Chapter 127: Betrayal of a brother. Queen Titi’s farewell gift. (R-18)
For Saint Lakeman, the night passed in pure indulgence, cradled in the arms of exquisite beauties who devoted themselves to his every whim. Their soft whispers, gentle caresses, and eager service ensured his comfort, making the night nothing short of blissful.
Meanwhile, in Dressrosa, Doflamingo was hard at work solidifying his rule. After executing King Riku and seizing the throne under the guise of public demand, he was now pacifying the citizens.
The people, manipulated by his intricate schemes, genuinely believed him to be their savior, the hero who had freed them from a cruel and incompetent king. Not a single doubt lingered in their minds about who had orchestrated the entire tragedy.
By morning, he had successfully calmed the masses, offering them grand promises of rebuilding their homes free of charge. Yet, within his heart, he mocked their gullibility.
'These fools. A mere fraction of the wealth they unknowingly surrender is enough to restore everything. Riku, under my control, barely caused any real damage.'
Doflamingo let out a satisfied chuckle before turning to Trebol.
"Fufufu... How long will it take to repair all the damage and restore Dressrosa to its former splendor?" he asked with amusement.
Trebol, standing beside him with his ever-present grin, nodded. "Dover, it'll take a few weeks. We'll need to spend about two to three hundred million Berries."
Doflamingo waved a hand dismissively. "Tch. Pica, you'll assist in the repairs. With your Devil Fruit ability, we'll cut down both time and costs."
"As you wish, Dover," Pica responded in his signature high-pitched voice.
Ordinarily, his comically shrill tone would have drawn laughter, but none of Doflamingo's men so much as smirked. They were well accustomed to it, and above all, they respected Pica as one of their own.
