Chapter 118 Orders
Lucas watched him with a calm expression, then suddenly Mason patted his shoulder while gazing at him provocatively.
He then turned towards John and smirked. "See? This kid can't even say something… Arhgg!"
Before anyone could blink, Lucas twisted Mason's hand behind his back, making him tiptoe on his feet.
"Shit! Let go of me!!" His struggle was pointless as his arm felt like it could break apart at any moment.
Cole suddenly grabbed Lucas' other hand and just wanted to break them apart. But when he tried pulling, his face froze. Lucas didn't even budge and was just glancing at him with interest.
He then looked at the slightly embarrassed John and asked curiously, "Are these the so-called elite experts that you've talked about?"
John scratched the back of his head, then glared fiercely at them. At that moment, Mason shut his mouth, and Grant's playful expression vanished.
"Stand in line!" His shout brought terrible memories back to them, and all of them, including Mason, who was released, formed a line and didn't dare move an inch.
"Clap! Clap!"
"Impressive!" Lucas looked at him in a new light, and then he and Allison walked closer to them.
When John's eyes swept over Allison, his mouth twitched. He saw her hand resting on her gun. By the fierce glint in her eyes, he could tell that if this escalated, she would shoot without hesitation.
All of them were veterans, so of course they noticed this detail too. Now a question remained in their minds; 'What kind of teenager is so violent?'
Lucas gently touched her hand and made her calm down. He noticed that she was a little too easy to trigger, but he didn't want them getting killed.
"To think that you followed John's orders so faithfully… I guess I'll have to beat your asses if I want the same energy!" He went right in front of them, then gestured with his hand at Mason.
Mason glanced first at John. When he saw him nodding, he directly threw a punch at Lucas' face.
Lucas looked at the snail-like punch in front of him and was already feeling bored. He slightly shifted to the side and put his foot in front of Mason, making him fall face-first to the ground.
Just when he was looking at him, Lucas felt someone trying to choke him from behind.
"Black belt, baby!" Grant laughed as he tried to squeeze his throat, but a sudden elbow to the stomach made his breathing stop, and he fell to the ground in pain.
Cole and Owen looked at each other in disbelief, but they gritted their teeth and lunged at Lucas at the same time.
"Smack! Smack!"
Two more sounds resounded through the basement as the two fell beside their friends.
John smacked his own face in disappointment and disbelief at this scene. For a moment, he thought they had gotten older, but then he shook his head and realized that Lucas was the odd one.
His movements were minimal but also lazy, as if his opponents were a bunch of children throwing a tantrum. He didn't see the massive amount of strength that he was looking for, but he was still glancing at him in thought.
Lucas clapped his hands, then looked at John. "They are not bad… but it's better if we arm them."
"Wait a…"
Just as Mason wanted to get up and say something else, John kicked him in the ass, making him fall again. "Shut up!"
He didn't want to test how patient Lucas was with them. "I've taken care of that too. By tomorrow, they can begin working fully for you."
Lucas glanced at him, then nodded. Soldiers trained in war are more useful than a random hunter, especially someone with their own areas of expertise like the ones before him.
Even though he showed disregard for them, he had read their files, and he knew that they were amongst the top soldiers in the entire world. But unfortunately, war can sometimes be cruel, and your motherland can be even crueler.
As Lucas and Allison were walking towards the car, she suddenly asked him a question. "Are you rebuilding your family of hunters?"
Lucas stopped and glanced at her with a smile, then he shook his head, making her look at him in doubt.
He reached out and gently tucked her hair behind her ear, then responded, "I can't rebuild it with them… but only with you!"
Her heart skipped a beat, and she couldn't concentrate on anything else but his gentle eyes.
She suddenly kissed his lips as a wave of heat spread through their bodies.
Lucas hugged her waist tightly as his hands started moving downward. Just as they were about to continue, they stopped as they realized that they were in the middle of the street.
Allison breathed heavily as she whispered in his ear. "Let's go to your place."
