Chapter 131: New surprises. Binding completed. (R-18)
The next day, Lakeman once again descended into the dark depths of Eternal Hell. His steps echoed with confidence as he made his way to the familiar row of heavily reinforced cells—those that imprisoned two of the most fearsome pirates in history: the Golden Lion Shiki and Douglas Bullet.
Yet, unlike their fierce outbursts and blazing hostility from three days prior, the atmosphere now was eerily subdued. The fire in their eyes had dimmed. That wild resistance was gone.
Both men ignored him completely. Not a twitch, not a glance—nothing. Even when Lakeman taunted them or spewed sharp insults meant to provoke, they remained unmoved. They had grown used to it. They understood by now that responding only fueled his twisted amusement.
Shiki stared at the wall in silence, his once-proud demeanor replaced by a jaded indifference.
"Just listening to that brat's curses and twisted psychoanalysis for days..." Shiki gritted his teeth inwardly, "I damn near considered biting my tongue off just to escape it all. If I react, he only gets worse. It's better to just shut him out."
With a snort, he turned his head away, shoulders tense but silent.
Douglas Bullet was no different. He was deep in a set of one-handed pushups, sweat dripping from his broad shoulders, muscles flexing with every motion. His focus remained locked on his training, refusing to even acknowledge Lakeman's presence.
"This brat's words are poison. Responding is like feeding the flames. Let him bark," Bullet thought, his movements steady. "Strength speaks louder than his filth."
Lakeman, however, wasn't deterred by their silence. If anything, it only added to his entertainment.
Today marked the fourth day since the system initiated the binding process for Shiki, Bullet, and Redfield. He had been coming here day after day, not to persuade them, but to torment them—mentally, verbally, emotionally. Yet something unexpected happened.
As he continued his twisted monologue, ranting for hours, he suddenly noticed something unusual on the translucent system panel that hovered in front of his eyes.
