One Piece: SSS-Rank Haki at Age Seventeen

Chapter 181: A Shura Field That Almost Exploded!!

The next morning.

Luffy opened his eyes. There wasn't the slightest trace of exhaustion from "pleasure" in his dark pupils—if anything, they were dazzlingly bright, his whole body radiating an indescribable vigor.

It was as if he hadn't spent the entire night in madness, but had simply enjoyed a deep and refreshing sleep.

He moved his fingers slightly. The first thing his nose caught was a familiar scent of gardenias, mixed with a faint natural fragrance that still lingered around him.

Looking down, he saw that Boa Hancock was lying on his chest, fast asleep. Her breathing was steady and gentle, carrying a faint nasal sound—clearly she had been exhausted to the limit.

A soft blush still lingered on her cheeks. Her lips were lightly pursed, as though she were having a sweet dream.

The pride and charm that usually filled her eyes had completely disappeared. With all her defenses gone, she looked exceptionally soft and gentle.

Seeing her like this, the images from last night—those scenes that absolutely required one hundred thousand words to describe—involuntarily surfaced in Luffy's mind.

The corner of his mouth twitched slightly as he counted silently in his head.

Four times!!

Even he couldn't help clicking his tongue at that number.

After all, it had been the Pirate Empress, who was normally unbelievably prideful and stubborn, gritting her teeth through the pain while taking the initiative.

As for Luffy, he was perfectly fine. Being a rubber man, his body had always been incredibly durable. This level of "exercise" didn't even compare to fighting a powerful enemy.

But Hancock was different—she had a normal human body. By the end, she had completely run out of strength and had even fainted in his arms.

That completely defenseless look had made Luffy's heart soften for a moment.

He sighed quietly.

He never expected that in just one night, the high and mighty Pirate Empress, whom countless people worshipped and feared, would officially become his woman.

The realization felt both novel and strangely filled with responsibility.

Luffy: …?!

Lying there quietly for a few minutes, Luffy watched the peaceful sleeping face in his arms.

Carefully, he raised a hand and brushed away the messy strands of hair on her forehead. Then he leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on her smooth forehead.

The touch was warm and delicate—like kissing the petals of a newly blooming flower.

With extreme care, he slowly pulled his arm out from under Hancock's head, afraid that even the slightest force might wake her.

When he got up, he even tucked the brocade blanket around her body, gently covering her exposed shoulders.

Seeing that she was still sleeping soundly, her brows relaxed, Luffy finally let out a quiet sigh of relief and tiptoed out of bed.

Sunlight streamed through the window and fell upon her body, outlining her snow-white skin with a golden glow. Her long hair spilled across the pillow like a waterfall of ink.

Luffy glanced at her once more, a faint smile appearing on his lips, before walking lightly toward the door.

The moment the door opened—

Luffy's pupils shrank suddenly.

He froze in place.

Morning light poured through the doorway, outlining the slender figure standing outside.

Yamato stood there, looking bright and energetic. Her long silver hair was loosely tied behind her head, with a few strands swaying gently with her breathing, softening her naturally heroic face.

Her fair fingers were still raised in midair, slightly curled.

She had clearly been about to knock.

"Yamato? What are you doing here?!"

Luffy's voice carried a hint of confusion as his brows unconsciously furrowed.

Yamato clearly hadn't expected to run into him like this either. A faint blush flashed across her face before she quickly smiled with her usual cheerful openness.

"Oh, I came to call you for breakfast," she explained, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.

"The sun's practically overhead already. I thought you might've overslept, so I came to check."

Her voice was bright and clear, like a stream flowing through the mountains.

Then, as if suddenly remembering something, she glanced toward another door down the corridor. Her tone suddenly became more hurried.

"Speaking of which, I have no idea where Hancock went!"

"I passed by her room earlier and knocked, but there was no response at all. When I opened the door to check, the room was completely empty—there wasn't a single person inside!!"

Luffy: …

He spread his arms wide and blocked the doorway, desperately trying to prevent Yamato from seeing inside.

But fate seemed to be playing a cruel joke.

"Dear husband… is someone outside?"

