel warm—it all tangled together, leaving him breathless.
For a moment, Shen Yu felt like he couldn’t breathe at all.
Jiang Li noticed the way Shen Yu was staring and quickly looked away again, his own heart racing just as fast. A faint blush spread across his pale cheeks, coloring them a soft pink.
Then suddenly, as if acting on impulse, Jiang Li turned back and leaned forward.
His lips brushed against Shen Yu’s in a soft, hesitant kiss—a fleeting, butterfly-like touch. His eyes were tightly shut, so he didn’t see how Shen Yu’s pupils dilated, how his entire expression shifted in surprise.
"Thank you... Shen Yu—"
Before Jiang Li could even finish speaking, he moved to pull away, intending to leave quickly.
But Shen Yu caught his arm.
With a firm pull, he spun Jiang Li back toward him. The omega barely had time to react before Shen Yu’s hand moved to the back of his neck, holding him in place as he leaned in and kissed him again.
This time, it wasn’t hesitant.
Jiang Li froze at first, his body stiff in surprise. But slowly, he melted into it, his arms lifting to wrap around Shen Yu’s neck as he returned the kiss.
The space inside the car suddenly felt too small, too warm.
Shen Yu leaned further over him, careful with his weight, bracing himself against the seat and window so he wouldn’t crush the omega beneath him. Their bodies pressed close, the heat between them building with every passing second.
His lips moved from Jiang Li’s mouth to his neck, trailing soft, lingering kisses along the pale skin. Jiang Li’s body trembled slightly beneath him, so soft, so sensitive—it made Shen Yu lose control.
Jiang Li’s fingers tightened against Shen Yu’s shirt, his lips parting as soft, breathless sounds escaped him. Every brush of Shen Yu’s lips, every slow drag of his tongue against his skin, sent shivers through his entire body.
When Shen Yu’s teeth grazed lightly against his neck—not enough to hurt, just enough to be felt—Jiang Li gasped softly.
"Shen... Yu... please..." he stammered, his voice unsteady.
And Shen Yu froze.
Something about that voice, that tone—it felt familiar.
The way Jiang Li’s scent wrapped around him, the usual coolness slowly melting into warmth, revealing his arousal... it all felt strangely known, like something Shen Yu had experienced before but couldn’t place.
Slowly, Shen Yu lifted his head, staring down at the omega beneath him.
Without realizing it, his mind overlapped an image—a silver bunny mask placed over Jiang Li’s face.
That bunny boy.
The one he had been searching for all this time.
The same teasing, soft, and dangerously captivating presence...
It was him.
Shen Yu let out a low chuckle, the realization settling in.
Jiang Li frowned slightly, confusion flickering in his eyes, but before he could ask anything, Shen Yu leaned down again and captured his lips in a deeper kiss.
Jiang Li’s lips were already parted, making it effortless.
Shen Yu’s breath brushed against his neck as he spoke, his voice low.
"Jiang Li... you’re my bunny boy, aren’t you...?"
Jiang Li’s eyes widened.
He opened his mouth to deny it—but the words wouldn’t come out.
Shen Yu’s dark eyes held him in place, stripping away every layer he used to hide himself, leaving him completely exposed.
In the end, all Jiang Li could do was nod, his eyes glazed, his breath uneven.
"Y-Yes..."
