Adam's loud, triumphant laughter echoed through the entire Kelvin estate, startling everyone in the family.
What's going on with the old ancestor? Has he gone mad? they wondered.
The martial arts competition with the Welch family was scheduled for the day after tomorrow. The mood across the Kelvin household was somber, heavy with despair. Everyone knew that this could very well be a disaster for them—victory seemed nearly impossible.
And yet, at this grim moment, their ancestor suddenly erupted into joyous laughter. Those unaware of the situation feared he'd finally snapped under the pressure.
There's no way God is blessing the Kelvin family... surely, this is a sign of doom.

Everyone rushed toward the backyard, but none dared enter. Without explicit permission from their ancestor, they didn't even step past the threshold.
Alfred arrived soon after.
A middle-aged man asked urgently, "Dad, what's going on with Grandpa?"
The man was Tanner—Alfred's eldest son and one of the key figures in the Kelvin family's middle generation.
Alfred didn't answer directly. Instead, he issued a firm order: "Stay right here. No one is allowed to enter or disturb your ancestor."
