Chapter 112 Unknown Creature
There was no shining gold and no bearer bonds, but there were dollar bills. Big stacks of American dollars; Lucas could almost see the balance above his head increasing.
He grabbed one and saw that they were all $100 bills. A smile appeared on his face before quickly disappearing.
He just realized that his family was the poorest of them all. He quickly shrugged the immature thought off and moved all the cash into a big bag.
After finishing, he looked at the weapons around, and just as he was about to call the men to pick them up, he heard sirens coming from the distance.
"Damn it!" If he had more time, he could take them all.
"All members gather and retreat." He quickly spoke into the walkie-talkie and rushed toward the back door.
Once all of them gathered, he nodded to one of the men, and he watched as he threw a lighter on the ground, igniting the gasoline poured by them.
When they retreated into the distance, they could see the building engulfed in flames. The police had arrived by now, and it was chaos.
"Let's go!" He looked at it one more time, engraving the image into his mind, then turned around and walked away.
As soon as they arrived at the safe house, Lucas went to his room and counted the money.
"Did I save the world in my previous life?"
Staring at the bed of money, he couldn't help but exclaim. There were around 10 million dollars. The Calaveras really didn't trust banks.
He then put the money back in the bag and headed back to the car. Staying and resting for the night could seem like a good choice, but the border patrol could tighten security once the incident was reported.

12 hours later, Lucas arrived in front of his bar. He didn't drive, so he wasn't tired, and the previously stationed men in Mexico came with him.
As soon as he entered, he spotted Steven wiping the tables.
Steven threw the rag on the table and looked at him. "From the looks of it, all went well, I suppose?" His eyes wandered to the bag in Lucas' hands.
Lucas didn't respond and put the bag on the table, showing him the money.
Steven's eyes widened for a moment, then returned to normal. "You didn't show me this to make me envy you. You must need something."
Lucas closed the zipper and glanced at him. "One million will go to this place, and I want you to launder it and make sure it's safe to use."
He didn't want to wake up with the police at his doorstep.
Steven nodded, and just as he was about to leave with the bag, he remembered something. "I heard rumors that they are coming closer to our territory."
Lucas couldn't help but look at him in confusion. "They? You should be more specific, old man!"
Steven grumbled at him, then glanced outside into the distance. "The Alpha Pack! They must be after the new Alpha in Beacon Hills. Are you ready for them?"
He gazed at Steven with a neutral expression. He knew the danger of the group, but it was also an opportunity for him to grow stronger.
If he could become an Alpha, he would be able to create his own pack.
"I know about them, don't worry!" If he panicked every time danger was close, he would have fled Beacon Hills by now.
But running from danger was not in his dictionary.
Lucas then said goodbye and left for Beacon Hills. The town was basically a gathering place for danger, so he had to be there in case something happened.
After driving for an hour, Lucas was surrounded by trees. Night had already fallen over this part of the forest, and the trees looked oddly eerie.
Lucas had a frown on his face, feeling that from the moment he drove onto this road, he was being watched.
But when he slowed down and focused on sensing his surroundings, he felt nothing, as if he had just imagined it.
Although he could doubt his senses, he could never doubt his predatory ability. He could feel the sense of hunger coming from it.
The feeling kept getting stronger, then suddenly weaker whenever he tried sensing his surroundings. This made him certain that something was stalking him, and it was very fast.
Suddenly, the hand on the wheel trembled as he felt a foreign force trying to enter his mind, but it was quickly blocked by his Sovereign ability.
Lucas pulled his car to the side and stopped. Driving while being attacked would not be beneficial.
Rays of moonlight broke through the trees and shone on his face. Suddenly, he sensed something in the tree. When he looked over, he saw a big shadow facing his direction.
"What the fu*k?!"
When he saw the full image, he couldn't help but exclaim in shock.
