Chapter 57: Ko-chan’s Carnival (8)
Matsuko smiled as she stroked my hair in the back of the cart leading to the central park. "Did you have fun today, Ko-chan? You certainly seemed to be having a good time."
"It was great, no matter where I went, everyone was happy to see me, and no one was trying to chase me. I don't mind having more fans like these." I thought about the day a bit.
"Of course, there were some annoying people, but they didn't cause too much trouble. Instead, I had a lot of fun all day. Especially after you came to get me~~" I smiled and slowly squirmed around on her lap.
Matsuko reached over and tapped each of the three girls on the muzzle, causing them to retreat and dissolve into magic specks. A second later, her touch also removed the hobble skirts from the three suffering girls.
"I know it may not have been the day you expected, but I want you to know I appreciate all the work you put in to make today a success." Matsuko smiled gently at her friends.
Sakari was the first to speak up "Seriously, this is how you live Ko-chan? I'm sorry if I ever said I was jealous."
Hinari smiled bitterly. "I had an idea how hard Ko-chan struggled to get to her current level, but I've refreshed my knowledge today."
Naruyo seemed happy, strangely. "All aspects. Performing above specifications. Minor tweaks may allow greater inescapability."
Sakari sighed. "Of course she's more interested in the fact that none of us three could escape from her masterpieces. Actually, wait, did you enjoy wearing your own gear?"
Naruyo smiled. "Such allegations. Confirm nor deny."
Matsuko laughed. "Well, I'm glad you three seemed to have figured out my intentions by forcing you to hop around for a while. Though it is extremely cute seeing you girls in armbinders. Maybe I'll have to reconsider the dorm attire policy."
Sakari blurted out "Can we not! I've been stuck in this for hours now and I'm already super bored!"
Matsuko smiled evilly, "With an attitude like that, I think I can make an exception and start a patience training regimen for you right now. Don't expect to use your arms for quite a while, Sakari-chan~"
Hinari laughed at the side. "I will submit to your whims, Mistress"
Naruyo seemed lost in thought. "Many experiments. Self experimentation. High efficiency confirmed."
I smiled as our little family bonded over our own struggles and successes. I hoped such times would continue for a very long time to come.

A beautiful auctioneer in a tutu twirled on stage for a bit before coming to the center and speaking into the microphone. "And now, the climax of the night! An auction for a date with the idol of us all, Ko-chan!" When she said my name, a spotlight turned on and shined directly on me. I tried to wave, but the Power of Time had me locked, and all I could do was wiggle around.
The auctioneer continued. "I hope you brought your tokens with you, because this is gonna be one event you won't want to miss! The rules are simple, bidding starts at one token. To raise the bid, just raise the paddle in your seat. Once we see the paddle raised, we will confirm your bid. The final winner will get to spend a lovely night with Ko-chan! Of course, there are limits. Don't get too frisky girls!"
The auctioneer brought out a huge bowl on wheels and a spotlight turned on it.
"Shall we start the bidding with one token? Who will give me one token?" The auctioneer shouted at the top of her lungs.
The amphitheater was dead silent for several seconds before a voice was heard. "I'll bid one token." A clear *ting* sound was heard, followed by a *clang* that echoed around the amphitheater for several seconds. The spotlight appeared on Matsuko, who was already on stage. She stood up and walked forward, saying in a voice that sounded soft but was clearly heard by the audience. "You won't take her from me, will you?"
I could see it, that beauty again. As soon Matsuko stood up to speak, a raging flame erupted inside her body and filled every part of her. Her magic emitted a faint pressurizing aura which caused most of the auction attendees to flinch back and not resist. This beauty, which only I could see, was irrefutable proof that Matsuko, My Lady, was serious and would never let anyone take me away from her.
Not that this would stop everyone. In fact, there were several cries of different amounts, but when the spotlight appeared on them and the auctioneer asked them to hold up their paddle, all they could do was struggle around, their arms locked away securely. After several seconds, the spotlight would turn off again. A few voices which refused to give up even after losing the spotlight were suddenly muffled and cut out, before the spotlight turned on again and found them muzzled as tightly as any of the other super fans.
