Dungeon Miner Slave

DMS Chapter 35

DMS Chapter 35

The next day, when Flinx woke up, he planned what he would do next. First, he would continue practicing the newly bought spells in the forest. He wanted to make sure that he was used to casting all of them before he purchased the next set of spells from his system. Second, he would create battle simulations on paper, like at the start of a fight, what spells he needed to cast first to make sure that his defenses were enough for him to be invulnerable to whatever type of attacks his enemies would throw at him.

Flinx also planned to pen down a simulation of which spells he needed to cast during a surprise battle, like if he were ambushed or something of that nature. Once he had noted down different battle simulations, he would then practice them until they were second nature to him. Then he would practice casting all of the spells that he had until casting spells was second nature to him.

After that, he would then purchase the next set of spells, practice them, add them to his battle simulations, and then practice them again, rinse and repeat.

The downside of doing all of that was, the amount of mana stones that he had would dwindle until he was truly ready for battle again, but then again, he needed to make sure that he would survive all kinds of battles he would face in the future. Spending the mana stones that he had saved while he was a dungeon miner slave was a good investment to become a true battle spell master.

Another downside was that leveling up would probably take much longer. During that time, his fellow Earthlings would continue to suffer at the hands of the enslavers. Flinx thought of those wizards as monsters. They were powerful, and there were a lot of ways they could gather mana stones from dungeons. Instead, they decided to enslave beings from other dimensions. They should have known that sooner or later, there would come a time when the members of the races they had enslaved would find a way to retaliate. He had no choice. He was alone and would need all the power that he could get. It would not help anyone when he was killed the moment he teleported back into the world of the wizard enslavers.

He thought of the fact that the wizard enslaver's organization was fairly young. Not more than a century, and Flinx theorized the system they had in place was older than that, but more than likely, they were destroyed most of the time because of how evil the enslavement system was.

Flinx couldn’t help it. He would do his best to try and rescue the others, but he would need time.

After breakfast, he dispelled his tower and went outside the town through the gate. He didn’t have a place to teleport to where he could practice casting his spells. He decided to look for one since he didn’t want to keep walking out of the town and then flying once he was inside the forest. That took time. Time would be better spent on practice.

Flinx then remembered the water spring near some sort of hill where he killed the cockatrice. The problem with that location was that it was somewhat deep in the forest, and the fact that it was near a watering hole meant that monsters would gravitate to it. He would then need to spend time destroying the monsters instead of practicing his spells.

He could think of destroying the monsters as sort of practice, but then, he wanted to keep practicing casting his spells by following his battle simulation from actual monster hunting.

Flinx decided to search for a new place that was still near Baldor Town so that the monsters that might appear would be easily dispatched due to being low-level ones. He then stumbled into a group of trees between two hills.

The two hills were unique, and Flinx could easily remember them. Surprisingly, there were no monsters there. He felt wary at first because normally, a location without any monsters meant that it was being guarded by a powerful one, but after searching carefully for a few minutes, he found none.

Flinx retrieved his Android tablet from his 4th tab space and started taking pictures of the place. He focused on the two rocky hills because the trees would probably be destroyed by him. After taking tens of pictures, he studied them and felt that the place was already in his mind. He decided to try it out. He immediately cast teleport and was teleported back into the bench in his land inside Baldor town. He rested on the bench for a few minutes until the spell’s cooldown was over, then teleported back into the place he now tagged as his spellcasting practice location. He successfully teleported to the twin hills.

For the next few hours, he started practicing his newly brought spells. After that, he practiced the battle simulation using all of his spells until evening arrived. Now his spellcasting practice location was devoid of any fauna or flora. The place looked like the remains of a battle location. It would probably stay that way for a long time since he would keep practicing his spell there.

It was now fully dark when he arrived at his bench inside Beldor Town. He cast his Galder’s Tower spell, then immediately went to take a bath. Then he spent 50 dollars from the 910 dollars remaining in his system shopping site. That decreased his current budget to 860 dollars.

He devoured the food that he bought from a well-known restaurant, which consisted of several dishes. He then spent a few minutes on the internet until he fell asleep.

When he woke up the next day, he attended to his bodily needs, dispelled the tower, and teleported back into what he now called his spellcasting practice location. He kept practicing his spells and his battle simulation until he got hungry. Spent a few dollars on his lunch, then returned to practicing his spells and practicing his battle simulation, incorporating all of his spells. When the sun had set, he immediately returned to his bench inside Baldor Town, cast his Galder’s Tower spell, took a bath, ate dinner then slept. He was exhausted due to how intensive his practice was.

Before Flinx slept, he thought of the fact that he had spent 100 dollars on food alone since the night before and knew that he was wasting his money. He decided that after practice the next day, he would then need to create a budget plan for his food.

He knew that initially, he would need to spend a lot of money. He would need to purchase storage items like plastic boxes since he planned to prep all of his meals. The problem was, it had been years since the last time he cooked.

Flinx would probably need days before he got used to cooking again. He thought deeply about whether it was necessary, then decided it was. His current mana stones would dwindle extremely fast if he kept buying meals from restaurants inside his system compared to preparing weekly or even monthly meals. The fact that he spent 100 dollars for a single day compared to purchasing groceries for 200 bucks, then preparing them for a weekly meal, the advantage was huge, but then again, he would need to waste his time preparing the meals.

He could spend coins purchasing the local produce, and that would save him a lot of mana stones, but again, the main problem was time.

Flinx decided that he did not have enough data. He decided to spend a week just purchasing meals from his system, but this time, he would select the cheaper ones.
