’Well shit....’ Loraine thought to herself, a bit bummed out by the idea that she couldn’t use any Skills in this fight. She had yet to try out [Ignition] in a real fight, and now that she was cornered, she couldn’t use [Aura Of Haste] for an easy victory either, as that would void out the extra rewards she could earn.

’A test of combat skill, huh?’ She glanced over at the [Twin Steel Cleavers] in her hands, turning the two butchering blades over in her hands as she examined their sharp edge.

"Alright then, bring it!" Loraine declared as she got into a combat stance, gripping onto her blades tightly as the Crimson Eyed Devil Rabbits made their move.

The three rabbits immediately charged forward, their agility impressive as it allowed them to move at terrifying speeds and close the distance toward Loraine easily, Loraine’s eyes blinking in surprise as her senses screamed danger.

"Shit!"

Whoosh!

Loraine leaped out of the way, narrowly avoiding an attack from the three rabbits, their white furry bodies zooming past her as Loraine had trouble keeping up with their speed, their agility almost twice as fast as hers.

The rabbits landed softly on the ground, their bodies twisting In an instant as they locked onto her again, their bodies enveloped in a mix of crimson and blue magical energy, [Horned Strike] and [Agility] activating as they dashed forward with even greater speeds.

Loraine felt the sweat on her face break for a moment, her teeth grit as she shifted her footing, positioning herself for a counter attack.

The moment the rabbits made their way toward her, Loraine leaned out of the way, their attacks barely grazing her as she gripped her blades tight, her body spinning in an elegant motion as she counter attacked.

SLASH!

"Skreeee!"

’Got em!’ Loraine thought to herself with a triumphant grin on her face, her [Twin Steel Cleavers] cutting through one of the Devil Rabbits as it sliced cleanly into their flesh, delivering a nasty wound on it’s body.

The Devil Rabbit Loraine slashed fell out of the air and crashed onto the ground, momentarily disoriented as it began to bleed excessively.

[HP: 1180/1600]

Loraine watched using her [Eyes Of Appraisal] Skill, the rabbits health having dropped significantly after only one strike, a pleased smile forming on her lips.

The Devil Rabbit glared fiercely at Loraine, it’s wrath escaping it’s mouth in a fierce roar that burned with it’s anger, it’s crimson eyes glow intensifying with it’s rage as it got up again, a powerful magical aura enveloping it as it prepared to use it’s skills again.

"There we go~! I’m starting to get fired up!" She said to herself, spinning the cleavers in her hand as she got into another combat stance. "Come at me you little shits!" Loraine said, this time taking the initiative as she began to sprint towards the Devil Rabbits.

The Devil Rabbits charged at her again, this time breaking into a different formation, one in the middle to attack Loraine head on and two coming around on her sides to flank her.

’These guys are using battle formations!?’ Loraine thought surprised, surprised that even the lowest of monsters could be so deadly in combat.

’I don’t have any way of avoiding this one, their simply everywhere, the only choice I have is to hit meet them head on!’

Loraine grit her teeth as she raised her blades, spinning her body to generate momentum as she delivered a powerful slash to the Devil Rabbits, her blades cutting through the air as she swung with as much force as possible, aiming to slash them all in one strike.

The Devil Rabbit at the front evaded her attack, jumping over her blades with excellent agility and head butting Loraine in the chest, the white haired maiden being blown back by the force as she was sent flying a few meters away.

Loraine’s body met the ground with a harsh thud, but she was quickly able to recover as she stood on one knee, clutching her chest where the pain throbbed erratically and her face was squinting with anguish.

’Ow, ow ow ow! That really hurt, these little bastards really want to kill me!’ She thought to herself, clutching her chest.

’That was a direct attack, I lost a lot of health In the process...shit I really hope I didn’t break a rib.’

Her hand drifted toward her lip, her chest heaving as she was coughing up blood from the brunt of the attack, the pain unbearable and scaring her a bit, as she was nearly brought to half health just from one attack alone.

Her eyes widened in shock as she realized that the Crimson Devil Rabbits weren’t in front of her anymore. [Maiden’s Intuition] kicked in immediately as she felt a powerful sense of danger moving underneath her, the vibrations of the earth travelling through every inch of her body.

’Their underneath the earth!’ Loraine thought to herself in panic, gritting her teeth as she got up and leapt out of the way in time, the earth exploding as the three Devil Rabbits leaped up from under her spot, their attack missing just barely.

Loraine watched the Devil Rabbits in the air for a moment, time slowing down for a moment as her focus enhanced, her expression hardening with determination as she realized that she had a big opening to attack.

’This is it! This is my chance!’ Loraine thought, raising her [Twin Steel Cleavers] behind her as she gathered every ounce of strength in her body, the moonlight reflecting off her blades as they gleamed, preparing to end the fight in one decisive throw.

Just then however.....

Loraine’s eyes widened in surprise as she halted in her movements, her eyes locking onto the threat as a massive powerful gust of wind was hurled her way, the attack so powerful that it destroyed the terrain it flew across as it rapidly approached her.

"Really!? A surprise attack!?"

The Horned Crimson Eyed Devil Rabbit made it’s move, gathering a powerful amount of Mana in it’s mouth as it unleased it’s [Air Vortex Howl] Skill, blasting a powerful concentration of violent air shockwaves at Loraine while she was distracted.

The [Air Vortex Howl] tore up the ground and sucked in everything inside it, before reaching a point where it couldn’t absorb anymore and exploded in on itself, creating a powerful air-based explosion that tore up the ground and left a small crater.

Loraine eyes trailed the attack for a moment, gulping nervously as she gazed at the destruction it caused, a nervous sweat breaking off her face as she turned to look at the Horned Crimson Eyed Devil Rabbit, a tinge of fear crawling up her spine.

’It’s just standing there...looking at me like I’m some weak prey...It doesn’t even see me as a threat.’

Loraine’s grip on her weapons tightened as she glanced behind her at the destruction, exhaling slowly as she tried her best to keep a calm head in this tense situation.

’If that attack hit me, I’m confident I would’ve died right there. Damn it I’m at such a disadvantage, without my Skills I’m not that powerful, Yura was right, shit!’

Loraine cursed at herself, frustrated that the stupid Urgent Quest just had to kick in at that moment. She brushed it all aside though, returning her focus to the battle as she turned her attention to the other three Devil Rabbits.

Pat! Pat! Pat!

The Devil Rabbits landed softly on the ground, free from harm’s way as their boss had managed to intervene and step in to save them. They turned their attention back to Loraine, growling fiercely under their breaths as they slowly crawled towards her, preparing to pounce once more.

’If the horned one keeps intervening like that, then I might not stand much of a chance at all.’ Loraine thought to herself, taking a few slow steps backwards to create distance and prepare herself, glancing over at the remaining amount of her HP.

’One more hit, then I fail the bonus rewards, and I don’t want to lose those rewards, otherwise I’m going to unleash my wrath on these rabbits and tear them apart limb from limb!’ Loraine thought to herself, a bit pissed off.

Her eyes immediately widen with realization as an idea dawned on her, her eyes moving to her [Ring Of Storage] as she gazed at the Legendary Item, remembering the abundance of Item’s inside.

’The Quest said I can’t make use of any Skills to aid me, but....it didn’t say that I couldn’t use any Items as well!’ Loraine thought to herself with a nefarious grin forming on her lips, eyes gleaming as her confidence returned full force.