A silky, lazy voice drifted from behind him.

The tone was soft and lingering.

It carried the hoarseness of someone who had just woken up—yet it was also wrapped in a bone-melting charm, like a feather brushing against one's heart.

The voice wasn't loud.

But it passed through the doorway clearly enough for both Luffy and Yamato to hear.

It's over…

The words slammed into Luffy's mind like a hammer.

For a moment, he felt as if lightning had struck him. The blood in his body seemed to freeze.

His neck felt as heavy as lead as he slowly turned his head.

Behind him, Hancock had already woken up.

She was leaning lazily against the headboard.

The brocade blanket loosely draped over her body, barely covering her graceful figure while unintentionally outlining breathtaking curves.

One snow-white arm slipped out from the blanket, exposed to the cool morning air. Her skin was pale like freshly fallen snow, glowing softly in the sunlight.

Her long hair was scattered across the pillow, a few strands falling over her shoulders, making her already stunning face even more alluring.

Her eyes were filled with deliberate charm.

Anyone could tell—

she was doing it on purpose.

"Huh? Hancock?! Why are you here? And… why do you look like that?!"

Yamato's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

Without thinking, she leaned forward and poked her head through the door, instantly witnessing the strangely intimate scene inside the room.

At that moment, Hancock's earlier words—

"Dear husband"—finally registered in her ears.

Yamato frowned slightly.

She grabbed a strand of her silver hair and absentmindedly twirled it around her finger, muttering thoughtfully,

"Dear husband…? I think I heard old people in Wano use that word before…"

"What does it mean again?"

"W-What meaning could it possibly have?!" Luffy blurted out like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

He instantly snapped out of his panic, his heart still pounding wildly.

Grabbing Yamato by the shoulders, he hurriedly started pushing her away.

"Come on, come on! The sun's already high—we should go eat!"

His voice rose deliberately, trying to drown out any further sounds from inside the room.

His steps were hurried, as if he wanted to drag Yamato away from the scene immediately.

"But Hancock is still inside!" Yamato protested as she stumbled a few steps backward, still twisting her head to look behind her.

Her red eyes were filled with confusion.

"Isn't she coming to eat with us?"

"She—she can't eat right now!!" Luffy shouted desperately, coming up with an excuse on the spot.

He pushed harder and practically shoved Yamato out of the room.

Bang!

The door closed behind them.

Outside, their voices quickly turned into noisy arguing.

Yamato continued stubbornly asking about the meaning of "dear husband," while Luffy desperately tried to change the subject.

Their footsteps gradually faded down the corridor.

Until everything became quiet again.

Inside the room, Hancock was still leaning against the headboard.

The seductive expression on her face hadn't faded yet.

But she seemed completely frozen.

Her charming eyes stared blankly at the closed door, the faint smile still lingering on her lips.

A moment later—

"Pfft."

A soft laugh escaped her.

It sounded like spring water finally bubbling over, filled with sly satisfaction.

The dazed look in her eyes disappeared instantly, replaced by her usual arrogance and pride.

She lifted her delicate chin slightly and snorted disdainfully.

"She doesn't even know what 'husband' means… and she dares compete with me?"

But gradually, her pride melted into pure satisfaction.

Like a child who had secretly stolen honey.

She pulled the brocade blanket around herself and curled up comfortably on the soft bed again.

Closing her eyes, she smiled sweetly.

"So now… I can finally be Luffy's wife in name and truth."

She murmured softly in her heart, her fingertips unconsciously tracing the fabric of the blanket, feeling the lingering warmth.

But just as the thought ended—

She suddenly opened her eyes.

A deep blush instantly spread across her stunning face, even reaching her ears.

Memories of last night's madness uncontrollably surfaced in her mind.

Her skin almost seemed to still feel the burning heat, while the faint soreness across her body reminded her vividly of everything that had happened.

Hancock quickly closed her eyes again and covered her burning cheeks with both hands.

Her voice was as soft as a mosquito's hum.

"That idiot… how can he have so much stamina?!"

The final note carried a faint trace of bashful complaint as it slowly faded in the quiet room.
