Chapter 58: Ko-chan’s Despair (1)
It was late at night when Matsuko brought me back to the dorm. I was exhausted, but the rushing air still felt good against my bare skin. I nuzzled against Matsuko's chest as I slipped into sleep in her arms.
I woke up still in her arms, but no longer out in the wilderness. "...My Lady...Good morning..." The sunlight filled the room, but I wasn't in the mood to get up yet.
When I finally looked around, I found Matsuko laying next to me, watching me. "Ah! You're watching me sleep again!" I snapped awake when I realized it.
"Of course I am, nothing is cuter than watching you sleep." Matsuko smiled and brushed a strand of hair out of my face.
I blushed a little and complained "Didn't we have enough last night! I'm still tired!"
"You can never have enough of the things you like, Ko-chan~ But I'll let you off for now." She pulled the covers away and lifted me out of bed. She put me down on the ground in front of her and looked me over.
"While I don't mind this look at all, I think we need to get you some clothes before we head out, don't you think?" Matsuko laughed as she rubbed my head.
I blushed. "...Yeah..." I squirmed a bit, but my arms and legs were locked up tightly by Naruyo's Power of Time locks.
"Now then, it's been a while since you wore this, hasn't it?" She snapped her fingers and a suction appeared in my body. A second later, my tutu reappeared around my body. It was a bit comforting having it on again.
"Hey, um, Matsuko? Are you not going to remove Naruyo's locks first?" I remembered that the tutu was independent from Naruyo's locks, so even if I wanted to struggle, I couldn't, as long as the locks were active.
"Oh? Why should I? They don't interfere with your outfit, so there's no problem leaving them there. My little Ko-chan deserves every little bit of security I can give her. Unless you like struggling that much?" Matsuko smiled and inspected the tutu from each angle.
"Well.. struggling is quite fun. I can't even struggle against Naruyo's Power of Time, though. I can't even move my arms, it's like they don't even exist!" I explained to Matsuko.
"Well, to me, watching you pout and complain that you don't have a chance is even more fun than watching you struggle~" She gave me a kiss and went to the closet to find some new clothes.
"Hmm, what do you think of this?" She brought out a voluminous dress similar to the one she wore to the carnival, but this time it was blue in color. It had a corseted waist, a strapless design, and long gloves, all combined with a gemstone choker and crown.
My heart skipped a beat as I saw her hold it up against her chest. "Ah... I can't take it... it's too pretty..."
"Jeez, I'm starting to think dresses might be an even bigger weakness than compliments. Look what you've done to me, dear Ko-chan." Matsuko stepped aside from her closet and I hoped over to look in.
Inside, all the way to the back, were dresses with large skirts. In various colors and styles, but they all had thin waists and a regal look.
"This..." My legs went weak when I saw it, and Matsuko had to catch me and pick me up.
"Woah, stay with me, Ko-chan! You'll get to see them on me eventually!" Matsuko shook me a little to snap me out of my daze.
"I might not make it that long, My Lady.. death from coolness overload..." I slumped into her arms.
"Oh boy. Well you can go die on the bed, I'm going to get dressed." She tossed me onto the bed and I bounced a few times before managing to sit up. There was no way I would miss the view of My Lady getting dressed.

"So, are you doing the dress thing from now on?" Sakari spoke up when she saw Matsuko come down the stairs in a blue dress.
"Is there something wrong with dressing this way? I think it's perfectly normal." Matsuko smiled as she reached the floor with me in her arms.
"You're wearing a crown." Sakari continued her little jibes.
"And you're wearing an armbinder. I hope you're not too bored wearing it as your new uniform, are you?" Matsuko flipped the script around instead of getting mad.
Sakari grit her teeth and struggled against the armbinder, but it effortlessly held her hostage. "Well, that's thanks to someone's insistent training."
Hinari patted her on the back, "Maybe you should quit while you're behind, Sakari."
Naruyo and Hinari were wearing the cosplay tutus they had on during the start of the festival. All three girls seemed to be squirming slightly and shifting their weight often, though.
"Where's Asami? I want to place her in the council room as a reminder to the students not to go too far when they aren't happy with something." Matsuko looked around.
Naruyo seemed solemn. "Understood. Separate transport. No need to bother yourself."
"Now, Ko-chan, shall we get you strapped into your seat?" Matsuko ignored the rest and left for the car.
Hinari was the first to speak up "I expected the changes, yet I am still surprised. She looks and acts more like Ko-chan's ideal queen by the day."
Naruyo seemed unfazed. "Not only Ko-chan's influence. Political pressure as well."
Sakari seemed to understand. "It won't be easy to make the outside world accept Ko-chan. She has the fight of her life ahead of her."
Hinari left for the storage room. "I'll get Asami and take the backup car. See you guys at school."