After a few minutes of angry accusations and muffled complaints, the auctioneer slammed the gavel and yelled "Sooooold! Ko-chan's date is sold to Vice-President Matsuko for a price of one token! May I have a round of applause and wish you a fun and fulfilling date?"
The crowd erupted into applause, with most of the detractors already silenced by muzzles, the rest of the school already considered us a couple, so none of them tried to get in between us.
"Well, it appears I've won, and I'd like to cash in my prize. Would you like to go?" Matsuko knelt before me and spoke softly. I nodded, and soon I was scooped up and taken away from the auditorium.

As soon as we got outside the auction, the scenery suddenly started to lag behind. Matsuko's speed may not be as high as Naruyo's but she was still drastically faster than any mortal, and with no one to see, she wasted no time at all putting distance between us and the Carnival.
In mere minutes, we were beneath a single tree, looking out over a lake. "How is it, Ko-chan? Is it pretty enough for you?" Matsuko's side profile was like a picture, one that I couldn't help but try to snatch.
There was silence for a few seconds before she looked down at me, hopping in front of her. "My Lady, come down here, I can't reach you to kiss you!"
Matsuko laughed and picked me up, planting a kiss right on my lips. "How about now?"
I blushed from the sudden attack. "Hey! Wait, this is different! I'm supposed to kiss you!"
I was kissed again. "Hu hu, not if I kiss you first~"
We played back and forth for a few minutes before I was put down and Matsuko sat on a large rock nearby.
She turned somber after our little play a minute ago, and I came over to her.
"It won't be easy, you know." She started speaking a bit sadly. "I mean, for us."
"What do you mean? Nothing we've done so far has been easy" I was confused.
"That's that, and this is this. My family is filled with elders. Old, shriveled, ancient cronies who have lived for hundreds of years. They think nothing of happiness, and only for the success of the family." Matsuko continued her story.
"You aren't from our family, and you aren't from any other powerful family. In fact, you were a mortal until just a few months ago. Chances are, the elders will vehemently oppose us being together. There's only so much I can do, I can't force them all to agree." She sighed deeply.
"So far, I've hidden your existence, but that won't work forever. Some day they will find out, and some may not be happy to see an unknown mortal girl with their princess. That's why... I need to be stronger. I need to be able to force everyone to submit. I have to have my way, because I will never let anyone take you away from me." She seemed like she was giving herself encouragement more than anything, but to me, she was shining brightly.
"I'll help. I will get stronger too. I won't let anyone say bad things about you." I declared my own determination.
She laughed. "When you say it like that, I believe you. After all, you've done nothing but exceed my expectations since the minute I met you."
She stood up and dusted off her skirts. "Now then, I have to say something."
I looked up as she seemed refreshed by our talk. "What is it?"
"It's just this. You undeniably make an adorable little bunny, but to me, there's only one look that suits you best, my little fairy Ko-chan." She smiled and rubbed my head.
"Ah! I'm ready to change back too! Everyone today was so cute! Especially Hinari, Naruyo, and Sakari are all so beautiful. I didn't notice quite as well because their normal uniforms aren't as flattering." I smiled and twirled in place.
"Of course, My Lady is the most beautiful of them all. The view of you challenging the entire auction to outbid you while exploding with flames is a view I will remember forever~" I closed my eyes as I envisioned that scene again.
Matsuko seemed caught off guard and blushed, but I didn't notice because I was trying to recreate the scene from the auction in my mind.
Matsuko smiled softly and touched my head. With a suction, my bunnygirl costume was gone, leaving me naked in front of her.
A few seconds passed... "Ah um.. My Lady, weren't you going to change me to my tutu?"
Matsuko grinned. "Eventually. My date lasts the entire night, and I plan to make good use of it."
"M-M-My L-L-Lady, umm– wait!" I hopped back but in my locked state, I had no chance to resist.
That night, it is a good thing I could only speak telepathically, because I would have woken up the entire city.
