Chapter 132: System Updates. Surge of strength.
Lakeman, accompanied by Hancock, Robin, Lily, and a few maids, made their way toward the upper floors. Their elegant procession moved with silent authority. Soon, they arrived at the fourth level—Blazing Hell.
"Aaaaa—"
"Don't..."
"Water..."
Low, broken cries echoed from deep within the inferno. The air shimmered with unbearable heat, and the walls seemed to pulsate with flames. This entire floor was a furnace.
Prisoners here rarely survived long—most perished from dehydration or were roasted alive, their bodies reduced to charcoal under the relentless blaze.
Unfazed by the searing heat, Lakeman and his entourage strolled leisurely through the scorching corridors. The hellish temperatures twisted the air, but none of them so much as flinched.
Hancock and Robin walked beside him, their expressions unreadable, while Lily and the maids followed with composed grace, their beauty standing in stark contrast to the agony surrounding them.
Prison guards, upon seeing Lakeman, immediately dropped to their knees and bowed low, their foreheads pressed to the scorched floor.
'This prison is beyond cruel... Being Master Lakeman's slave is a thousand times better than being locked in this living hell,' thought Hancock.
Robin, walking silently beside her, felt a similar conviction tightening in her chest.