When we arrived at school, the change was incredible. Everywhere you looked were girls in tutus and wings, and many of them also had various restraints like ballet boots, armbinders, or muzzles. The strangest thing was that most of the girls didn't seem to think anything was out of line.
The students in the cosplay tutus would helpfully hold doors or do other miscellaneous actions for those in stricter bindings without causing a fuss.
"...This is..." I was shocked at the scene.
Matsuko laughed "They sure love you, Ko-chan. Why don't you say hi to your fans?"
I hopped in the door, and was noticed almost immediately, despite not really sticking out anymore compared to the rest of the students.
"Good morning, Ko-chan~" "I hope you had a nice date last night~" "The Vice-president was so cool last night!"
I couldn't reply to anyone since Matsuko said I shouldn't use telepathy with students, but I still mphed and smiled at them as I passed by.
I noticed a sign on the notice board detailing the change in uniform requirements. Going forward, students were required to wear either a cosplay tutu or an authentic tutu as their uniform. Releasing restraints from yourself or others was punishable by additional restraints.
One thing that was especially noticeable to me was that I got all the way to class and "spoke" to dozens of students without a single one picking me up, twirling me, or doing any of the other things that got me flustered.
"They have gained a new appreciation for your efforts, other than just trying to hug you, it seems." Matsuko gave her view on the major shift in relations with the students.
"Come on, can't you at least keep up with Ko-chan?" A girl in a cosplay tutu admonished the girl next to her, who was muzzled and in a hobble skirt. She was hopping significantly slower than me, which made her friend unhappy. The muzzled girl complained, but all she got back was more admonishment. "Who asked you to try all the way to the seventh challenge? Isn't it obvious she's already got a lover? Why would she want to kiss you?" The girl in the hobbleskirt just whined more.
"Ah.. this is so annoying... I really regret my choices." A girl in an armbinder stared at her locker, unable to open it. The girl next to her, also in an armbinder, laughed when she heard it. "Oh come on, it was fun! Even if they did catch me almost immediately and held me in the air, I still had fun trying to dodge. I hope I can try it again someday. I wouldn't mind a whole class dedicated to Ko-chan's Challenges."
A girl walking by in a cosplay tutu looked over, having heard what she said. "You don't have to wait long. Even without an official class, a lot of girls have started setting up mock challenges in the courtyards. It seems the school has found a new hobby. Personally I also liked the Cuddle Dodge, even if I was too scared to get the real wings."
"I collected all eight pins, but I only got to take a photo with a Ko-chan cutout. I wish I had known, or else I wouldn't have gone through so much effort."
Matsuko walked for a while down the halls with me before saying, "It seems like the students are taking it well. Sakari's power sure is magical."
"What did Sakari do?" I wasn't aware of anything special.
Matsuko smiled, then looked away. "Oh, nothing. She helped out a lot during the challenges."
"Ah, here we are. See you after class, Ko-chan~" Matsuko gave me a little kiss when we got to my first class, then kept walking to her own classroom.
The class was surprisingly more normal than I expected. Even the teacher was wearing a tutu, but otherwise, it was just a normal class. She called on people, and they gave answers or mmphs, and then they moved on.

"So, the reason none of you submitted your status reports is... you were all kidnapped?"
"Mmmm!" "Mmmmm!"
The girl sighed and flicked her finger. The muzzle on the nearest girl was cut in two and fell away.
"P-P-Princess... You have to believe me.. It was like everyone was in a trance..."
"Of course, anyone could see something huge had happened when they looked at this place. They are already changing the sign on the door to 'Fairy Academy'. How absurd. Now, who's responsible for this? I need names."
"A girl named Kogamo. She's the new president of the student council."
"Anyone else? This can't be the work of one person alone."
"Um... Of course, the rest of the council was also involved. Vice-president Matsuko, Hin--"
The girl erupted with magic. "MATSUKO?!"
"Y-yes, Princess?"
"Like... the Flame of Judgement, Matsuko?"
"T-that's her, Princess."
She grinned widely. "Finally... I've found you at last."
"But, Princess, if you attack, we'll be breaking the Eight-Party Treaty and the elders wo--"
The girl got even more hysterical. "Did the Treaty stop her from scarring my face at that tournament? Did the elders help me fix my face? NO! They told me to use this as a way to forge my will!"
"But---"
"I won't forgive... I've spent years looking for the power that will break you... But I want more than just breaking you. I want you to break while I crush everything you care about..."
"Princ---" The girl was cut off by a black ribbon that flew at her. It wrapped around her face and in an instant became a new muzzle identical to the previous one.
"Enough. I have no use for failures. You are dismissed."
Ribbons streamed out of the girls back and formed into wings. "Just wait. Matsuko. This time, the judgement will be mine."
