Chapter 111 Let The Slaughter Begin 2
A few men started shooting at him, but Lucas grabbed an unwilling participant and used him as cover.
His eyes fully shifted, and his claws enlarged.
"ROAR!"
The sound made their ears feel like they were bursting. Before they could regain focus, Lucas began ripping them apart one by one.
"AHHHHRRRG!" X2
All of them were horrified as they watched Lucas rip two men's bellies open and make their intestines come out.
He didn't even glance at the two and picked his next targets. His claws ripped every hunter that came into sight. They could only watch helplessly as even the bullets didn't do anything to him.
More than a dozen corpses were already at his feet. His body was like a work of art, but painted just in red. The smell became obvious even for ordinary people, bringing disgust and terror.
His eyes were devoid of any emotion, as if he switched them off and let the inner demon completely loose. "For the safety of the one I care about…you must die!"
"Fuck this!"
A man's eyes bulged, and he ran desperately for the exit. When he tried to open it, he was shocked to discover that it was locked. "No, no, please let me out!" He kept banging on the door desperately.
"Tap! Tap!"
His expression froze as he heard the footsteps. When he turned around, Lucas was already behind him. "Please…!!"
The man's mouth remained open as his throat flushed in a fountain of blood.
Lucas looked at the man who fell to the ground one more time, then at the door. "At least you did something."
He turned around and came back to the rest of the hunters. His senses were focused on the whole building, so he was not worried about them running away.
Looking at the less than half remaining members, Lucas just kept walking towards them. Araya already had the expression that she would take him down with her.
Unfortunately for her, she could only watch as her men were slaughtered one by one, just like pigs.
Lucas put down the last man and walked in front of her. "I am your doom."
Araya's lips trembled as she looked at all of her men. "You will join me in hell soon! Once the rest find out what you are, the entire world will hunt you down!"
"CRACK!"
Her body fell lifeless to the ground, but her eyes were still open, staring at him just like her son did.
In that moment, Lucas felt a sense of danger washing over him. Like the heavens were revolting against the massacre he had caused.
The blood on the ground shone redder, and he could sense some shackles trying to bind his mind. Just like what he felt when he killed the Kanima.
Before he could panic, his mind suddenly became clearer, and a barrier formed around it, protecting him from the backlash.
He walked over and sat down on the stairs, his breath heavy. That kind of danger was something he had never felt before.
He suddenly thought of the Kanima's fate if it killed innocent people. Then remembered the shackles that tried to bind him when he took its power.
"Could it be..?" He thought of the slaughter he had done more than once. "Are the supernatural rules trying to punish me?"
He felt silent at his own guess. His road would be filled with blood. His ability thirsted for slaughter, could he give up now?
Lucas shook his head. "Fu*k the rules!" If they tried to bind him, he would break them. Thankfully, his new ability could fully counter this threat.
Now he realized why he felt that his destiny was in his hands, detached from the mortal world. He was curious what other effects his new ability had.
"Is it over?!"
He focused on the door, then walked over and opened it. Three men walked in, all fully armed.
They scanned the place, and the sight made them want to puke.
"Don't waste time! Go and search the place for guns and valuables." Not giving them a chance, he quickly pointed them in different directions.
While he made his way downstairs, he looked at the steel door blocking him and swung his fist.
"Boom!"
The walls shook as the door flew apart from them. When he entered, he quickly found piles of weapons and a big safe.
This made him feel speechless. He was really becoming a professional burglar. But he couldn't just leave the money and go home.
Besides, he had mouths to feed now. Lucas could only promise himself to do more good in the future.
He approached the safe. He was a little nervous. What if they only kept some important documents inside?
He clamped the handle and pulled with all of his strength. The whole door was ripped right from the safe, and the contents inside came to his eyes.
