Chapter 126: Crowning Titi. New reign in Dressrosa.
Lakeman returned to his chamber, his mind brimming with ideas as he delved deeper into experimenting with various possibilities of Devil Fruits. The room was bathed in a soft golden glow from the evening sun filtering through the grand windows, casting long shadows across the lavish furnishings.
Before long, it was time for dinner. Robin, freshly bathed and her damp ebony hair cascading down her shoulders, approached him. Her toned figure, honed from rigorous training, was accentuated by the light robe she had draped over herself.
"Master Lakeman, dinner is ready," she said, her voice smooth and composed, though her deep-blue eyes held a trace of warmth reserved only for him.
With a nod, Lakeman stood, and together, they walked toward the dining hall. Along the way, Lily and Hancock gracefully joined them, their alluring presence making the grand corridors feel even more vibrant.
By the time they entered the dining hall, Kuzan and Titi were already seated, awaiting Lakeman's arrival. As he took his place at the head of the long, polished table, the others instinctively followed suit, and the feast began.
The meal was as exquisite as always—succulent roasted meats, aromatic spiced rice, and an assortment of exotic fruits unique to Alabasta. The clinking of silverware against fine porcelain created a rhythmic harmony, blending seamlessly with the soft murmur of conversation.
Once the meal concluded, Lakeman leaned back slightly, tapping his fingers lightly against the armrest of his chair. The subtle movement was enough to draw everyone's attention. He let the silence linger for a moment before speaking.
"Now that our objectives in Alabasta have been fulfilled, it's time we prepare to leave."
Kuzan, who had been leisurely sipping from his glass, set it down and glanced at Lakeman. Before he could speak, Lakeman turned to him with a knowing smirk.
"What do you think, Kuzan? As one of the Marine's main pillars, you must have your hands full hunting pirates, don't you?"
For a brief moment, Kuzan hesitated. He scratched the back of his head, clearly feeling exposed by the remark. After all, he was known for his laid-back approach, often evading duties under the pretense of 'important missions' while indulging in his love for fishing or simply relaxing.
