Chapter 341 – Hire Me to Be Your Teacher?
Hugo Smith approached John with a wide smile, a stark contrast to the sullen-faced Lucien Ward trailing behind him.
"John, I have a proposal for you. Would you consider it?" Hugo said warmly.
"Director Smith, I'm listening," John replied.
"I want to hire you to be our teacher."
"...You want me to be a teacher?" John blinked, clearly caught off guard.
Hugo nodded. "Yes, please join us as an instructor. Our martial arts school in Houston is the premier training base for the Commercial Alliance. We recruit all kinds of talent. Right now, we have a vacancy—we need someone to train Robust Masters."
John chuckled inwardly and asked, "Didn't you people use to call Robust Masters bastard masters? Now you want to fund a course for it?"
"Hey, John, don't say that. Whether someone's a Heaven Master or a Robust Master, they each have their strengths. There's no hierarchy of value—no 'contempt chain' exists in our school," Hugo said, waving it off.
"Really? I don't buy it."
John shook his head. "I'm afraid some parents might accuse me of misleading their kids and chase me from the east gate to the west gate with machetes. I'm not looking to bring that kind of trouble on myself."
"Nonsense! Ordinary people couldn't hurt you even if they tried... Look, people might have had a bias against Robust Masters before, but the skills you showed today will change that. I believe many students—especially those who aren't power-hungry—will feel safer learning your style."
