Flinx arrived at the Dungeon of Mara just a few minutes past six in the morning. Early mornings allowed him to enter the dungeon immediately since there were no adventurers during those times. Based on his experience, most adventurers would start entering the dungeon at around 9 in the morning.
Thankfully, the guild booth beside the Dungeon of Mara’s entrance was open all the time. He paid a total of 100 gold coins, informing the guild staff that he would delve into the last floor of the Dungeon of Mara twice.
Once he was inside, Flinx summoned his three elementals by casting his 5th-level spell Conjure Elemental, slotted at the 7th-level spell slot, and bound them by casting the 5th-level spell Planar Binding. If he was being honest, he really didn’t need the elementals on this floor since Flinx already knew that to expect. He just wanted to have company while fighting the dungeon monsters.
His main goal for that day was to rush to complete the floor so he would know for sure how long he could complete the last floor of the dungeon by rushing. After casting all of his defensive spells, he started his delve by swiftly flying the routes and raining death on the monsters that he encountered.
After killing the huge Earth Dragon that was the final “boss,” he immediately exited the floor after storing the loot that came out of the treasure chest and immediately reentered the 50th floor of the Dungeon of Mara. When he checked the time after he completed two delves, he saw that he managed to complete them in just 10 hours.
Flinx was glad since that meant that if he entered the dungeon at around 6 in the morning, including counting all of the loot and paying the tax, he would be able to return to his tower to rest at around five in the afternoon. The best thing about delving into the last floor of the dungeon of Mara was how he would be able to earn good experience points while still remaining safe.
His two deliveries that day earn him two items. The first one was called Chameleon Suit, which looked like a jumpsuit that was capable of turning into different types of clothing based on the clothes that the wearer had already seen. Aside from its ability to change what it looked like, it would also increase the wearer’s defense rating by a little, and it also had a self-repair function.
Flinx tested it, and the Chameleon suit changed into all types of clothing that he had worn before, including the different clothes on Earth. Unfortunately, it didn’t have any other magical properties. That meant that it would still get dirty. At the very least, he could still clean the suit using his Prestidigitation spell.
He liked the Chameleon Suit because it would allow Flinx to no longer worry about not having any clothes for any occasion that he might encounter. Another bonus if the suit was comfortable, and although it was one piece, if he changed what it looked like to something that looked like it was two pieces, like a shirt and pants, it would look like he was wearing a shirt and pants.
After cleaning the Chameleon Suit using his Prestidigitation spell, Flinx started wearing it and changed it to look like a simple linen shirt and a pair of leather pants. He still wore underwear that he purchased from his System Shopping site because he couldn’t stand wearing the item while going commando.
The second item was a pair of boots called Boots of Speed. The boots were sturdy, and the wearer would be able to cast the Haste Spell 3 times a day. The spell would last for a minute. Since the boots looked good and Flinx was still wearing the boots that he purchased from his System Shopping site, which had started to wear out, he decided to wear the magic boots.
Flinx was a little happy that his collection of magic items that he was now wearing was growing. He was not going to count all the other items that he had already sold when he was fighting monsters in Beldor Town, and the items that he had received from the floors below the 50th floor of the Dungeon of Mara that he had already given to others, either for them to pay for someday or to be sold.
He was now wearing four magic items, which were the Chameleon Suit, the Boots of Speed, and the Shield Warrior’s Bracers. The Wand of the Fire Mage was in his 4th tab space to be used when needed.
After that, he turned his attention to the mana stones that he had acquired. He managed to collect a total of 35 low-level mana stones, 30 medium-level mana stones, and 15 high-level mana stones. He found it a little weird that the mana stones were less from the previous two delved that he did.
Upon leaving the dungeon, he paid his taxes, which were 7 low-level mana stones, 6 medium-level mana stones, 3 high-level mana stones, and a total of 100 gold coins for the two items that he had just acquired.
Flinx was a little worried about the remaining gold coins that he had. He felt that it was too little. He decided that he would sell the next magic items that he would receive so he could gather gold coins again. He wished that the next items were something he couldn’t use, so it wouldn’t bother him to sell those items. If he was being honest, if he really needed gold coins, he could sell items from his System Shopping site, but he still had 825 gold coins left.
He then checked his experience points and wasn’t surprised to see that they had climbed up to 12 percent.
He returned home using his 7th-level Teleport spell after finding a hidden alley. When Flinx arrived at home, he was the first one there. He went to his room to take a bath, and after a couple of hours, everyone was home.
Flinx was surprised that Christopher brought home a lot of delicious food. He told everyone that the meals were the ones he had learned from the chef, although when pressed, Christopher admitted that the one who cooked the meals was the chef, and he just assisted the man. Flinx and Olivia understood that Christopher's teacher did it as a sign of goodwill to Flinx.
Dinner that night was truly enjoyable, and Flinx had to admit that professionals were truly the best ones when it came to their work. The food that was prepared by the chef was delectable.
“Can your teacher cook us meals tomorrow night as well? Olivia can give you the funds to pay for the meal,” Flinx said, and Christopher said that he would ask his teacher.
After their meal, everyone unwound by continuing to watch Flinx’s fight against the dungeon monsters on the last floor of the Dungeon of Mara, and even though he felt bored watching it, he just stayed for his family’s company. After a couple of hours, he told the kids that it was time to sleep, and even though they complained, they obeyed him. Olivia, Ambrose, and Christopher stayed to talk with Flinx. Olivia just reported the shop’s earnings for the day and told Flinx that he might need to refill the shop’s inventory in a few days, which basically informed him that the business was lucrative.
Christopher told them that due to Flinx’s reputation, he had received the best treatment. Ambrose told Flinx all the things that he and the four children did that day.
